	This is a 21 year old patient who was interested in labia reduction surgery. I recommended a labia reduction with a wedge excision of the excess tissue to improve the appearance of her labia while minimizing any scarring or distortion of the anatomy. This technique also avoids scar along the length of the outer labial edge which can occur with other techniques.

This is case of a young woman who had chafing and difficulty walking due to extra labial skin.  Some of her labia would dangle when she would wear her bikini.  Additionally, she had pain with intercourse.

This 50-year-old woman was bothered by a large excess of skin on the lateral edges of the labia majora posteriorly. This is an unusual area for excess skin and warrants a customized reduction and lifting through lateral incisions. By keeping the scars along the natural creases, they are nearly invisible and give a natural result. The standard location for skin excision and scar placement is along the medial (inside) border of the labia majora, but it would not have fixed her problem. She is quite pleased with her results.

	This patient is a 26 year old who was interested in a labiaplasty. Large Labia minora can cause pulling, irritation and pain, as well as make women and young women feel self-conscious about this body part in clothing, bathing suits, yoga pants and lingerie.

Large Labia minora can cause pulling, irritation and pain, as well as make women and young women feel self-conscious about this body part in clothing, bathing suits, yoga pants and lingerie. Pigmentation can be reduced to make the edges lighter and pinker.  After childbirth, women can feel wide or open, have less sensation with sex or fall out issues due to damage at the opening.  Air that causes gas-like noises can be embarrassing.  These can be improved by vaginal tightening, also known as vaginoplasty.

Labiaplasty: Labia Minora Reduction, Frenulum Reduction, Perineal Skin Reduction, MenopauseThis perimenopausal woman was bothered by her large darkened labia. The frenulum is the part of the labia minora that connects to the head of the clitoris and hers was large and asymmetrical. Reshaping this area was critical to obtaining an excellent result and is part of most of my procedures. Also, the skin of the perineum was also loose and enlarged and required special attention. An additional challenge in women at or near the menopause is the loss of skin elasticity. This requires a nuanced approach to avoid unwanted tightness in the wrong places.

Patient underwent a vaginal rejuvenation.  Patient had a deflated labia majora (outer lips) and a large labia minora (inner lips).  The labia majora was treated with fat transfer to add volume.  The labia minora was reduced.  A wedge resection was used to minimize the scarring that is visible.
