Dr. Steven P. Davison, DDS, MD, FACS is a triple board-certified plastic surgeon with 26 years of experience. Dr. Davison and his staff are prompt, friendly, and efficient. The clinic is beautiful and clean. Scheduling and communication were a breeze. Great operation overall. Most importantly, I'm very happy with the results. The experience was consistent for each of my appointments. I will return to DaVinci for any future procedures or cosmetic work!
My 2nd procedure with Dr Davison - he did my breast lift and augmentation in late 2020. I was interested in face filler to smooth out marionette lines. I was apprehensive about bad results and the weird "filler face" you see a lot of people having from overdoing it with filler. Dr Davison recommended getting filler in the marionette lines to smooth them out, AS WELL AS filler in my cheekbones to help stretch out the skin and tighten the skin over the marionette lines. I was apprehensive about filler elsewhere in my face, but I do put a certain degree of trust in Dr Davison's expertise. Well, I'm glad I listened to him. Result is fantastic - VERY subtle, not at all obvious. I still look like me, but the marionette lines are all smoothed out and I have slightly more pronounced high cheekbones. Once again I am impressed at how Dr Davison is very direct with his recommendation, he understood my concerns, and he delivered a result that is just what I wanted.
I got it done 2022. Since the beginning it has been a problem. You could always see the outline. As time went in it became looser and more detached. When I sit down the whole implant detaches and is viewable. I am so ashamed and upset. I haven’t been able to afford a revision yet and that’s why I still have them in. The pain is horrible I have to constantly take medicine to not feel it. I don’t sleep though the nights because I have to take turns turning over or I wake up in excruciating pain from putting pressure on implant. When I stand you can see it poking out! What an embarrassment. Everyday I’ve had to wear compression shorts to keep it in place as much as possible. I had to quit my job dancing Everyday I stay home . Driving hurts. Sitting hurts. Standing and laying hurts. I am not sure what went wrong here. Very sad and wish I could afford to fix it asap. I had fat transfer but it went away almost immediately. My body weight fluctuates a lot and I am on the smaller side . Updated on 26 Aug 2024: If you have a butt that’s not completely inverted PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS. I just got mine out and wish I could go back to my tight small butt before. I look like a botched nightmare that was run over by a car on one Butt cheek. I am so sad . I have learned many valuable lessons from this I now not only have no Butt whatsoever ever I have a flat board with skin hanging off of it like I’m 103 years old. I’m not even 30! Updated on 27 Aug 2024: I wish I could go back in time and never have gotten Butt implants. I chose the “largest “ size that was in my “safe zone” I told him I don’t want to have negative effects and would rather just have a natural appearance in the largest size safe for my body. I got 350 which is still quite small. I had infection after infection and right when I went home you could see the whole implant. My other reviews touch on my journey. I just wish I had loved myself more than to do this. Please go take a look in the mirror and find what you appreciate and see what you can workout with exercise and diet. Look at your younger self. This is not a mean review on him. Updated on 11 Sep 2024: This has been h*ll for 3 years. I’m trying to recover from the implant removal and it’s a nightmare. Now I have to go in to get drains places because of an abscess instead of already having had drains placed immediately. I should have loved myself and not gotten implants Please reconsider. There’s no reason my case should have gone like this. Im young, healthy, active and yet here I am. Now I don’t want to leave the house or look in the mirror. Im in pain. Im drained and overwhelmed. Im so over dealing with this superficial stupidity! I just want my natural butt back.
I can’t thank enough Dr. Davinson. My journey started in December, 2022 when I went to Dr. Kirit Bhatt to exchange my implant from 350cc to less then 300cc and I ended up with my breast deformed and botched and my right breast implant got out of place that only my skin was holding it and my skin turned black and blue. After 4 months of the previous surgery I had to get another surgery to remove my implants with a reconstruction on my right breast. I am so glad my oncology referred me to Dr. Davinson. He removed my implant and he did fat grafting. Since my surgery I went to see Dr. Davinson more than 10 times because he wanted to make sure that everything is healing well. The caring and compassion of the entire team is unbelievable. They made me feel special, especially that I wasn’t feeling confident with my appearance. After a long 9 months of healing I got the green light that I can place small implants and I was extremely happy. Last week, I went under surgery without too many expectations but Dr. Davinson and his team went beyond perfection. I still have swelling and my breasts looks so beautiful. I can't say enough about Dr Davison. He truly is a talented artist. He listens to you patiently before and after the surgery. He doesn't recommend what's not necessary and answer all my questions. I never felt pressured by him or his staff.
I developed extremely asymmetrical with my left breast hanging much lower than my right. I've always been an approximate 34D/DD and I wanted a lift that would provide a symmetric and natural result without my breast appearing smaller. I found Dr. Davison through intensive research on the best breast surgeons in the Washington D.C. area. After months of obsessive contemplation, I finally went through with the procedure. I am now two months post op and very happy with the result. Although my right muscle (has a slightly larger sub-muscular implant of 310cc) seems to have yet to drop, I'm hopeful the tightness will soften. My biggest fear was the visibility of Mastopexy scars being that I have very dark skin. I'm actually amazed at how minimal they are. If it weren't for the care and patience I received from Margaret, the patient coordinator, I'm sure I never would have never have followed through with this thing I desperately wanted for 25 years. I have been to Dr. Davison for several procedures. He performed liposuction under my chin, a BBL and revision from a Tummy Tuck I had somewhere else years before. I love him and I love his staff! He listened carefully to what I wanted and asked questions. I have had fillers by the wonderful Nora and Thermiva treatments performed by Nora and Eliana. During one of my ThermiVa treatments Nora noticed a small growth and thought I should have it checked. She grabbed Dr. Davison as he was coming out of surgery and he was happy to come right in a take a look. Within a week I was back, Dr. Davison removed the growth and luckily it was nothing. I've wanted the surgery for years, I got it finally and instantly thought WHY HAVENT I BEEN DONE IT!!!! I'm so happy so far! I was discouraged because of some of the reviews that describe this experience as unbearable but (my personal opinion! I know everybody's pain tolerance is different!) it was a complete breeze. I'm not sure if it was my doctors methods that made this procedure a breeze or if I have a very high tolerance for pain but honestly my tattoos hurt more than this procedure. 1. It was no where near as painful as described. 2. The local anesthetic shot prior to surgery (which everyone describes as the worse part) hurt less than a tattoo and is a pinch that last for a few seconds. 3. The only sign of discomfort was when the anesthetic wore off when I got home. I took the pain meds my doctor prescribed and I had a chill night and slept throughout the whole night. 4. After surgery urinating does not sting or burn. (In my case) I arrived at my surgeons office at 3pm. His nurse greeted me, sat me in a room, and explained what we were going to do. She rubbed numbing cream all over my vagina. At this point I'm scared af because I know the shots were coming. She said they'd let it sit for about 15 min to numb , then my surgeon will come in and give me the anesthesia shots. He came in went over what we would be doing again, I asked a few questions and he briefly answered. Then he began making his lines of what would be removed. He noted that I didn't need any clit work done but there were skin on the outside that's holding it down that he would remove. I was very pleased as he explained my outcome will be remarkable because he felt that I was the perfect candidate. Then he brought out the needle I was mortified!! Then we warned me I was going to feel a pinch. He started giving me shots all over my vagina and like I stated before it literally felt like little pinches not bad at all. Then we moved into the operating room. The nurse was so helpful she gave two warm blankets and ensured I was comfortable. I asked a few questions about pain and she explained that people often chat throughout the surgery so that relaxed me a lot. The doctor came in and gave me another shot down there before he started which I could barely feel. He began operating and I couldn't feel anything. We were listening to music and chatting. I was so comfortable. There was an assistant in the room other than my doctor and nurse, that just sat on his phone the whole time and didn't even bother to greet me. I believe he was there to aid them but didn't make me feel comfortable with him being there at all. At one point of the surgery I believe he may have started to use a laser and I could literally smell the burning, which didn't bother me really I was just happy the surgery was going so smooth. Another point of the surgery, I believe my right labia was not numb enough so I felt him pulling (which I shouldn't feel anything). I told him he immediately stopped and gave me more anesthetic and from there I literally couldn't feel anything. The surgery was over, my doctor got up and I asked damn it's over already he said yes you did great and then mentioned again that I'm going to love the look, explained the nurse would take care of me from there and then he left. The nurse walked me to the recovery area, I put on my clothes, she went over the aftercare, then I headed out. There is a Walgreens inside my surgeons building so I immediately picked up my prescription and my mom drove me home. The ride was a breeze I was still completely numb the entire 40 min drive. I did take my pain pills before we started driving just in case. I got home put pillow under my feet, ate some food and was comfortable. I believe the anesthetic started to wear off because I could feel some discomfort no pain just pressure in that area. I was also nervous to use the bathroom but it was inevitable. So went to pee for the first time after surgery and no pain! :) I just splashed urine everywhere. -__-. I cleaned up and laid down and slept the rest of the night. Updated on 23 Apr 2020: I use the skintegrity after using the toilet, I wipe with a wet wipe then spray it all over then pat dry. Then I spray the dermablast, and apply Bacitrain. Then change into a new pad. Updated on 23 Apr 2020: Nothing changed as far esthetic, still very swollen, no pain. When I ever I feel any discomfort I take my pain bills. I probably should try to get off of them but I thought it was to soon to stop taking them. Updated on 23 Apr 2020: Woke up feeling great, no pain. Swelling has gone done a little. Updated on 24 Apr 2020: Last night I was experiencing a sharp pain, I took my pain meds and was knocked out all night. Woke up with no pain. Updated on 26 Apr 2020: Swelling has went down tremendously. It’s seems like the more days pass the more uncomfortable it gets. I can literally feel the stitches rubbing on my sensitive skin:( I’m still taking my pain pills. Still happy as can be just excited for final result! Updated on 26 Apr 2020: Tonight has been the most uncomfortable yet, the swelling has completely went down and now I can feel all the raw, healing skin and stitches. It’s not painful but I find it very uncomfortable while trying to sleep. I’m so scared I’ll sleep the wrong way and mess up the stitches or healing. So I decided to take more pain pills because they help me sleep freely without overthinking. Also I’m not sure what is causing a yeast infection but it seems like I’m experiencing the worst one I’ve ever had in my life. Its not itchy, just thick white discharge. I have my first follow up with my doctor tomorrow so I’ll update then. Updated on 28 Apr 2020: My follow up appointment was yesterday, my doctor said it’s healing just fine. He did remove some of the stubborn sutures and ohhh boy :( That was painful. All of those sore areas that I was having a problem with he started poking around in them. However, I felt so much better once those sutures were out I felt like they were so irritating and I could literally feel them poking the sore skin. Now I feel great, sleep was much better last night. Can’t wait to see the improvement at the two weeks mark. I have not attempted to shave and won’t until I think I might be unhygienic. Excuse the hair in the photo! :) Updated on 5 May 2020: Today officially marks two weeks, honestly I’m still so happy, this surgery has lifted a huge burden from my shoulders. I have more confidence even just walking around alone. I love the new look and at 2 weeks post op, I can definitely say my doctor exceeded my expectations beyond belief he did a beautiful job! Anyways, no pain I went out for the first time at day 6 and had no problems at all. Yesterday I worked out for the first time, I took it easier than normal but I didn’t experience any pain or discomfort. Sometimes I forget I even got it done! I have not shaved yet, so excuse the hair in the pic! I’ll be back at 3 weeks! Updated on 12 May 2020: Just hit three weeks today and I’m still feeling fantastic, I have continued all my normal activities except for sex. My doctor said wait about five weeks from my follow up appointment to have sex:( sucks I know but my boyfriend is being very patient. I don’t experience any pain just a random throbbing every once in a while.My lips have soften out but I think there’s still some sutures that hasn’t dissolved. I laid off most of the products I was using. I only use the dermaplast spray after I use the bathroom and the dermaplast itch spray because it does feel itchy most of the time, and I use my ointments if it feels dry down there. To clean I don’t use anything but water from my shower head for now, I’ll start doing sitz baths maybe this week.I have my follow up appointment in a few weeks. I will probably not update until then.Per usual excuse the photo I have not attempted to shave. Updated on 19 May 2020: Today is officially week 4 !!! And I can’t express how happy I am that I decided to go through with this procedure, I am very blessed to have not experienced any complications so far! I am feeling completely back to normal now, no pain at all. I do still feel a bit of hardness where he stitched me up but no pain. I did start to trim and shave my hair where the lips are and wax everywhere else because I’m not comfortable just yet. I know no one ever discusses sex, but I’m making my review to help anyone considering this surgery like I needed when I was on the fence. One of my main concerns when considering this procedure was when I’d be able to get back to sex, because I am in a relationship. Throughout entire process I was very honest with my partner, from considering the procedure, to the consultation, the surgery and healing time. So everything was understood. If you’re single it’s great! You don’t have to update someone other than your doctor lol. But anyway I decided to have sex at the end of week 3. My boyfriend examined and thought I was ready for sex lol (warning graphic) we tried finger, fingers then went ahead and had sex and it was great! No pain. I did feel some discomfort afterwards where the stitches are at the top of my vagina but no pain near my hole (I’m guessing because there was not really any work done down there) it was great I immediately cleaned my self up and the next couple of days we kept doing it no problem! I’ll be back for week 5! Updated on 26 May 2020: I don’t really have much to say I don’t even notice I had the procedure done. I feel completely back to normal! Since this will probably be my last review for a long time, there are a few things I do want to go over. 1. I haven’t lose any form of sensation as far as now. I actually feel like now my clit is so much more stimulated. It feels better. I’ve seen some reviews where the person will say they lost sensation, and I look at their pics and they were completely amputated! So idk if that’s a factor or not. 2.I did thorough research on my doctor. I learned that he is very popular in my area with great credentials therefore, I was confident in him to give me great results and understand not only the aesthetics but also how important my sex life afterwards would be and my expectations were exceeded so far! With that being said GO TO A GREAT DOCTOR! LOOK AT THEIR REVIEWS! Take your time, it took me 2 years to decide who I would trust with my lady parts. 3. I did this surgery for myself. I was uncomfortable constantly and the discomfort during sex didn’t help at all. As far as aesthetics, I came to terms with the way my labias developed before the surgery every relationship I was in my partner never made me feel uncomfortable about them. Of course a man will be honest, you have to deal with that. Some will not like it, some don’t care or won’t mind it. Just don’t base the decision to get the surgery off of your partner, or any other persons opinion because half of them don’t even know anything about vagina anyway! 4. Love your pussy how it is, every flower is unique:) but change it if you want! Understand the different outcomes of the surgery. Don’t compare your results to someone else’s, as I stated before every flower is different! Focus on what aspect makes you uncomfortable! Once everything is considered and you’re confident in your surgeon do it! It’s your body, your choice! If have questions let me know! That’s all! I will post my results at week 6! Hello, and thank you for your question. The sort answer is, age is just a number. In general, surgical clearances are based off of health history moreso than age. Please visit a board-certified plastic surgeon -- depending on the type of buttocks augmentation you wish to pursue, the time under anesthesia associated with that procedure, and your own personal and family medical history, your plastic surgeon will ask you to get certain pre-operative clearances from other physicians. For healthy individuals within a normal weight range for their height and age, this poses no problem and they can typically get all clearances from a primary care physician. However, if you have a significant history, such as a prior or current history of diabetes, heart problems, or blood clots (DVT/PE/VTE), the pre-operative clearance process becomes more intensive, but not insurmountable by any means (you may need to be checked out by one or two more physicians prior to getting cleared for surgery). These clearances serve as a mechanism to check that the procedure and anesthesia associated with that procedure is as safe as possible for you as a patient. If you have a complex or significant medical history, are on medication, or have a significant family history, it is important to disclose these risk factors to your plastic surgeon so that they can make sure you are appropriately cleared with surgery. Additionally, it is always very important to follow your physician's pre and post-operative instructions to make sure your procedure and recovery go as smoothly as possible. I hope this helps you!
Hello, and thank you for your question! I certainly can appreciate your concerns regarding sensitivity. Here, there are a number of factors to consider: 1) Labial reduction is certainly possible. However, to get the contour and coloration to match the picture in question, you would likely need a wedge excision technique. The wedge excision maintains the color gradient of the labia minor/majora while still giving an excellent reduction and contour. The look you are going for is certainly achievable with this technique, but this technique is more advanced than a typical tissue amputation technique. You clearly want some labial show, which lends a more natural appearance. I would recommend going to a board certified plastic surgeon in your area and consulting with them to decide on the best course of treatment for you, as pictures can only tell so much. 2) In labiaplasty surgery, clitoral unhooding sets the position for the labial reduction. If you are in fact experiencing increased clitoral sensitivity, I would speak with your plastic surgeon in advance. Sometimes, this sensitivity can be confused with general sensitivity in the area or sensitivity associated with "chaffing." Many patients prefer the aesthetics of clitoral unhooding, so please make sure to discuss this concern in depth with your surgeon. As with any surgery, it is important to note your sensitivities to your surgeon, but especially so with labiaplasty, which is often performed under local anesthetic. If you have concerns about sensitivity, you may wish to have an operation under twilight, or even general, sedation. I wish you all the best!
Hello and thank you for your question. I understand that you are concerned about the tip of your nose. It is difficult to appraise cosmetic outcomes by photographs, especially when you are still in the initial stages of surgical recovery. It is promising that your nasal tip looked aesthetically appealing to you on the day of surgery. Before you worry about final results, bear in mind that you are only one week out of surgery. Often, in the first 24-72 hours after surgery, swelling collects in the nose. This is why many physicians put nasal casts on patients post-rhinoplasty, as you had according to the pictures. This swelling can take up to 6 months to one year to fully disappear, depending on the type and extent of the rhinoplasty. The nasal tip is often the last portion of nasal swelling to dissipate post-rhinoplasty. This swelling in the tip of the nose can cause a temporary "bulbous" or "droopy" appearance. As such, I would recommend being patient and waiting for swelling to subside before judging the final results. With a board-certified and well-respected plastic surgeon, I suspect that you will be pleased with your results, which many not be fully apparent for a little while. That being said, I would discuss your concerns with your surgeon in-person, who can give you a better estimate of when you can expect to see the final results. Hello and thank you for your questions. I understand that the days following a surgical intervention can produce anxiety about final results. However, I think right now you should focus solely on your recovery -- following all post-operative instructions and ambulating regularly. This will ultimately get you the best results possible. You are only two days post-op and the swelling from your surgery will not reflect the final results. As the swelling resolves, the placement of the incision lines will likely shift and the skin placement and laxity may very well change. Thigh lift surgery will not yield immediate results; any surgical intervention will introduce swelling and changes to the body that can take months to resolve before the final results are evident. At the sixth month mark, most of the swelling will be resolved and you may begin to speak with your doctor about revisions. However, right now is not an appropriate time to speculate about final results. Your physician is correct on erring on the side of safety -- if skin laxity is still an issue later, more skin can always be taken out. For right now, embrace your smooth recovery and let your body resolve the swelling before making judgments about the final results.
Thank you for your question. Facial scarring can be incredibly disconcerting, and I think you are well justified in wanted the best result possible. The quality of the photos makes it difficult to evaluate your scar; that being said, photos or not, I would highly recommend you visit a board certified facial plastic surgeon. As a facial plastic surgeon who does many scar revisions and facial reconstructions, I may or may not take a surgical approach depending on the hypertrophy (width), location relative to anatomical features (such as your mouth), and depth of the scarring. If the scar is relatively well-healed, I might recommend localized dermabrasion, which will resurface the skin. This route requires about a week of care for the dermabrated area following the treatment to ensure a good result, and then avoiding UV/wearing sunscreen on a regular basis to avoid discoloration. If the scar has created a divot in the skin, fillers may be appropriate to recreate the contour of your cheek. With fillers, you would need to avoid alcohol, NSAIDs, exercise, and putting your head below your heart for 4-6 hours after injection. Fillers would not be a permanent solution and would require re-injection at designated intervals (most metabolize in 9 to 24 months, depending on which one you use). However, the scar may require a scar revision, which would rearrange the local tissues to avoid any abnormalities or the look of pre-mature aging. I would hesitate to reopen a well-healed scar as it requires more post-operative care (social recovery while you have sutures/surgical dressings, staying out of UV rays, ect.) than the former options. A scar revision, however, may be necessary for a long-term solution. I hope this helps you, and I wish you the best of luck!
