This patient, a 66 year old woman who was positive for breast cancer in her right breast, decided on a mastectomy of the right breast and followed with a latissimus reconstruction of the right breast and a mastopexy, or lift, on the left to improve symmetry. The latissimus dorsi flap method uses skin from the patient's body and is commonly combined with a tissue expander and breast implant.
