This 38 year-old woman was diagnosed with right breast cancer after finding a lump. Given the size of the tumor, her surgeon recommended right mastectomy and with her family history of breast cancer, she elected to have prophylactic left mastectomy as well. At the time of her mastectomies, she had reconstruction of both breasts with tissue expanders followed later by placement of silicone implants and nipple reconstruction. At the time of surgery she was 5’4” and weighed 120 lbs.
