I was informed during consultation that downtime would be about 2 weeks from Day 1 of procedure to the removal of the bismuth mask however the total downtime would be about 3-4 months to see redness/PIH go away. I was also told for as long as my skin is red I should avoid working out/running as high intensity activities could cause more pigmentation to occur. I'm well aware of avoiding the sun but how true is this statement and how soon can I resume?
I want the best possible scar outcome. A non-textured flat scar is the most important thing for me. Will a croton or phenol peel on the scar help get the flattest scar possible? My budget it limitless and I am willing to go through the healing of the peel if will help my result. How many months post op do you recommend getting the peel for optimal results? Side note: I will be doing silicone scar therapy after surgery and please dont tell me time is the best solution. Thank you!!
I heard that true phenol is the deepest peel and it is basically a full thickness burn that can be done only once, the skin changes loses it's elasticity, in some cases pigment and sensitive to UV for life. By the way does phenol eliminate black heads? Will I be able to do facial plastic surgery after phenol peel? (nose job, face slimming ext.) if not, are there lasers that can give similar dramatic results as phenol peel?
I had a modified Phenol peel 36 hours ago, my skin started peeling within 18 hrs in some spots. I have noticed that the lines are still there. Does this change over time? My Dr said that I had a deep peel but not the deepest and I may need to redo my mouth and eye area. I thought phenol perks only had to be done once?
I'm going to get a deep phenol peel on my entire face. I had a face lift done several years ago and the scars are mature. What effect will the peel have in the scar? Will it end up making the rest of my face the same color as the scar?
I saw there is a doctor who uses phenol/croton oil peels to actually augment the lips, to make them tighter, plumper, and reduce wrinkles. The after pictures are very impressive. Is this procedure safe and do many doctors carry it out? Thank in advance.
I have done a lower eye pinch at this time and still have inner lower eye creepiness. I have also done a CO2 laser, 6 intracel lasers and PRP. Still no results. I am only 42 but I think its hereditary. Dysport helps a little
I have very deep lines around my upper lip. I am 59 with very fair thin skin. I have been told that a Phenol peel is ideal for my skin. I have had the Yag long pulse laser several times on this area , and it has made little difference. I now live in Thailand , a dermatologist suggested I use the Erbuim Yag, but a well know plastic surgeon here told me it's going to make much difference on my my skin. He suggested the Phenol treatment for my fair delicate skin for long term results. I do not want Restalyne injections etc. This does not last. Please could you give me advice on which procedure I should undertake? Is it safe to use the Phenol peel around the eye area, if not what do you suggest. Thank-you in advan
