I was informed during consultation that downtime would be about 2 weeks from Day 1 of procedure to the removal of the bismuth mask however the total downtime would be about 3-4 months to see redness/PIH go away. I was also told for as long as my skin is red I should avoid working out/running as high intensity activities could cause more pigmentation to occur. I'm well aware of avoiding the sun but how true is this statement and how soon can I resume?
