Hello, When will the shininess improve? 4 months ago I had radio frequency mole removal, at the moment my scar is light pink and slightly shiny. This shininess is making the scar hard to cover with makeup as it is slightly atrophic too. When will this improve? I have been using silicone gel for 3 months. What are my treatment options and how long should I leave it before I do something? Would microneedling be of benefit? Thanks!
In February, I used Haloderm because it had many good reviews. The mole fell off, but left a pink circle in its place that looks worse that it looked before. How can I get rid of it? It has been there for about 4 months now and I feel really uncomfortable wearing short sleeves now.
I got a scar from removing a mole using Apple Cider Vinegar. It resulted in creating a crater. A scab formed which eventually came off resulting in a pink scar. Before, the scar was concave and pink. Now it has darkened over two weeks the edges are even darker (purple color) creating a dark ring. Why are the edges so dark? Is it hyperpigmentation or melanin? Please advise if this is part of the normal healing process and if you have any recommendations at this early stage of scarring.
A little over a week ago I used a mole removal cream to get rid of a flat mole I had on my nose. It took 3 overnight applications to scab. I put antibiotic ointment on the scab whenever I could. The scab fell off after 4 days and the new skin did look healthy, but there was an dent left. I put on ointment and a bandaid whenever I go out in the hot sun. Today it looks like a small indentation that is still pink.
Hello, My mole was very small, 1mm, and I noticed it was gone and a shiny, pink dot was left. The mole was circular and the colour was black. I'm scared that I peeled off a melanoma. I watched a video on youtube that said melanoms can be as small as 2mm or 1mm so im scared. My question is If a melanoma mole comes off or peels off, would it completely dissapear? Or would it regrow as the cancer cells could create another tumour/melanoma mole?
I had a biopsy done on said mole and it was revealed it was a harmless congenital mole. It is on my side, below my ribs. But it was very deep and had roots down past my dermis. It was removed several months ago, but now has a dark, brownish-black colored dot on one side of it and is very pink. It also constantly itches and sometimes burns. (Pictures)
mole developed R wrist Oct 2011, no growth but darkened while pregnant I dermatologist saw Nov 2013 and another in March 2014, said it looked fine under dermatoscope. My problem is I squeezed and picked it off leaving a scar. Now I am scared that it was a melanoma and it is deep under scar tissue. No dark pigment in the scar just pink. Can a melanoma be scratched, rubbed, picked off. wouldn't it have grown or changed significantly in 2 plus years? I'm so worried. I am 34 and a mom of 2 precious babies.
