Hello. I did a mole removal surgery in my left arm about 10 monthes ago, the doctor did 3 stitches and now I have hypertrophic scar when the mole and the stitches were. The scar was red and now the scar is red only in the middle , and the edges is white. The scar is not flat. Will it heal and become flat ?? Can I do something to treat it?
I had 9 moles removed exactly one month ago by incision. The scars looked great at first, small, thin- straight lines and very smooth/flat. About a week ago they stsrted to raise and get tender, now they are round, raised and red. I called the surgeon and the office told me it was too soon to inject them and to just wait and see?? To me I would think getting them early would be better? I'm upset that I swapped moles for these large red-raised scars... the one below is on my chest.
I had to remove 5 moles from my back in June (1 on left scapula) and August (4 on the right side, but got 2 of them removed together) last year and seems I've got a hypertrophic scarring. They aren't raised, itchy or swollen at all. I was looking online and I'm thinking to cover up that left scapula scar (I would leave those 3 on the right as it is) with some tattoo design (I've made digital mockup how I imagined it). Is 1 year enough to put a tattoo on it? Are there any risks? Thanks in adv.
Hi there, I have a 5 scars from mole excision on my back. They are about 1.5-2.5cm long and 0.2-0.5 wide. It's 1 month post operation and seems that they are hypertrophic. They are reddish, but not too much raised, just a little bit. However, I'm interested if it is normal that they get a little bit swollen/raised and darker (like purple color) after intense gym workout (especially when working back exercises) or it is normal? Thanks
I had a mole removed off my face which left a 2mm raised hypertrophic scar 2 years ago. To my surprise facial hair and occasionally pimples grow out the scar, when I thought hair and pimples cannot grow through scar tissue. When I dont touch the scar for a while it is white however if I rub it, it becomes slightly red. What does this mean for my scar? does it mean the skin their is still healthy and perhaps the scar still has a chance of improving more? Thanks.
I have very fair skin and have several hypertrophic scars (one which has atrophied and become permanently red after kenalog injections) as well as benign moles that I would love to get rid of but the risk of scarring always leaves me with no options. I recently heard of Nano-Pulse Stimulation and would love to know if this could be a safer and more conservative treatment for my concerns?
