Several years ago, I had Mohs surgery to remove a basal cell spot on my scalp. The spot scabs and bleeds on occasion after all this time. My hair stylist notices it, too. The PA said it is common. Is it normal for that spot to still have irritation?
I am two weeks post op after a skin graft on my nose following surgical excision of a bcc. The graft is starting to scab and I'm wondering if this is normal? The external foam that was sutured on was removed a week ago. I'm using an antibacterial cream twice a day as directed but haven't commence massage yet.
I had mohs procedure on my nose 4 weeks ago. A skin graft from my ear and it is less than 2mm. The scab is hydrated and smaller every day however it is lifting at the edge. Will the scab will eventually fall off? if yes, at what point (5/6 weeks?) would I expect scab to fall off? Do you think I should be alarmed that it is lifting at edge and contact dr?
May 6 I had MOHs surgery on my shoulder, going down two layers to get it all. Due to the location, straps, sleeve seams rub right on the wound. I'm in a cycle, the wound has filled in & it tries to scab over, I raise my arm to do anything, the scab cracks, the bra strap or sleeve seam catches & pulls off the scab, and we start all over. Dermatologist said to keep it bandaged, not to let it dry out and scab. The wound is still red, seeping, sore. How does healing occur if it doesn't scab?
