Is it true that overfilled and/or smooth implants have less risk of rippling? I am choosing between Mentor siltex round and have been looking into smooth round xtra, are both of these max filled implants? And how big is the risk of getting cancer from textured implants/ how big is the risk of getting capsular contracture from smooth implants?
Is it true that if I have very little own tissue/fat in my breast a wider implant can reduce the risk of rippling? My width is 11.5cm and my surgeron (who's had other not satisfied patients due to too narrow implants) suggested 9.9 or 10cm width. I think it looked waaay to narrow when I tried them on. Goverment paid surgery I can't swich surgeron and am worried. I wanted 11.1 or 11.3cm he said they would be too wide? I don't want them to be wide apart
I went to 2 different doctors for consultation and was recommended Mentor by one, and Motiva by the other. I preferred the Mentor modplus implants as they felt softer but was told by the other surgeon that Mentor implants tend to ripple more as it is too soft, so he recommended Motiva round full profile. Another question I have is, what is the main difference between Mentor modplus and Motiva full profile?
I have decided on mentor saline style 1600 with ~340-350 cc under the muscle. I am 5'5.5, 121 pounds, currently wear a 34 A/B, and have a BWD of 13 . I want to avoid rippling but also make sure that I choose an appropriately sized implant based on my BWD in order to have a natural looking outcome and to avoid a large gap between my breasts.
I just went for my three month check up and I told my doctor that I feel my implant. Initially in December 2013 I had 300cc mentor moderate plus silicone underneath the muscle. I'm very happy with they way they look but 2 weeks ago I noticed I could feel like rippling the side and the implant at the bottom of my left breasT only. why am I experiencing this feeling? Will this go Away? I'm 5'4 118 and 34d right now. I went to my gp and he said it feels fine. No pain.
I got a breast aug 10 weeks ago. 425 and 450 moderate plus over the muscle. I was told that the right breast socket was a smaller which is why they did one bigger. I also went over muscle because he said I was set far apart. Now I have bad rippling in the breast with the smaller socket/bigger implant. I also Have some stretch marks in that breast. Both breast still dont have much feeling especially the nipples. Is there a chance this could go away when it settles? The doc told me..
I have read that you're less likely to experience rippling with silicone implants than saline, especially with the memory gel implants. I'm wondering if they are rippling or if it's possible that the pocket is too small and causing it to ripple. The rippling can be felt more than seen.
Planning on Silicon Breast Implants placed over the muscle around 485cc to correct slight sagging from breastfeeding two children. I'm currently a small 34C or full 34B, 130lbs, 5'5. My question is I was interested in the Sentra Gummy Bears. Would the New Gummy Bears look better, hold better shape and less rippling if placed above the muscle vs say the Mentor implant? Thank you.
Im 3 week PO I had silicone 475/500 high profile mentor implants. Ive noticed the past week that I can really feel my implant on the Right breast (my 475) when i bend over and touch the side or the bottom I can really feel and see ripples and if i poke it it rolls around. Both of my breast feel totally different as far as my left feels normal and not painful and my right has been a lot more sore and painful during the recovery. When i flex it distortes so I know it still under the muscle.
I got my breast augmentation when I was 18 (2008). At that time I weighed about 95 lbs. I event reached 100 lbs at a point. I went from a AA to a full B/ small C (350 cc). I've lost some weight in the past couple months and now weigh 86.5 lbs. I'm experiencing some breast pain and rippling the past couple months. Is this due to the significant weight loss? They've also started to feel harder. I've never has an issue until now.
