I got my first laser hair removal treatment under my chin and upper neck and the next day my chin and under my chin was severely swollen to the point where I could not look down and I was itching really bad. The nurses think I was having a severe allergic reaction to the histamine used. They prescribed some pills abs I have been taking them for 3 days but the swelling is slowly going away. Is this normal and how long will it take for the swelling to completely go away?
I already had 3 laser sessions. I had my 4th session 4 days ago on my face and this time it was done on a big laser machine. I had a burn on right side of my cheek. It was swollen and red for 2 days and now it has settle down but i have a big mark left on my face. I am applying ice packs, aloe vera gel and Polysporin on the mark but i am scared that how long its gonna take for it to fade away and is it normal to have a burn like this?
Hello, I had my 3rd laser hair removal 6 days ago on my upper lip and full brazilian area. I noticed that it was more painful than usual and swollen when I got home so I put some ointment and the technician put some cortizone. 2 days after my treatment , my belly bottom area, entire bikini area, upper lip and the sides turned black and I see some scar, also in the inner buttcheeks. I have been putting cocoa butter, ointment and a discoloration cream. What should I do? Pictures are attached!
What is this reaction called? Is this follicular edema? Or burns? Its very swollen red and extremely itchy. Hot to the touch. The only thing that helps is steroid cream. I dont want to keep using it
Its itchy & am told its getting darker in the area (told by laser place its normal to get darker) and its a bit swollen and I think pinker as well? Its around the whole inside lips area (my lips cover everything) and then toward the anus area my area between there also my anus was treated with laser removal? Thanks for your help.
Had laser hair removal on upper lip on wed. Red n swollen. Especially lips.Applied ice n hydrocortisone. Thur - same. Face became more swollen traveling around from lops to cheeks.Fri- woke up w blisters- told to apply hydrocortisone. Took a Benadryl. Sat- more blisters . This is on area where she didnt zap as have white hairs. I now am applying neosporin. First The spa said I had an allergy. Then the spa said I'm breaking out in pimples. I don't know whether to apply cold or heat oil's or Cortizone
Please help. My face has Brocken out in severe acne and worse so I can't keep my hands away from it. It's swollen hurts and is getting deeply infected and scared. I am afraid I'm Slipping into depression. This week was very hard. Please help!
I had lasor hair removal done on my full bikini exactly two weeks ago, on the fourth day after treatement my right labia had swollen to double in size and was very warm and sensitive, it felt more like a burn than a boil, but within 24 hours it had gone down, now 2 days ago I started to notice the shredding of my hair and yesterday my labia has swollen in the same place again and is still swollen today (24 hours later) what could this be? Will it go down on its own?
