I am currently up to my 9th laser hair removal treatment and I am having some concerns. My treatments were going really well and I noticed a large reduction in my hair but throughout the last two sessions I have noticed that my hair is growing back thicker and darker again. Is this normal? I have very fair skin and dark hair which I have been advised is the best type for laser.
This was my fourth session but first time getting these negative results. Should I continue sessions but with a better provider or discontinue and treat the darkening skin? Or both? What treatments should I get? How likely am I to be able to fully and permanently recover the skin to its original color?
My 3rd laser hair removal session was extra painful and was itchy and burning for several days afterwards, which hadn't ever happened before. My skin in that area (Brazilian) is now much darker. What is it (is it PIH?) and how do I restore the color back to its original state?
Had a laser hair treatment on my Brazilian area. I have a large black tattoo around my thigh. On the way home, a portion of the tattoo felt hot. I called the service provider who advised me to ice the area. I did and the next day it blistered. The blister popped and now the area is much darker. It feels itchy and sore. I'm not sure what to do. the provider has admitted the laser must have touched the tattoo but seems surprised. Should the tattoo have been covered? Will i have permanent damage?
I have done 3 session of laser haor removal for bikini. My skin coulor is not black neither blond (from middle east).I am afraid of two thing: 1- did laser make me lose the sensation in this area ( not stimulated properly during intercourse) 2- I feel that labia minora and the inner part of my vagina got darker and may be turned black!! I am very dissappointed and afraid that it will last forever.what can I do?
I have been having this done since 2003 and this was like my 20th plus treatment so I am not new to this procedure. The treatment felt more intense than usual but didn't think much about it until I saw the esthetician's reaction. She told me to apply alor vera gel which I have never been told before. When I saw my face I was horrified. I have tried aloe vera, hydrocortisone, Mederma. Nothing works and the scar is getting darker over time. It now looks like melasma. Please help me! Whay can I do?
I have noticed that my labia is much darker than it used to be and I'm considering to have a laser whitening treatment but I also would like to have my pubic hair remove first. I'm from latin-america and have tanned skin. My question is whether it is safe to have both treatments and if I may get in fact even darker skin for having laser twice.
I had a laser treatment to both of my armpit..but my left one was burn, and the doctor gave me some l.c.e balm.. i want to know whether it will go back to normal or not?will i have scar or darkening to my armpit?and how long do i need to get back to my normal skin color
I have hyperpigmentation on my underarms and bikini area and I've started getting hair removal. I was thinking to use something that would help lighten the area, like alpha arbutin or maybe retinol. Is it safe to use between appointments or would it make my skin sensitive to light or even burn the area/darken it even more? Am I supposed to wait to finish all my laser hair removal sessions and when I am finally free of hair, then I can use it? Cause that seems like a lot of time to wait.
She is white, my side, black dads side. Since she's been 11 we have noticed it becoming more darker. We tried electrolysis first, 6 sessions no difference. I then switched to laser, after 6-7 treatments and having her shave and apply a meladine spray for 2 weeks, still very noticeable. Better but, still there.i don't know what else to do! I feel so bad for her. Being 13 with this is very difficult for her. Please help!
