I have a 13 year old daughter that has hair above her lip (mustache). Any suggestions?

She is white, my side, black dads side. Since she's been 11 we have noticed it becoming more darker. We tried electrolysis first, 6 sessions no difference. I then switched to laser, after 6-7 treatments and having her shave and apply a meladine spray for 2 weeks, still very noticeable. Better but, still there.i don't know what else to do! I feel so bad for her. Being 13 with this is very difficult for her. Please help!

As long as there is no reaction from the laser hair removal such as crusting or redness, it is safe to tattoo the area.  You will not be able to have laser hair removal over the tattoo later, so make sure you are happy with the hair removal.

Check with your physician or laser center first. 8 weeks should be a prudent time. Be also cautious of the UV light exposure of tanning beds as it will damage and age your skin faster than normal sun exposure. Consider the risks of skin cancer and melanoma too.Hope this helps,Dr. Gus Diaz
