I am not asking about the immediate post period of 4-6 weeks when you are not allowed to tan but more the long term ability. As of now I am not able to tan my face because I have so much redness there (probably small capillaries due to old sun damage). I am super sensitive and react with alot more redness when exposed to sun. If I am able to get rid of the redness with multiple IPL treatments will I be able to tan later on? Risk my melanocytes be damaged?
I'm in the process of getting IPL hair removal on my bikini area. I'm wondering if it's ok to go to the beach (with a bikini) since part of the bikini area of the skin might be exposed to the suns rays. Also, how would the same situation relate to a tanning bed? (Just for curiosity)
My wedding is in late October and i have just strated IPL hair removal, in 2 weeks i will have my second one.. when is the best time to have the last session especially that i am planning to go tanning (solarium or sun) to get a slight brown skin. Thank you for your time
I just had IPL today on my face (approx 2 hrs ago) and there is coffee-ground spots and just other dark freckles everywhere! I am 26 years old, and did used to do a bit of sunbaking in my teens. I did not have many freckled on my face to start with though, but now my face is swamped! I did think this was meant to be a 'minimal downtime' procedure but there is now way i'll be going anywhere for a while. Is the immediate dramatic increase in pigment a good sign or bad one?
