I recently had a tumeric latte (trays removed) then following brushed, flossed and used mouth wash before replacing my trays. When I took them out again, they were very clearly yellow. Tried brushing and using the special cleaning crystals but they are still yellow. Lesson learned and luckily its only a few days until my next set, but now Im concerned because it seems like they are turning my all my actual teeth yellow. More obviously on my attachments.
I started Invisalign 15 weeks ago and believe it has torn down my enamel. My teeth are stained as well and they have a clear hue towards the bottom - my dentist said it is my enamel starting to wear down. One doctor said this was common due to my bite being corrected. Is there anything I can do to reverse this? Can I still whiten my teeth?
I have been told that drinking liquids other than water with the aligners in can cause staining of the trays and can lead to cavities. What if I take my aligners out to drink a cup of coffee, then brush my teeth and rinse with mouthwash immediately afterwards - will that be sufficient enough to avoid staining the aligners? Does this apply for any food or drinks, that as long as I brush and floss after eating or drinking I won't have to worry about staining the aligners?
I am 6 months into Invisalign. I'm very careful about cleaning my teeth and aligners. However the teeth with the attachments glued on are definite turning yellow. The teeth with no attachments are spotless. Can anyone tell me what I can do? Can I whiten them? When the treatment is over will whitening remove the yellow?
I just got invisalign a few days ago with attachments on my canines and molars. Lucky I do not have attachments on the four front teeth. I asked for the whitest compound my dentist had as my teeth are really white to begin with. I was doing really well with keeping me teeth white but I had Indian curry last night (without my invisalign) but my attachments stained yellow REALLY bad. I'm embarrassed to smile because its such a huge contrast to my other white teeth. What other foods should I avoid?
So just over a month ago I had a checkup and a clean and I had 3 cavitys which are all fixed. I've been doing Invisalign for 2 weeks now so I'm constantly bushing my teeth and flossing 3 times a day and I noticed this orange spot in the crease of my back teeth (not sure if old or new). I'm freaking out because I just spent $1000 on cavitys a month ago and now this! It's not painful or anything at all and I'm hoping not decay. What does it look like to you?
Is there anything at all that can be done at this point? This looks awful. My teeth aren't that crooked. I was told there would be a few attachments on the sides. I'm also getting sores in my mouth from the aligned trays. The sharpness of these attachments makes it painful to eat. I was told they would be on for the duration of the treatment. I also whiten my teeth often. What can be done to keep the attachments white as I've been reading they stain easily? Are there clear ones available?
I just got invisalign and I was wondering if I could eat ice cream and possibly yogurt with them on. And I have also seen many answers said to not drinking coloured drinks, am I still able to drink milk since it is white? Also one last question. I was wondering if I can still drink tea not on a daily basis but maybe like once a week without taking my trays out? These are all questions as if I were doing them with my trays on. Please tell me if I can and If I do, do I still need to take them out?
