I have a pretty deep overbite and Im wondering how my face would change if I got Invisalign. My face became pretty flat after I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth out 2 years ago. I think I have a pretty decent side profile and have always been fond of my jaw line, but Im noticing I have a weak chin and my sister said my jawline looks like a crescent moon (lol) I am attached to my features. How would my face change if I got Invisalign? There isnt many cases on deep bites Im finding.
I am currently on week 23 of Invisalign trays, and I got them hoping to relieve some a TMJ jaw pains and headaches, but also to fix my bite and my facial structure. I dont think the Invisalign has made a difference in my weak jaw and chin, and if so its much less of a change than I was hoping for. I was wondering what would be the best solution to get a more even, defined jawline.
I had braces for 6 years (I know) and stopped wearing my retainer. So, my teeth relapsed... and badly. 7 years later, I noticed my jawline and lower face shape has changed dramatically, even from 2-4 years ago. I am beginning Invisalign treatment soon, and am wondering whether realigning my teeth and fixing my bite will help my face shape go back to the way it was. (Reference: I used to have a pretty defined jawline, but now it seems like my lower jaw is slightly swollen.)
I have quite wide jaw line, and I hate it. However, my jaw is slimmer than before because I extracted my 4 wisdom teeth. I did not notice the change, but my friend and family told me. My teeth are not bad. I have pretty straight teeth, but my bottom teeth are bit crooked. Also,I have crowded teeth with long front teeth, and my teeth are quite large. I'm thinking about getting invisalign though I've heard the rumor before, and I don't want my face to become wider.
I started Invisalign treatment 2 weeks ago. Is it possible for my jaw line to become narrow in this short time? My ortho staff did ITERO pics, and told me to go back in 4 weeks for the trays. Have not seen my Ortho since the initial consult visit. I have a small narrow mouth (deep palate) and crowed teeth. Will my smile become narrow to make space for my teeth? My ortho is a away for the next two weeks and I am so worried that my jaw line is becoming narrow to accommodate my teeth.
Hello! I'm 19 years old and have three problems; 1 - my upper teeth are quite crowded, 2 - the arch of my upper teeth is shaped in like a ''v'' rather than a ''u'', 3 - my jaw is quite small. I don't have any real problems with my lower teeth, though. Would Invisalign work for me and how long would it take in my case to see the final results? Could I still do the Invisalign therapy since my wisdom teeth have just started growing? Thank you :)
I started Invisalign at 21 and it ruined my face. My mouth looks sunken in, my face has lost its fullness, and my jawline is no longer distinct. I look gaunt and old. My dentist convinced me to get Invisalign to align my bite which she said was causing me to grind and clench my teeth at night. She said it would be an easy fix and that the problem was on the back right side of my teeth. She didn't explain that my entire smile and face would be changed. I can't live like this. Help.
