My nose , under my eyes and cheeks look like a chipmunk. Is there anything over the counter or by script that will reduce this faster ? I called my physician Tuesday and sent a picture they said it was fine. I was prepared for the redness ,flaking etc but no the swelling that is making me not want to leave my home. Thanks in advance !
I'm on day 7 post Fraxel Dual for my eyes. I don't know what settings were used but it was my first session and I had it done for fine lines. Recovery has been fine; I swelled but I didn't really peel. I didn't get any of the weird texture changes that people seem to talk about on this site. So all in all I am back to normal. However, my under eye lines almost look worse and I seem to have a slight purplish tint under my eyes that wasn't so strong before. Is this normal? Is it likely to go away?
I had fraxel laser treatment on Tuesday it is not Thursday and Im still so swollen it doesnt look like me. Tuesday was minor swelling Wednesday was horrible my eyes were almost swollen shut. And today Thursday I am still very swollen my cheeks and around my mouth. I am regretting this
Today is day 3 after my Fraxel treatment. The doctor used a level 9 only on my cheek areas and a 5-6 on the rest( she did my entire face and neck areas) as I was very able to tolerate the pain. I look like Alvin the chipmunk. When do you think I should start to see and feel the swelling come down? I see my doctor, who is wonderful, 1 week post op. I am VERY OPTIMISTIC about this as I have suffered from acne and it's scars for so many years I can not remeber my life before them.
I had Fraxel Re:Store on Friday around 11am so it's alittle over two days now & my skin feels like sandpaper :( I'm still a bit swollen & red. I'm only flaking around my mouth & I have two very tiny pimples <-- really tiny! Oh and there are like tiny brown dots all over (It looks like i have dirt on my face) Is this normal? When will it start to get better? I have to work Tuesday morning & I'm scared to put make-up on even though thery tell you it's ok! Is physicians formula a good make-up?
I had Fraxel on Monday & had abnormal facial swelling that seems to be getting worse, not better, despite icing & 2 RX (Cephalexin 500mg & MethyIPREDNISolone tabs 4mg), which I saw rated yesterday because I sent a selfie to my doctor & they were concerned enough to want to put me on these meds. I was informed swelling lasts 24-48 hours, but I'm mostly concerned that it's heading in the wrong direction (more, not l as swelling). Should I be concerned &/or add/edit my post-op regimen?
I am 48 years old with good clear skin. I am african american and was wondering if this will cause dark circles and will I have a lot of swelling under the eyes and if so will I have the same side effects for each treatment 6 weeks apart. also can the doctor use a low setting so that I will have less down time.
4th day post Fraxel, 4th session. I've been speaking to my doctor about going closer to the eye since I had pigmentation patches around the eye area, so she pulled the skin gently and did it. Now my eyes are extremely puffy, as is my face, as never before. I took anti-inflamatory pills and at my doctor's advice anti-histaminic pills. I've tried cold gel patches around the eye, camomille infusions, rinsed with cold water several times per day... Nothing works, not even the pills. I'm very worried.
