Q: Radiesse or Juvederm for chin augmentation?
Answered by Kimberly RolleyMay 2, 2019

A: Thank you for your question! Both Radiesse and Juvederm have their benefits; and although these fillers have different compositions and consistencies, they can actually be used together to give great results. When treating the chin we often use them in combination. We place Radiesse deep, on top of the bone since it is a firmer, stronger filler. We then layer Juvederm Voluma more superficially to help push the skin outwards for further projection.

I've included a video that reviews using multiple fillers in one area, I hope you find this helpful in your research!

Q: Can Radiesse Be Used in the Same Area Where Juvederm Voluma Was Injected 9 Months Ago?
Answered by Kimberly RolleyMay 2, 2019

A: Thanks for your question! It is safe to have both Radiesse and Juvederm injected into the same area. Each of these fillers has their benefits, and although these fillers have different compositions and consistencies, they can be used together to give great results. In fact, we often use this combination when treating the chin and jawline!

Q: Which Fillers Are Okay to Mix and Which Are Not?
Answered by Kimberly RolleyMay 2, 2019

A: Great question! Yes, it is safe to use more than one filler in an area, and here at our office we often do. Fillers vary in their consistency, which means some are best suited for certain areas or for certain depths. However, there are times when a combination of fillers gives the best results.
