Is it ever possible to do wrestling or boxing if you have done otoplasty? I know that after a year or so the ears will completely heal when that happens is it possible to wrestle or box. Or after 5 years for example is possible to wrestle or box.
I had an ear pinning otoplasty when I was in the 6th grade, I stopped boxing because of it but I am now a freshman in College and I am in the best shape of my life. I would like to start boxing again but there was also a problem with the surgery, as i had a medium case of keloids which required a second minor surgery. There is nothing I want more than to box again what do you guys recommend?
What is the worst that can happen? I know ears can be knocked out of place and cause hematomas but what is different from someone who hasn't had otoplasty C's someone who has had otoplasty? Is there more complications?
I had an otoplasty surgery 14 months ago. Now, i want to start boxing. It's possible with my training and learning how to box, i will start to be punched after 5-6 months forthcoming period. Can it be a problem for my ears to be punched ? If it's a problem, Can I fix this problem with wearing boxing head guard or the damage can still hit the ears with this head guard ?
After Otoplasty and having at least 8 months rest, I was wondering if I will be risking undoing the procedure if I go back to my sport of choice, boxing. I know this sport poses a threat to untouched ears initially but with the similair risks of untouched and post-procedure ears aside, is there any more risks that I should know about/ be careful of? Can this sport undo the procedure or only give me the same risks I already had pre-surgery? Thanks for the time and hope this can be understood.
Hi I had otoplasty (ear correction) done 10 days ago. I am wondering how long tilland if i would be able to do MMA or boxing sparring. Not real fights, just sparring, so maybe the odd light impact to ear and folding of the ear when doing ground work. It wont be high impact, just minor. Will this be ok? How long tilli cansagely do this without risk of damaging, reversing the procedure? Many thanks.
