I went to about 10 consults and Renuance Surgery Center was the final one. Dr Filip was soft spoken, easy to talk to, answered all my questions and questions I didn't even think I had. Very thorough and confident in what was best for me and my body type! The whole staff made me feel good about what I was doing, made me very comfortable and reassured me several times that everything will be fine and I will absolutely love my results! Well they couldn't be more right! I'm on my 3rd day postop and Its been the very best recovery process!!! I would recommend Renuance and Dr Filip 100 times over! Absolutely NO regrets!! Updated on 8 Apr 2019: I feel so good! I expected the absolute worst and am experiencing what might be best recovery ever! Other than my back hurting A LOT, the surgery itself has minimal pain!! Down to like 1 pain killer in am. And did I mention NO DRAINS NEEDED AT ALL?? This is day 5 after shower. Which I was able to take first shower day after surgery.
I’m 24 years old, 2 kids and ready to get my boobs back in shape! Back story: 5’3, 120 lbs, currently 32c that holds everything together.. goal is perky 32D I started my research a year ago And went to 5 doctors total.. yes, 5! The first two doctors I saw was near my home. I figured it would be an easy drive home but turn out one doctor was NOT board certified and the other was plain mean. He wanted me to go 450cc and wait 6 months to see if I needed a lift. He dismissed how I didn’t want big implants let alone two surgeries so that was a no-go. Both doctors cost was $9,500.Doctor #3 was my dream doctor Beverly Hills, I found her on instagram and I knew she was he doctor for me(very meticulous and patient). Her consult was $500 and I paid it. She said I needed a full lift and around 330 cc round HP under the muscle. But at the end of the consult, the cost came out to $27,000. So... no...Fourth doctor was from Beverly Hills as well. He recommended the same as doctor#3 but the cost was $13,000. At first I liked him but then watching his videos/photos on Instagram for a couple months while saving up the money, his lifts didn’t seem symmetric. It was always off. I wanted a doctor who cares about symmetry and truly understands the look I’m going for.I was recommended by a friend to the final doctor consult which was in murrieta,ca (2 hour drive). I knew about him for awhile but didn’t want to drive if I didn’t have to. I went to see Dr. Filips and during his consult he suggest 340cc gummy bear memory shape implants, over the muscle with a lollipop incision. This threw me off completely initially due to the other four doctors recommended the round under the muscle thy is commonly used everywhere. But after doing the research and the answers he shared of his reasoning, it all made sense! He understood my goals and made his recommendations off of it instead of doing what was common. I’m so excited to move forward with him and get my pre-baby bikini body back!Surgery is scheduled for tomorrow morning! Will keep you updated! Updated on 3 Apr 2019: On surgery day the doctor d staff were absolutely amazing! I can’t believe to tell you how calming they were especially since I felt I was going to have an anxiety attack. The doctor let me ask all the questions while marking me up and went over every step to make me feel reassured. 345cc gummy bear memory shape, over the muscle, lollipop, and removal of some tissue on the left side to make it even. I slept most of the day and thank goodness my husband was there to help me take my meds and help me get out of the bed to use the restroom a million times and walk around for circulation. I have no bleeding that I’m aware of really swollen, and I just feel like a bowling ball is glued to my chest! As long as I take my pain meds, I just have discomfort and little pain. Today I will be having my post op appointment before headed home. I will update photos later today! Updated on 4 Apr 2019: I am completely vulnerable about where I’m at “look” wise in the photos. I’m very very swollen, and taking norcos during the day and a muscle relaxer at night to help with sleep. I’m very happy with my nipped placement with how evenness and symmetry which was my biggest concern!! I have mostly pain on the sides of my boobs and feel tightness where he incisions are from the lift. They really swollen but look forward to seeing how they look at my one week appointment next friday! Doctor recommended I rest for a week and not lift anything heavier than a coffee cup. I’m so thankful for my mother, MIL and husband who have been so supportive in helping me with my meds, and taking care of my babies. I plan on trying to take Tylenol tomorrow instead of norco because I haven’t pooped since surgery day...(that’s going to be fun) and will take my first shower tonight. I am able to put my hair in a bun and but definitely cannot lift, push or pull anything... even my fridge or car door. I will post again either on my 1 week post op or if anything changes. I’m an open book, message/comment anytime ?? I’d love to hear our stories too! Updated on 15 Apr 2019: As I hit my two week post op, I feel like I can go back to my regular routine as of 2 days ago. I honestly can say that I can do my routine but get very tired easily so it’s very difficult to run to multiple stores with. 4 nd 2 year old. I notice I don’t feel good being out and about more than a couple hours at a time. I can lift my son (25-ish lb) when needed but I try to avoid as much as possible and don’t lift anything more. I’m not on norcos but sometimes take a muscle relaxer on my more rough days or feel like I can’t sleep on my side. I started sleeping on my side these last couple nights but I have been tucking pillows in between my boobs for support. I had my post op appointment at the 9 day mark. I’m healing great, no infection or problems. I love how my tape is still on because I have seen people have broke open their incision and takes forever to heal. The doctor said my right side is dropping faster that my left which is completely normal. I think it’s because he remove tissue from my left which causes more swelling as well as I’m left handed. I’m trying to be mindful of what I do daily to help heal my left side faster, but again, I researched and it’s totally normal for one boob to drop faster. He also approved me to go buy wired padded bras to help shape my boobs as they heal. He said don’t buy a lot because my size will go down over the next couple months so I bought two. I am currently a Victoria’s Secret 32DD. I also started applying stretch mark cream to help the skin be moist and not cause any stretch marks. My skin still feels ultra sensitive to touch but I’m able to squeeze them without feeling pain, just soreness.
After many consultations, I went with Dr Fillip out of Murrietta and boy am I glad I did. I am one day post op and and very satisfied with my results so far. I am very swollen and soar but that is to be expected. I went with 450cc silicone implants and had 100cc of natural tissue removed. I was a large B cup Updated on 16 Jun 2016: Updated on 17 Jun 2016: After many consultations, I went with Dr Fillip out of Murrietta and boy am I glad I did. Went out and about today but tried not to over do it. I could not get through this with out my amazing boyfriend taking care of me. So happy with my results so far. Dr wants me to keep the take on for several weeks and to keep wearing the sports bra. Updated on 18 Jun 2016: There is light at the end of the tunnel. The pain is so much more substainable. My boobs itch but I'm assuming that means the incesions are healing. Couldn't be happier. Updated on 20 Jun 2016: I found this photo and wanted to share so you could see how bad off I was. I still can't believe the difference. Updated on 21 Jun 2016: The lines on my inner boobs are from sleeping in a sports bra. The really sexy ones the dr gives you lol! Still sore but making progress. Back at work but not back to normal. I went to the grocery store last night and it's the small things you take for granted. Like trying to load a case of water in and out of your cart. I have an SUV and had no problem opening my back hatch as it pops open on a spring. Closing it was a whole entire issue. I sat there stumped and then had to go in and have one of the naggers help me haha. I live along so I ran into the same problem once I got one. Well that's one way to meet new neighbors. Lol. Still happy with my results. I have a follow up with the doc on Thursday, can't wait. Updated on 30 Jun 2016: I'm 15 days post op and still in pain. Am I the only one, I feel like I should feel back to normal. The incesions hurt especially when sitting/standing all day. I have tried to take it easy as much as possible but as a single working parent that's not all that easy. I also don't have a whole lot of energy. Can anyone tell me if this is normal? Love my results. Wish I could take my tape off but my doc said he wil take it off at my next appointment in a few weeks. Updated on 11 Jul 2016: I'm still waiting to get my tape off. Tick tock. I have an appointment on Wednesday. Can't wait to see the results with the tape off. Updated on 14 Jul 2016: Just had my tape removed. I finally got to see my complete results and am so happy. Scares aren't that dark but I bought some scar cream just incase. So pleased with my results. Worth every penny and ounce of pain! Updated on 25 Jul 2016: Updated on 26 Jul 2016: I would say he nailed it, especially considering what I was working with before. The other doctors at the consultations I went to me there was no chance to get these results as this girl was much more petite and younger than me. Updated on 4 Oct 2016:
Hi guys!! I had surgery this past tues on my abs and flanks area. So far my worst pain has been on day one. I have bruising but not as much as I thought I would. So far I'm happy with my results! As of Day 3 I'm just a little concerned with the lumpiness but I'm wearing my garmet like the doctor told me. Updated on 3 Jul 2013: Hi! I wanted to update my first week. I've been hurting a little bit. I've kept my garmet on the whole time except to shower. I'm thrilled with my results so far. I'm a little lumpy on the hips but you can't see it because of my bathing suit. Updated on 3 Jul 2013: Here are more pics.
Headed in next week to replace ruptured current: 420cc saline round implants, they are 11 years old. Replacing with silicone 425cc round, moderate plus implants including a lift at same time. Right breast has capsular contracture. My stats: 41 5'5" 155lbs I was initially very nervous as this ruptured out of no where. After meeting with 3 other surgeons in the area I made my final decision on Dr. Filip. Updated on 13 Mar 2019: The first 6months -1year the scars were very red and a bit swollen. I really didn’t think that this would of been so bad and I wasn’t expecting such large scars. I took some getin use to and has subsided over time. My results now are as expected and I am happy. This was my 4th breast Augmentation so my expectations were realistic. I chose the right doctor for me. Updated on 25 Jan 2021: I went in to see Dr. Filip to express my disappointment with my previous lift he did 5 year ago. The scars are awful and my breasts still sag (after the lift). But I felt he did not listen to me, nor take accountability for work he did. His showed no concern to my disappointment. Sadly I will be seeing another surgeon for a revision and another $15k I have to spend. We have so many prions with great plastic surgeons here days. DO YOUR RESEARCH- I do no recommend Dr. Filip
I am so excited! I have already scheduled my surgery date! This is something that I have wanted since junior high! I have researched breast augmentations for years now and I have gone to a few different surgeons for consults. And I finally settled on Doctor Zachary Filip in Temecula Ca to do my surgery. Before I went in I had some idea of what I wanted, but I was open to other ideas. I knew that I wanted to have a full D cup from the B cup that I have now. I actually think that I am in between an A and a B cup...as some of the A bras do not fit and most of the B cup bras are too big....I have always needed a pouch up bra. I knew that I wanted the silicone implants. And when I went in I thought that I wanted an areola incision, but after hearing that it is harder to get the silicone implant through the areola, and there is more of a risk of bacteria going through the breast tissue, I have decided to go with the(I call it) under boob incision. I am really unsure about the size right now! I am bouncing between a 425cc and 450cc. One of my biggest fears is that I will wake up and they will be too small! We will be deciding on the size at my pre-op appointment on December 1st. I need to remind myself that they won't look absolutely perfect right out of surgery. I am not too concerned about the pain or anything as I think I have a high tolerance of pain. Another concern of mine is that I only have three weeks off, one of which I had to ask off of work. I work for a school district and we get two weeks off for winter break. I am a school bus driver and I am constantly moving my arms for the pre-trip and for the driving. I drive in the hills and have 9 turn arounds in a 40 foot bus... so the concern I have, is that in three weeks I will still be sore to drive the bus, or I will feel fine then drive, and feel horrible that night...I talked to my surgeon and he said that most of his patients return to full activity at three weeks. But I am still concerned with returning to work after my surgery. I have three weeks to heal...Other than that I am not worried about much! I will post another update after my pre-op appointment. Updated on 25 Dec 2015: I am so happy with my surgeon! I am so glad that I went with him! The day of surgery he came in and was very casual, and made sure that all my questions were answered. I didn't feel like he rushed in did what he had to do then rushed out. I had another surgery a while back and it felt like he rushed in and rushed out and was only in a rush to get patients in and out. Not with Dr. Filip. He made sure everything was measured right and marked right. His staff was very kind and let me know what was going on every step of the way. When I woke up the nurse was sitting right next to me reassuring me that everything was ok and that the surgery went well. Also giving me another blanket as I was shivering beyond control. Dr. Filip came in and even checked on me before I left, to make sure I was ok, which the other surgeon I had never did. Every appointment he has been kind and taken his time, not rushed me in or out. He has never made me feel like I am asking a stupid question. I was really embarrassed at my one week post-op appointment because I was still really bloated, and looked hideous! But he never made me feel bad or anything. I am very comfortable with him and am VERY happy that I chose him! More updates coming as I progress along. Updated on 28 Dec 2015: Tomorrow I am two weeks post-op....kind of nervous, as I only have this week left before I return to work as a bus driver. But I am still doing much better. I am definitely happy with my new size. I only wish I went a little tiny bit bigger, but I still am really happy with my results and the way they look so far. Also I thought that this was going to be a little easier to handle, all the healing and stuff. I had no bruising, my left breast is dropping slower thank my right, though the right is more painful. I am still a little sore, in doing things, I tried driving today, just my truck around town. I drove my husband to get a haircut, and after that he drove. I definitely cant move quick yet as far as turning the steering wheel. My muscles feel sore, not too much pain now, just when I over do it, at night at bedtime I definitely feel it. I have lumps in my underarm that are probably swollen lymph nodes...which I e-mailed my surgeon about, and its normal. Just the body trying to heal itself after the surgery. Also the tape is falling off my incisions, which I also e-mailed the doctor about and he said if they fall off before the three week mark(which is when he said that I can peel them off) its fine. I am still bloated and emotional, I am really hoping my stomach looks better when I go back to the surgeon....as I feel HUGE when I went for my one week appointment....though I have lost almost ten pounds in these last two weeks from eating less from being in pain. I am going MUCH better day by day. I am still VERY much HAPPY with my surgeon. He is kind and caring, with a great attitude. He e-mailed me back personally to answer my questions. :) More pictures soon! :) Updated on 30 Dec 2015: Yesterday was two weeks post op. I am feeling much better and have much more movement in my arms. Very happy with the way they look even though they're not settled yet. I can feel them dropping though. It feels different in the way the weight is situated on my chest. My surgeon says everything looks fine and the lumps in my arm-pit can be from two different things. They can either be swollen lymph nodes, from my body trying to heal itself from surgery or tight muscles from not moving my arms much when I was a few days post-op. I finally got a sports bra today. I got an under armor sports bra from Sports Chalet. I have never bought a large bra before, when I got home and got it on it was very comfy, and easier than I thought to get it on even though it was not one you open from the front. Very excited to have something else to wear other than the bra given to me on surgery day! Especially when I head back to work and will need more support. :) Feeling better today. Last night I have some of the booby blues. I felt very selfish and like a bad wife and mom because I did this for myself. I am definitely tired of sleeping propped up, and I am tired of not being able to pick up my daughter. But the wonderful ladies on the forum helped me be reminding me that this is only a few weeks out of the rest of my life where I will feel like this and it won't be like this forever. I am so happy to have the support of this community and also from my husband, husbands mom, my daughter, and my surgeon and his office. Things will get better! :) Definitely looking forward to river season! :) Updated on 6 Jan 2016: I am three weeks post-op(three weeks yesterday). And I have been back to bus driving for three days now. I have some burning pain in my right breast. Its not unbearable but it is annoying. The left does not get that. My surgeon continues to be freaking awesome, I love it! I feel my bras fitting different, most likely because they're dropping finally. Still wearing un-sexy bras because I need the support while driving the buses(bumps, mountains, turn-arounds and such). My breasts are very sensitive. The skin is sensitive to touch. And under my nipple is numb still. The right one is dropping faster than the left, and as a result my nipple is kind of looking like its in a funky place, hopefully it will fix though when the other one drops. But all in all I'd say I am healing pretty good and I am still really happy with my results. Cant wait to see the finished product, sleep on my side, and not be sore any more! And not to mention go bra shopping.
Hello,Saline implants certainly cause more rippling than any type of silicone implant. Make sure you explore all of your options though when it comes to silicone implants. To talk simply about "saline versus silicone" implants misses a huge part of the conversation you should be having with your surgeon. Today we're talking about smooth round, textured, tear drop, cohesive gel, reactive gel... You should at least know all of the options and their advantages. And make sure you get the implants that are truly best for you - you'll probably be living with them for a decade or more!I'm sure you've also aware, the FDA has only approved saline breast implants for breast augmentation in women 22 years and older. With that said, many surgeons do not agree with that recommendation or believe there is a scientific basis for it and will place silicone breast implants in women under the age of 22.
Hello kado2,It depends on how many years the implants were in place and how large they were, but yes, you may be able to see evidence of prior implants on a chest x-ray. Over time the pressure of the implants create a small depression in the ribs. It is very apparent when removing implants during surgery. It wouldn't be "obvious" on a routine x-ray but it could be noticeable to any good radiologist.Zachary Filip, MD
