Loved Dr. Strinden and his team. I feel like a totally different person because of my breast lift! Saggy breasts after a dramatic weight loss are the worst, but Dr. Strinden and his team helped transform my breasts! I plan on going back to him for a breast augmentation after I finish graduate school. I can’t imagine going to anyone else.
I am small chested and after breast feeding both of my children I lost a lot of the firmness to my breast. I had an augmentation done 12/16/16 by Dr William Strinden with 450cc mentor memorygel smooth round moderate plus. They are of course still riding high but so far I love them. Can't wait to see how they look once they've settled. Updated on 19 Dec 2016: Here is a picture prior to surgery. I am 5'6 120lbs. I was a 32B. Updated on 19 Dec 2016: Updated on 19 Dec 2016: Chest still feels really tight Updated on 19 Dec 2016: Updated on 19 Dec 2016: I feel like they are looking great. They still have to settle some. But, I think they look amazing so far. I'm very happy with them
I'm 25yrs old. 5'7"1/2. The day of surgery I weighed in at 197lbs. I have an 8 yr old and 7 yr old twins. All Girls :) (My pride and joy). I'm doing this to gain back the confidence that my ex husband robbed from me. The psychological abuse in combination with having my children 16 months apart destroyed not only my body but my preception on myself. But This is MY season of RESTORATION. It was pain..strain..and cramp free! I take Milk of Magnesia twice a day. Once in the morning and once at night. I haven't used my walker in 2 days and I had my left drain removed yesterday. My right drain I compress every 6 hours and empty every 12 and I record the output. It painless. I cried some yesterday I think from a combination of exhaustion and all the medications. I'm currently taking Diazepam (for spasms) Cephalexin ( Antibiotic) Hydrocodone-Acetaminophen (Pain). Overall I'm healing great! Each day gets better and better :) Updated on 26 Feb 2016: Updated on 1 Mar 2016: I had my drains removed and the stich's around my belly button. I go back on 3/8/16 to get the ones in my lower abdomen out. Here are a few comparison photos. I've had a chunky chin since my late 20s. My weight has varied - I lose everywhere but that stubborn chin! the last time I could see my jawline was when I went on a 750 calorie a day diet and did 2 hrs heavy cardio 7 days a week. Totally unrealistic. I opted for just the chin lipo figuring in 6-7 years I will probably want a face lift as well. Dr. Strinden is a dream and his staff are wonderful. I had NO PAIN and no nausea (which I have had in the past from anesthesia). Didn't even need Tylenol! It has only been 24 hours, and I have kept the compression garment on the whole time except to change drainage which I only had to do once. There's still quite a bit of swelling but it ALREADY looks amazing! The big fat pillows under my chin are just... GONE, just gone! Will update soon! :) So happy. I'm standing in front of the mirror now looking and thinking... what else needs fixin'? Updated on 22 Nov 2015: It's been five months, I really should take new pictures... but in the meantime here are "before" and "after" pictures. The "before" was taken in March 2015, the "after" in July - exactly one month after the chin lipo.
I am in the process of trying to get it approved through my insurance. I applied last June and got my approval in October but found I was pregnant so I could not get it done by the approval date. I reapplied last month after the birth of my son and I got a letter today saying I'm approved but they only give me six weeks to get it done from the date of the letter. Also I am confused because it stated in the first approval that I was approved for 19318 REDUCTION MAMMAPLATY 2 Times and the new letter states 1 Time. It aslo stated Total Services Covered 2 on the expired letter and new one states Total Services Covered 1. Does this mean they are only going to cover for one breast to be reduced? What has been your expirence?Updated on 30 Sep 2012:Sorry ladies I haven't been on my computer in awhile and finally figured out how to do this on my phone. I had my surgery on Sept 11th. I chose the wrong hospital though. There was an accident during surgery. My PS accidentally sliced the top of my breast while removing tissue. He was working with a guy in the OR he had never worked with before and when he asked him to retract the skin he put pressure instead causing the slice. Then when they were taking off the operating table I woke up in pain screaming cause they left the catheter attached to the OR table. The nurse that was in charge that night came in and removed the IV hook-up but didn't cap off my IV. Thank God my mom was staying with me. I got up to go to the bathroom and she saw the blood coming out of my IV. I was bleeding all over the place. The PS came in at 6:30 the next morning to change my dressings and discharge me. The morning nurse came in and stated she would be discharging me in an hour and gave me my last bag of antibiotic. I called the nurses station a few minutes later cause it burned so bad. She came back and said it was intravenous and would come back in a few minutes to remove it. 3 hours passed and still no nurse. I pressed the call button and asked them to come remove the IV. Twenty minutes later some one pokes in and asked what I needed I told her and she walked out. At 12:30 my husband grabs a student nurse in the hall and tells he needs bandage cause he's taking out my IV. The student comes back and does it. My hand is so swollen I can't bend any of my fingers. My husband told them they had 20 minutes to discharge me or we were walking out. The nurse finally came back.Updated on 2 Oct 2012:Last night I was checking the slice and felt a lump running from it to the top of my nipple. Is this normal? I tried researching online freaking out and found all different kinds of answers to what it might be. I'm hoping it's just scar tissue. I really wish the PS would have given me some paperwork that told you what you could expect and what you should do in different cases.Updated on 3 Oct 2012:So I went to see the PS today about the lump and he said it was just scar tissue and nothing to worry about. That was such good news! I have to say everything with my actual breast reduction is doing so wonderfully well. I showered by myself 5 days after surgery, and had most of my energy back on day 6. My PS did not put any restrictions on me. He advised if it hurts or feels uncomfortable don't do it but if you feel ok then your should be ok. I was able to pick up my son on day 8. My son is 4 months old. I could hold him against my breast though until around two weeks. They were a little tender this week but towards the end I can now hold him like nothing happened. I did make a mistake last week when the nurse told me I could now use neosporin if I wanted to. I used what I had at home. I didn't know that some have pain reliever in it!! Oh my did my breast feel on fire!! I wanted to rip my clothes off and stick them in a bucket of ice! I even went back to see PS and asked him if this was normal. He said in all the BR's he'd done he had never heard of the breast feeling on fire. It wasn't until the next day that I figured out the problem. I felt like any idiot for not knowing. So those of you that have not had it done...word of caution don't use it with pain reliever in it!
I had a tummy tuck due to excessive loose skin that hung over my pubic area and stretch marks. I had only one pregnancy, but gained a lot of weight and acquired excessive stretch marks. I hated the way every pair of panties ended up under the roll of skin above my pubic area. The surgical experience was great. It was done in the physician's office which made it easy to keep your privacy intact. Updated on 31 Jan 2011: 10 days post op and still have one drain in place, hopefully will get it out tomorrow. Stitches are supposed to come out Wednesday. My physician and his nurse are so great; they are so encouraging. Updated on 15 Feb 2011: Updated on 15 Feb 2011: New after photos posted today. I am at week 3.
5 days post-op and am so happy I found the courage to do this for me! For years I have had loose skin, stretch marks and a hysterectomy scar. Updated on 28 Jan 2011: Before and 1 week post-op pics. Happy! Happy! Happy! Updated on 31 Jan 2011: Tummy Tuck stitches coming out in 2 days! Nervous! Should I be?? Updated on 2 Feb 2011: 12 days post-op and happy! Stitches come out today. I wore my jeans for a few hours yesterday and no "hang-over"! Now, if i can just get the lipo tenderness & bruises to get better... Updated on 11 Feb 2011: New pictures at week 3 after tummy tuck! Updated on 4 Mar 2011: Whew...6 weeks today! Updated pics soon to come. Updated on 9 Mar 2011: Six weeks post-op tummy tuck. No regrets! Updated on 10 Mar 2011: I decided to take some pics in the morning when things are less swollen just to see if I could see a difference. Let me know what you ladies think? I'm not liking how my belly button is looking...so I stuffed some rolled up gauze inside it today hoping I can stretch it. It's looking all closed up.
I applied for a breast reduction around December 2017 and Dr Strinden was the provider suggested by my caseworker. I am extremely pleased with him so far as well as his office staff. I received the call on Tuesday 8/28 that my surgery will take place on Tuesday 9/4/18 and I am super excited! I was a size 42F in 5th grade- Yes, 5TH!- and have gotten much bigger since then. The last bra that fit well was a 46K and now I'm spilling out of it so its safe to say that I am bigger than that now. I have 3 children and my breasts are extremely large and heavy and have quite a bit of sag as well. My PS has informed me that due to the size of my breasts, he will be doing the free nipple graft technique, which I am totally fine with. I have been exploring this site for months and there just isn't much info out there regarding the FNG procedure, so I decided to document my own journey in hopes that I can help someone else with similar questions/concerns. I have been informed by my PS that with FNG, there is some risk of loss of pigmentation in the nipple/areola, especially in women of color. Honestly, this is my biggest concern with the procedure. If I do have hypo-pigmentation, it won't be the end of the world as long as I don't have nipple loss-which apparently is a slight risk as well. I'm not as concerned about nipple sensitivity, because frankly, when they're this big there's not a whole lot of erotic sensitivity anyway. But anywho, I'll include a few before pics and I'll try to keep you guys posted as I complete my journey to join the itty bitty [RS bleep] committee lol! My goal size is about a DD but hopefully no bigger than a DDD as I do still want to be proportionate and I'm a healthy woman. I am currently wearing 2 and sometimes 3 bras at a time for support so to be honest, anything smaller than I am now will be a blessing to me! I just want to get rid of the constant neck, back, and shoulder pain and grooves! I added a few BEFORE photos but they don't really do any justice as far as showing my size because as I said before, I have on 2 or 3 bras in those pics Updated on 4 Sep 2018: I haven’t slept a wink but today is the day! I’m nervous but ready! I’m headed to the hospital now and I’m pre registered so hopefully things will move pretty quickly. I’m not sure how long the surgery will take either but ignant I get a chance to update after I ask, I’ll let you guys know. I am having the free nipple graft technique. I’ll update as soon as I can! Updated on 4 Sep 2018: So my PS said surgery went well. I feel so tiny! Haven’t been able to see them of course but they feel really really small! I’ll have my dressings changed tomorrow morning and drains removed after 48 hours. He doesn’t know the weight removed but says the scale only goes up to 10 lbs in the OR and more than that was removed FROM EACH SIDE! Geesh! I knew they were heavy but man! I’m in a bit of pain as my meds wear off and for some reason I can’t feel my fingers on my left hand but hopefully that will return by morning. I’m admitted for overnight observation so I should get to go home tomorrow. Will update again soon Updated on 6 Sep 2018: Got my drains removed today and let me tell ya, it was like INSTANT relief! I was hurting pretty bad this morning almost to the point that I regretted having surgery. Still have some pain but not nearly as much. I can’t feel my nipples at all which was expected with the FNG. Got to see them for the first time and they are surprisingly perky Updated on 7 Sep 2018: Well ladies... it’s 3 days after my breast reduction with free nipple graft and I can’t lie-it’s rough! I’m extremely sore and my incisions burn like crazy! I’m ok for the most part if I’m still and resting but when I get up for the bathroom I want to cry. Also, my elbows are EXTREMELY sore and I still don’t have complete feeling back in my fingers. I feel like I fell asleep with both arms hanging off the side of the bed and anytime I move my arms it’s terribly sore. On a positive note, I do feel better today than yesterday but still pretty rough overall. I’m also very bloated and gassy which makes me that much more uncomfortable. Attaching the only photos I can get right now. I’ll update again on Sunday when my bolsters are removed from my nipples unless something changes before then. Oh also worth noting- I have no feeling or pain anywhere except the incision sites. No nipple feeling whatsoever Updated on 10 Sep 2018: Hello ladies! Well, I met my surgeon’s nurse at the office yesterday and she removed the bolsters from my nipples. It wasn’t very painful, just s few punches and a little bit of burning. Another problem I haven’t mentioned before is that I haven’t had a BM since before surgery which makes a week today. I’ve been taking a cheap OTC stool softener and yesterday my surgeon told me to get Milk of Magnesia. Took the max dose last night and nothing so I took another dose this morning and still nothing yet. The bloating and gassiness is the source of a lot of my discomfort. I can feel my fingers on my left hand again, although they are still kinda tingly like when your hand first “wakes up”. I am extremely satisfied with my new boobies! I thought they would be waaayyy too small at first but now that the bandages have come off, they’re just fine. My PS reduced the size of my areola and also constructed me a nipple out of skin that will stay erect which I thought was a really nice touch. I don’t get my stitches out until the 17th, and I did have some drainage last night/this morning that cause me to have to tape gauze to cover where my drains came from as it is still a little bit open. So moral of the story, I’m not nearly 100% yet but I am better each day. Baby steps! Pics included of my new boobage ! Updated on 19 Sep 2018: I had my stitches removed yesterday-I was supposed to go on the 17th but for some reason I had mentally convinced myself that my appointment was on Tuesday instead of Monday smh. Anywhoooo...stitches removed and it hurt. A lot. Not for very long, but it hurt. Everything looks good per my nurse but there is still a open spot on my left side where the drain was and I’m still having some drainage. Let me tell you about that... Last week, I woke up to my nightgown soaked under my left breast with a yellowish-reddish liquid. I called my PS and he had me send him a photo of the drainage and then asked me to come in when he saw it. *Insert panic emoji* I went in, he took a look, decided that there was no infection, and sent me on my way telling me to keep gauze on for drainage. I’ll include a pic but view at your own risk. Also, I’m am still restricted from going back to work-even a sedentary job- until Monday which will be one day shy of 3 weeks. I expected to only be off a week but since my surgery was so extensive, that didn’t go to plan. I still am not able to lift more than 5 lbs either. My areolas have a couple of spots that are trying to peel, but that’s expected, especially being that I have darker skin. I don’t have much pain anymore, just a little bit of soreness. All in all, I’m happy with my results! Updated on 29 Sep 2018: Well...my areolas are peeling. I was warned and research told me that this would likely happen with me having darker skin, but that doesn’t make me feel any better. Including photos. The very dark spots are what’s left of scabbing. Also, I have NO feeling in my areolas or nipples at all
