I've had a chunky chin since my late 20s. My weight has varied - I lose everywhere but that stubborn chin! the last time I could see my jawline was when I went on a 750 calorie a day diet and did 2 hrs heavy cardio 7 days a week. Totally unrealistic.
I opted for just the chin lipo figuring in 6-7 years I will probably want a face lift as well. Dr. Strinden is a dream and his staff are wonderful. I had NO PAIN and no nausea (which I have had in the past from anesthesia). Didn't even need Tylenol!
It has only been 24 hours, and I have kept the compression garment on the whole time except to change drainage which I only had to do once. There's still quite a bit of swelling but it ALREADY looks amazing! The big fat pillows under my chin are just... GONE, just gone!
Will update soon! :) So happy. I'm standing in front of the mirror now looking and thinking... what else needs fixin'?

Can you please post more pics? I have a very old 'fat pad' under my chin meaning it's been there through skinny and heavy times and just got worse with the years and as gravity has pulled it down lower. You can see my double chin from the front and side equally. The rest of my face looks fairly young for my age (I'm 51) except for some slight jowling. My questions to you is...did he suck out along the jaw or chin line as well as under the chin and how long did it take? In your after pic you don't look swollen anywhere at all - is that immediately after surgery or? Also, I have a very delicate neck with disk issues. I notice with chin lipo they often recline the patient very far back to the point that the feet are a little higher than the head and then insert the cannula from incisions below both ears and just beneath the chin - was this the case with you? Thanks for any information you can help me with!

He went in with two tiny incisions under my ears and one directly under my chin. I cannot even find them now. I had a little swelling after the picture was taken, but not much. And no pain at all. I was knocked out for the surgery so I am not sure if I was moved at all but I was parallel to the floor when I was brought into surgery and woke up that way. I can't say enough how easy it was.

It's been five months, I really should take new pictures... but in the meantime here are "before" and "after" pictures. The "before" was taken in March 2015, the "after" in July - exactly one month after the chin lipo.
Your results so far are amazing! Definitely keep us posted on how the rest of your healing goes. Are you still wearing the compression garment?
Totally normal and to be expected. I like to call it swell hell ;)
