I had an amazing experience at Marble Plastic Surgery! I previously had strong and solid mono-lids and I wanted double eyelid surgery but I didn’t know where to go. However, I had a group of friends who all got their double eyelid surgery done and out of them, the two best results were from the same clinic, Marble. So I got my surgery done here as well, and it turned out exactly the way I wanted. I had minimal bruising and swelling compared to my friends who got it done at other places. It looks so natural and good that people tell me I got prettier but don’t know exactly what it is that changed. Most importantly, the staffs were so sweet and the whole process was PAINLESS!! This is the results that I wanted and Dr Suh definitely exceeded my expectations! 10/10 Recommend!
Hello! I'm writing to share my full experience at Marble Plastic Surgery with Dr Suh. I got a consultation at Marble done bc of the solid work I had seen online. Me: 40 yo female with time restraints from work. My eyelids were drooping and made me look sleepy, and it was affecting my confidence. Looking for a non-incisional eyelid surgery. Here's a breakdown of my entire process. Mine is a little wild since I decided to get the surgery done the same day. Marble is located next to the metro and in a small entrance on the right side of a Five Guys. Front desk: This is the only part that makes me wanna laugh. Yes, it's so true that across the industry, the women working at these clinics are unpleasant. Translator: SO AMAZING!!!! I had Miss Chang, who is absolutely incredible. She has found the perfect balance of kind, welcoming, professional, and helpful. My mom and aunt also did consultations here and absolutely loved her. Consultation: You're brought into a consultation room where you discuss what you would like done, then a doctor will come in and chat with you. Dr Suh took two toothpicks and traced an outline of what a non-incisional outcome would be, and I liked how he was conservative in his work and had no problem telling people "no" if he thought something was a bad idea. After Doc left, we discussed a price, and we started the process. (Through WhatsApp the clinic previously told me to fast if I was interested in a same-day process.) Miss Chang walked me through each step, first to change into stretchy surgery clothes and remove jewelry, then to wash any makeup off my face. On the surgical table I was informed that I'd be under anesthesia. Felt quite nervous, but you just trail off into the abyss from the anesthesia. I was conscious the entire time but in another world. As the anesthesia wore off, I could hear the nurse and Dr Suh talking. I could also feel the stitches being pulled through my eyelid like a curtain, but none of it hurt at all. Towards the very end, you're asked to open and close your eyes. After surgery you'll move from the operating table to a little resting room with an ice pack for my eyes. I stayed in the resting room and slept for an extra hour. When I woke up, I felt woozy but otherwise perfectly fine and could walk around with no issue that day and the coming days, even though I looked like a ridiculous puff ball walking around town. I'm pleased with the entire experience, and my aunt will be coming back to get her upper and lower bleph done by Dr Suh this fall.
I’m now just over a month post-op and genuinely love my natural-looking double eyelid results. This was my second time getting non-incisional DES. I had it done 7 years ago, but the fold sagged over time from natural aging, so I suppose this counts as a revision. From consultation to surgery, everything with Marble was seamless and efficient. My consultation was on a Saturday, and they offered me several surgery dates, including one just two days later. It made the whole process feel flexible and easy. My appointment with Dr. Suh was very reassuring. I asked about ptosis correction (as another clinic had suggested), but Dr. Suh explained in detail why I didn’t need it based on my anatomy. He managed my expectations clearly and genuinely listened (which was not something I experienced at every clinic in Korea...) There was no ego from Dr. Suh at all and I felt like I could really trust him. The English interpreter was great. She was fluent, helpful, and responsive throughout. She answered every question I had leading up to surgery and stayed by my side from the moment I went under to when I woke up. Overall, I felt surprisingly calm going into surgery, thanks to the staff. The procedure itself was mostly painless. I only felt a bit of tugging and maybe one or two sharp pokes towards the end, but it was very tolerable. Most of my swelling went down within a week. That was a big difference compared to my first DES, where I stayed puffy for over a month. My results settled in fast and look super natural. I've already been recommending Marble to friends who also want des. I know how overwhelming it can be to research clinics and surgeons, so if you’re also thinking about getting your eyes done, I hope this review gives you some peace of mind. :)
I want to share my experience, as reading other people's experiences gave me the courage to go through the surgery. I have been considering double eyelid surgery for many many years. I started my research last year by reading reviews and looking at before-and-after pictures on the Unni app. I saved the picture I liked and added the clinics to my list. After viewing the saved pictures, I decided on 1mm and Marble, as I liked their natural double eyelids. I contacted them in December via WhatsApp to discuss details and prices and to schedule an appointment for a consultation and surgery. I chose Marble because they were very responsive to my questions, and checking the date and time I wanted was easier. After checking the availability of the date I wanted, I made the appointment and paid a 10% deposit for the surgery. I met with my English consultant on the surgery day and discussed what I wanted. She was helpful and answered my questions while I waited for the doctor. I told Dr Suh Yong Hoon I wanted my eyes to look natural and semi-outline. I also showed him the style of the double eyelid line I desired. He recommended incisional double eye surgery with ptosis correction. Dr Suh was kind and patient while he listened to my concerns, explained the entire process in detail, and showed me the desired line many times with toothpicks. The consultant took me to the surgery room, and the nurses got me prepared for the surgery. He redrew the line before he started the surgery and kept me calm by conversing during the surgery when I woke up from anaesthesia. I felt some tugging and stitching and opened and closed my eyes when asked, and the pain level was 1. After the surgery, my eyes felt heavy, and my eyesight was blurry, but I didn't feel any pain. I took a nap and went out for dinner on the day of the surgery. I used the eye mask they provided for 7 days, ice for 3 days, and warm for 4 days in the morning and evening. The nurse removed the stitches after 7 days, and Dr Suh checked my eyelids and said everything looked good and that my eyelids were healing well. It has been a month since my surgery, and I am very happy with the results. I would highly recommend the clinic and Dr Suh. The pictures are before, on the day of the surgery, 4th day, 7th day, and one month.
DR Suh is very professional and proactively provided me suggestions to prevent the future problems! I had trichiasis problem and my left eye muscle is weaker than the right one. Dr Suh tried his best to fix that for me. I chose Marble because the entire communion is comfortable and smooth.
I found Marble through extensive research across a few platforms. I have to say it was a great experience! The translator, Heekyung, was super patient throughout the entire process. From the beginning with first online consult, to all the questions in between, the day of surgery, all the way til to the end when I had my stitches removed. For my eyelid surgery, I got incisional, Ptosis correction, upper blephoraplasty and upper epicanthoplasty. He was very considerate, patient and understanding during the physical consultation. He explained the entire process and what he believed best suited myself while also ensuring that hed achieve the look I wanted. He explained as my eyes are quite uneven, it’ll never be perfectly symmetrical and I appreciated the heads up for it since that was a concern of mine. I have to say he has done amazing and I’m super happy with the result. I still have a few months before my swelling completely subsides but it’s been great seeing the swelling come down every week and I’m excited for the final result My friends all say that my eyes look so much more brighter and open which I’m super happy to hear! I completely recommend Marble from my own experience
I did Sub-brow lift and Undereye Fat Repositioning with Dr. Suh, he was very patient, very professional, he took his time listening my questions/needs carefully, that made me feel safe to do surgery with him. They have in-house translator and my one was Ms. Heekyung, she was very nice and good at her job until i didn’t need to bring my own. The doctor didn’t force me to do or suggest any unnecessary surgery without me asking, his suggestions were more to natural-looks which I was seeking for. If you want dramatic changes, I believe they can do it as well. I had the same day surgery, it took around 2 hrs for both surgery, I had local anaesthesia and sedation, sub-brow lift was already done when I woke up, under-eye surgery got a lot of pullings and some pain but bearable, recovery time was smooth and easy. Didn’t have any pain from 2nd day onwards, I could start to walk around for sight-seeing and shopping. My surgery was done on 3rd Jun and stitches were removed on 9th Jun, and had red light treatment for swelling for 15 mins. The clinic provided one microwavable ice pack, bought medicines at pharmacy downstairs of the clinic. You can see attached photos for the result. I definitely look fresher and slightly younger. But I wish I requested to cut a bit more skin for Sub-brow lift, feel still a bit excess. Or maybe this is the best for me.
Here’s my personal review of this clinic: Marble Plastic Surgery in Gangnam, Seoul, has been very helpful with answering all my questions and they have an English translator onsite so you do not have to hire one. She has been very helpful via WhatsApp and during the in-person consultation. It’s been about one month since the surgery and I consulted with Dr. Suh who is known to be meticulous with DES according to other reviews, so I decided to choose him to perform the procedure. I shared my concerns of one of my eyes being a little bit bigger than the other because of a double eyelid naturally forming and the other eye still has the inner eyelid. I originally was informed that I needed the incisional DES but upon doing the real life consultation, Dr. Suh recommended the non-incisional as I didn’t have enough droop to truly need a incisional procedure and he said that if anything, the threads can be taken out in the future and be redone if necessary. He also opened the inner corners of my eyes and didn’t recommend the outer due to my facial structure from what I recalled during the consultation. The healing process wasn’t as bad as I thought and I was able to walk and explore the whole day after the day of the procedure. Of course my vision started to blur naturally towards the end of the day with the prescribed eye ointment, but so far it has been healing with no complications. ?With my current healing progress, one of my eyelids is still slightly swollen and still healing as the clinic said it will take about 2-3 months on average. So far I do like the formation of the double eyelids and it’s been a little easier with applying makeup. My eyelashes are also more visible with the double eyelids. I’m looking forward to the next month with the healing process. Updated on 18 Jul 2025: Still healing well with no complications. One of my eyes may be a little more hooded but was advised to wait till 6 months have passed for it to settle in. Clinic has been great with addressing my concerns.
It’s been 2.5 months since I had non incisional double eyelid surgery at Marble Plastic Surgery in Seoul and I wanted to write my detailed thoughts as I relied very heavily on others' reviews during my process. I found out about Marble through a YouTuber Hana Lee who had a really natural result so I did a consultation. My surgeon Dr. Suh is the main eyelid surgeon and I felt really comfortable with him; he had a really calm, kind manner and patiently answered all of my questions without a hint of ego. I explained to him that I wanted a really natural result, and I wanted to raise the crease of my eyelids very slightly; he understood well and provided me a couple of different options. I also had a bit of mild ptosis, especially on my left eye and asked if I could do ptosis correction on both eyes - another clinic (Wink) had told me that ptosis correction was only recommended with the incisional method, but Dr. Suh said I could have the non-incisional method for ptosis correction and DES, which is why I picked him. The consultant reassured me also while I was clearly having trouble deciding that Dr. Suh was the best eyelid surgeon out there - while I know it’s obviously biased I felt better hearing that especially when she said it on her own volition. I was also afraid of booking the surgery the next day as the only slot available was the last surgery of the day and I didn’t want him to be tired during my procedure (LOL). She told me he’s very professional and detail oriented and wouldn’t even leave the room before ensuring the result is something he’s happy with. I’ve now been to multiple consultations for various procedures, and I do think it’s a positive sign when the staff are clearly confident in the surgeon’s abilities since they are not obligated to offer their personal opinions. I came back for surgery the next day - it was quick, though the sleeping anesthesia made me very loopy and see weird colors and shapes during the procedure. I found it pretty anxiety inducing so just a heads up as I wasn't really prepared for it. The surgery itself didn't hurt, but I could feel tugging on my eyelids especially towards the end. Dr. Suh asked me to open and close my eyes repeatedly to check them and I could tell he really did his best to make them perfect. Afterwards, I heard people describe the recovery as a walk in the park and while it wasn't too bad, it definitely wasn't pain-free. Especially right after the procedure I had a lot of swelling and bruising, that looked more like what people experience from incisional DES. I ended up rushing home to rest because I felt so uncomfortable afterwards. That said, the pain did go away very quickly and I only had to take the pain meds the evening of the surgery - by the next day I didn't need it. The swelling and bruising went way down after 3 weeks, though I still had quite a bit of swelling that caused the left eye to look like it had more ptosis than the right one. At my follow-up with Dr. Suh he said that they would even out as the swelling went down, but I started getting really worried. They reassured me though that if the appearance didn't improve we could discuss re-doing the crease of one eye to make them look more similar, or if I wasn't happy with the degree of ptosis correction I could consider doing the incisional method. Thankfully, despite all my worries, the eyelids did even out just like Dr. Suh predicted. I'm shocked at how much they improved in the last month - I should have listened to Dr. Suh and not stressed out as much as I did. There's a reason he's so well-known for DES after all. I recently saw some friends for the first time since the surgery and several people who didn't know I did DES commented that my eyes look beautiful and that they're 'shining', or even ask if I'm wearing special contact lenses. When I tell people I had surgery, they all comment on how natural it looks. I think the ptosis correction was well-done as well. I didn't have too much ptosis to start out with, but my eyes look more energetic and brighter, and I can barely tell a difference between the left and right eye now. I would definitely recommend Marble and Dr. Suh if you're considering DES and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to my closest friends and family members, as I trust him! I also wanted to give a shout out to Min, who is one of the English speaking consultants - she was so kind, patient, and spent extra time reassuring me during the period after the surgery when I was really worried about the outcome. She's really a gem in this industry. And lastly I really saw a lot of improvement in swelling and the appearance of ptosis in Month 2 (and I think it’ll keep de-swelling for a couple months), even though so many people say it only took them about a month to recover. So hopefully this helps reassure some anxious souls like me!
I recently had incisional double eyelid surgery with ptosis correction at Marble with Dr. Suh Yong Hoon and had a fantastic experience! I’ve had uneven eyelids all my life (partial crease on my left eye and monolid on my right) and used eyelid tape daily. I spent a lot of time researching, reading reviews, and looking through before/after photos, and eventually decided on Marble, specifically Dr. Suh Yong Hoon. I was looking for a clinic that focused on natural results, not a "factory clinic" or one that used ghost doctors. Dr. Suh’s work really stood out to me because it looked so natural, and his reviews were very positive. Online Consultation I contacted Marble via WhatsApp in February about double eyelid surgery, and they responded quickly despite the 12-hour time difference. After I shared my budget and eye photos, they recommended incisional double eyelid surgery with ptosis correction and epicanthoplasty. They also provided a quote and mentioned I was eligible for a 10% tax refund. The consultant was completely fluent in English, which made communication easy. I was very happy with my online consultation and paid a 10% deposit to pre-book my surgery for April. A few days before the surgery, my consultant reached out with my appointment time and pre-op instructions. Surgery Day On surgery day, I arrived at the clinic, filled out paperwork, and met my consultant, Hee-Kyung, who was just as sweet in-person as she was online. After discussing my desired crease shape, I changed into a gown, washed my face, and had my before photos taken. Dr. Suh then assessed my eyes, explaining that my right eye was more set back, which may affect symmetry but he would try his best to make them symmetrical. He also said that I had naturally strong epicanthic folds and advised against epicanthoplasty, which would have altered my eye proportions, and explained the small risks with incisional surgery. I appreciated his honesty as it shows that he wants the best results for his patients and omitting the epicanthoplasty made my surgery even cheaper. This was my first time getting surgery, so I was nervous but trusted Dr. Suh and the nurses. I had local anesthesia and felt no pain, just some tugging. The surgery took about two hours, and Dr. Suh checked the crease shape by asking me to open and close my eyes a few times before finishing up. Hee-Kyung confirmed the surgery went well and was surprised I felt no pain during the ptosis correction, as most people felt some pain during that process. Afterward, I rested with an ice pack on my eyes for 15 mins, changed, and received post-op instructions, including a follow-up for stitch removal in 7 days. Post-Surgery After my surgery, I picked up my meds at the pharmacy, where the pharmacist gave me detailed instructions. I had to clean the incision site with saline solution and use the provided antibiotic ointment. My eyes were really puffy, and I couldn’t open them fully for the first few days, so seeing clearly was a struggle. I couldn’t wear contact lenses for two weeks, so I stuck to wearing my glasses and a hat when I went out. The first day was rough — my eyes hurt, and I was pretty tired, so I rested at my hotel for the remainder of the day. I used cleansing wipes to avoid getting the incision site wet and had to sleep upright to help with swelling. For the first three days, I iced my eyes constantly, then switched to a heated gel mask after that. The first few days were the hardest, with swelling and bruising, but by day 4, it was already looking better. Stitch Removal On day 7, I went back to get my stitches removed, and that was probably the most painful part of the whole process. Dr. Suh was really pleased with how everything turned out and said my eyes looked really pretty. I asked him about getting lash extensions or lash lifts, and he suggested waiting at least three more weeks. He also told me my eyes would be mostly healed by 3 months, but won’t be fully healed until at least 6 months. Hee-Kyung was super sweet and said I could reach out if I had any other questions. Overall Experience I had a fantastic experience at Marble. Everyone was friendly and professional, and I absolutely love the results. My eyes are still a bit puffy and the incision lines are noticeable, but they should fade over time. It still feels surreal to think I don’t need eyelid tape anymore. I’m super confident with my new eyes, and I would definitely recommend Marble to anyone considering double eyelid surgery. I couldn’t be happier with the results! Updated on 20 Jul 2025: At this point my eyelids have become less puffy and swollen compared to right after the surgery. The incision scars were still fairly obvious, you can definitely see them when I had my eyes closed. I was still too nervous to wear any eye makeup or contact lenses as I just wanted my eyes to heal as much as it could. Every now and then I felt some stinging in my eyelids where the incision scars are,I assumed it was just my eyes healing and the nerves were still sensitive. Overall my eyes were looking more natural as time progressed. Updated on 20 Jul 2025: By 2 months the scars have faded significantly and were becoming more skin coloured. My eyelids are much less puffy compared to the first month update and were starting to look very natural. I started to wear eye makeup again at around the 1.5 months mark and it’s now so much easier to apply eyeliner and mascara. Since my eyelids are now a different shape there’s a learning curve of how much eyeliner to apply, compared to before where I had to draw a thick line for the liner to be even remotely visible. Mascara is a breeze though and my lashes look longer since they’re not being covered by my eyelids anymore compared to before. Also, none of my colleagues noticed that I had my eyelids done even when looking directly at me, which is a win since I wanted my eyelids to look very natural. I’m very please with the results so far and can’t wait to see how they look once fully healed.
