3-Month Update

WORTH IT
Here's a three-month follow-up on the procedures I had at Marble.

My eyes look pretty much the same as they did from my previous update at the one-month mark, so I think visually they have reached their final look. The big changes have been the continuous healing. I no longer feel any puffiness under my eyes, and the firm "lumpiness" I mentioned last time when pressing down below on my eyes is gone. The tenderness on my double eyelid scars is mostly gone--only a little tender on my right scar now. I mentioned last update that I was still having some vision problems, but that is resolved now. I've been using eyedrops daily as recommended by my ophthalmologist, but honestly I don't think they did anything since my eyes don't feel dry to begin with. I'll keep on using the drops until I finish the bottle.

The before/after photos don't do a good job of showing this, but the bags under my eyes are completely gone. It's more obvious when viewing from a side angle or when I smile, but I didn't think to take these types of pictures before the surgery, so there's nothing to compare to. The dark circles under my eyes seem to have mostly remained. I think some of it is due to pigmentation and some of it is that the outline of my previous bags still shows because of looser skin in the area.

1-Month Update

Here's a one-month update. It's actually been more than a month, but I took the picture at exactly one month and finally now have some time after the holidays to post an update.

My eyes look better now since the swelling has gone down some more and there is less puffiness under my eyes. The creases have softened and still look very even. There is still some tenderness on my scars and under my eyes. It feels like there's some firm "lumpiness" under my eyes when I press on the area.

I mentioned last time that my right vision was still a bit blurry. Dr. Suh recommended I see an ophthalmologist to get my eyes checked out, so I did. The ophthalmologist examined my eyes but didn't find any signs of trauma/damage, but he did note that my eye's tear film may have been disrupted, which he explained is not unusual after any type of eye surgery, and may take some time to recover. He recommended some preservative-free eye drops for me to take while my eyes continue to heal. He also actually told me my eye surgeries were very well done. He's seen many patients that had blepharoplasty with results that were not as good as mine.

ORIGINAL POST

Incisional DES, Ptosis Correction, Under-Eye Fat Repositioning

I had incisional double eyelid surgery, ptosis correction, and under-eye fat repositioning with Dr. Suh Yonghoon at Marble PS in November 2025. I had slightly droopy eyelids that made me look sleepy, and I wanted to get rid of the bags under my eyes. The online and in-person consultations went very well. Dr. Suh recommended the procedures that would address my concerns. I felt he understood what I wanted for my eyes and would be able to deliver the desired results. Heekyung, the consultant, was very helpful throughout the whole process.

I was able to book the surgery the same week following the in-person consultation. On the day of the surgery, Dr. Suh reviewed the procedures and confirmed with me the type of eyelid crease I wanted. The surgery was performed under local anesthesia, but I was sedated a couple of times for very short periods. After the surgery, I rested on a heated bed with a cold compress over my eyes in a recovery room.

After a week, I had my bandages and stitches removed and had a short de-swelling heat treatment session afterwards. There was still quite some puffiness on my lower eyelids, and the vision on my right eye was still blurry. Dr. Suh said it would take some more time for the puffiness to subside, and my vision would return to normal then. At this time, I’m very happy with how my upper eyelids have turned out. My eyes appear bigger and are no longer droopy. The creases are even and look wonderful. There’s still a bit of swelling, but I think it’s just going to look better from here on out. I will give my lower eyelids some more time to improve. It’s hard to see from the pictures, but my original bags are gone. There’s just the new puffiness in place. Hopefully it comes down in the following weeks/months.
