**DR. POULOS IS THE BEST!** He is the kindest and most skilled surgeon I have ever met. I met him about 20 years ago when I had an initial cosmetic surgery (pre-online reviews:) If I was able to write a review back then about how fantastic he is, I surely would have!I just had a different surgery in January 2021. Admittedly I was nervous, as I haven't had surgery since my last surgery with Dr. Poulos. Every Doctor and the staff member I have connected within the PSS office has been so caring, kind, and detailed with answering any questions I have had in my journey, which made the experience so wonderful. I had such an amazing connection with Melanie, Sarah, Kelly, and Renee. They took amazing care of me.I am so pleased with my results, and I know I'll be happier with every passing day as I'm still healing.
Dr. Poulos and everyone at PSS is so amazing! Honest, genuine, patient, kind - everything! I have felt respected and cared for since I very first stepped in the office. I am so grateful! I had my surgery on April 9th and have been home recovering. Updated on 16 Apr 2019: What a relief! I did not think the drains were bugging me much but out they came and WOOSH! What a relief! Bit of swelling still but I am so, so, so happy! I can feel the muscle repair and hernia are gone/fixed/tight. So grateful! My left upper thigh hurts like crazy from the swelling but that will subside soon enough. Took a pain pill and a nap on my bed for the first rime in a week! Slept 4 hours straight. OMG! i am so elated and happy about my decision. My honey is so glad the drains are gone. He doesn't do me sick or down very well so I know he's happy I am getting better. Asked how much weight I have lost so far LOL. No idea, and he said he didn't care. Silly men. Updated on 17 Apr 2019: I am the mom of three boys (17, 15, 6) and three daughters (20, 18, 13) shared with my husband. They are fiesty, healthy, opinionated and most of the time I love them all. Like many, holding those three boys in and getting them out left my body a mess: pelvic floor pulled, diastasis recti, blah, blah, blah. I never wanted to be "skinny" or anything else, I just don't want to be ashamed of my body. I am so happy I did this for me. Still a bit of swelling but oh my! A flat belly. Shut the front door! Updated on 18 Apr 2019: Yesterday I was up a lot moving abiut and found my abdomen very tired and back sore. Noticed I was swollen a bit and that was discouraging but a reminder that this is a long process and i am only 8 days post op. My left leg still is super swollen and hurts. But the good news is that my undies are not rolling down for the first time in forever! Goal achieved!! Time for a nap. Updated on 22 Apr 2019: Not joking, the pain is so real! I researched and stalked this procedure FOR YEARS but holy hit balls!! The swelling pain is real! I like to think I am on the healthy, albeit curvy side of the spectrum. I run a construction firm with my husband and have always loced being able to shut the lumber gronies up. I had two babies naturally and have a crazy tolerance for pain. This pain the last few days is crazy. 10 days post op and apparently doing too much. Tonight I feel like day 3. God bless those who I've read are running, in jeans, etc.. God bless them. But i am so not there. I know it will be good but, Ouch. To bed I go Updated on 30 May 2019: About 6/7 weeks post op and just had my incision repaired. I had one area just under my belly button that was not closing and healing. M own personal "spring"! I can now appreciate even more why the numbing meds get used. This repair hurts a bit, but it was necessary and I know it will all be worth it. It was kinda gross having to change the bandages so often. I am so lucky to be working wit Dr. P and all his staff at PSS - I just love them! So compassionate, answers all my questions and keeps me excited for the results. I will post pics soon, but if you are thinking of doing this DO IT!! The recovery is WAY harder than I had in my mind, and a little slower for me because of the open wound issue, but every single day I am glad I make the decision. I even bought a two piece bathing suit for summer for the first time in like 30 years and I am only 46!
The procedure was fast, it only took about 45 minutes. The massage of the area after the cool mini was taken off, was painful. But it did it last long at all. After It was done it not painful at all, and it felt numb for the first 48 hours. After 2-3 days I started feeling a little soreness and sensitivity under my chin with some swelling. After a week, i could visually see some bruising and minimum swelling. I’m looking forward to see the before and after results. I will also post pictures after the full results of the procedure.
From the very first phone call to Plastic Surgery Specialists I knew I had chosen the right place. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and put all of my concerns at ease. Dr Poulos is truly an artist, a highly skilled surgeon with an eye for perfection. I could not be happier with my results!
Ever since I was 20 I had to stuff my bra with silicon jellys from Bra stores. I said enough was enough . I felt liked I earned it after having a couple kids . My shape was back from kids and I thought it would enhance my appreance. So I did it! He pro of having them done was looking more porportined . The con was maybe to have one more child. But at the end this is what I wanted.
My crinkly neck was really bugging me. I have saggy necks in my family and I felt mine made me look older than my face. I was warned it wouldn't be 100% corrected and it isn't, but I'm really glad I did it. I'd say after all the swelling went down it's 60% improved and that's fine with me. Recovery took longer than I anticipated. It wasn't painful, but the swelling was noticeable for three months, not the one month like I'd hoped. This was due primarily to the tightening that was done under my eyes, I'm guessing, not so much the neck lift. I went back to work two weeks after the procedure and I wasn't fooling anyone. One month after, I felt comfortable again and I just looked like I had allergies. It's been four months now and I'm 100% back to normal. Make sure you ask questions. I made the assumption that the scars would be behind my ears, which they are, but I also have some in front. I don't think it would have changed my mind, but I realize in hind-sight that I should have asked more questions. All-in-all this was totally worth it and I picked a great team to trust my face to.
When I walked in for my consultation, the lovely ladies at the front desk were very warm and inviting. I did not have to wait long before I was brought one of the treatment rooms. When Dr. Poulos walked in, he was very friendly and professional. He explained the procedure and what to expect and I felt confident he was the doctor for me. The day of my procedure, I was treated with a lot of care by the nurses and everyone else who was present. I felt safe. The surgery went well and I was back home in no time. I only felt discomfort for the first 3 or 4 days after my procedure. It's only been one month and the incision is healing very nicely. I am so so so so pleased with my results! I definitely recommend Dr. Poulos!
I came to see Dr Poulos for a BA a few months ago, I am now one month post op and could not be any more pleased with the results. At my consult I let him know what I wanted and he listened and showed me all my options on a digital program system. His bedside manner, professionalism and personality put you at ease as soon as you sit down with him. I knew I was in good hands within 5 minutes of my consultation and knew I had chosen the right doctor. When the day of surgery came I decided I wanted him to do whatever looked best on my frame, which was prefect! (That's how much I trust him!) The front desk are all so friendly and helpful, after surgery I had lots of questions and when I called more then once everyone was so happy to answer my questions. I got a call after surgery as well from Holly checking on me which made me feel very special and a lot more comfortable during my first few days of recovery. I would highly recommend this office and Dr Poulos to anyone who wants to enhance there body in any way. I had expectations and when the day came when I took off my surgical bra I cried because they looked better then I could have ever imagined. I'll be returning for anything else I need done in the future. I just cant thank them enough!
This procedure was a long and laborious decision for me. After years of unprotected sun exposure I found myself at 63 with a neck and chin that I wanted to repair as much as possible. I also had my upper eye lids done. I had 3 finalists that I was choosing from. I live in Marin, so Greenbrae made the most sense rather than traveling to S.F., or Danville for the surgery, but that was not final reason to choose PSS - Plastic Surgery Specialists. However the final decision to go with Dr. Poulos came from the confidence both he and his team gave me. Every visit ( AND I had many for consultations over and over). Dr. Poulos and staff showed perfection on the professionalism side, clean beautiful state of the art office and surgery room, and all were always available, welcoming, and never pressuring. I cancelled my surgery 2 times prior due to hesitation and they just let me do it at my own time. I appreciated a lot the no pressure technique - it worked!. They are all wonderful, it gives me great pleasure to review them with 5 stars.. Dr. Poulos is a talented surgeon who understands the art of sculpting - face or body, and has the experience to do a job that I am completely pleased with. He listened and gave e exactly what I was looking for.
I avoided looking at myself in the mirror for a long time. Felt and looked so tired, and old! Did a lot of research on Plastic Surgeons, and chose Plastic Surgery Specialists (about 1 hrs drive away from my house). From the first time I met Dr Poulos and his team I knew I had found the right place to finally give me confidence to do something I have wanted to do for many years. I love my outcome/results. Its been 5 months now and every time I look in the mirror its like seeing myself again, only 10-15 years ago. Advice is do your research, understand and listen carefully on the pre and post of any procedure.. And listen to the Dr..in this instance Dr Poulos did know best!. I have to give a shout out to his team, from Renée in consultation, to all the ladies that I worked with through my recovery. They are a wonderful, kind caring team! Those guys made it so much easier... Updated on 24 May 2016: See pics
The cost of any liposuction procedure, at least in our practice, is dependent primarily on the time required for the procedure. The type of technology we use(SmartLipo vs Vaer vs. Standard) and we do all of them, is base on what is best for that particular patient and may be combined with other new technology such as Venus Legacy or other technolgies to enhance skin contraction
Localized area of stubborn fat on a patient with a smaller frame are usually the patients who achieve spectacular results. The decision as to how good the result will be always comes down to the quality and quantity of skin in the area where fat is to be removed. The better the pre-op skin tone, the better the subsequent skin retraction, the better the result. An experienced surgeon can determine on exam the anticipated result.
Unfortunately, previous bariatric surgery is a contraindication to placement of the Obalon balloons. As you know, with the obalon procedure 3 relatively large balloons are placed in the stomach over approximately 3 months and this procedure would not be safe or predictable after an operation which restricts the size of the stomach. Both procedures share the goal of creating a sense of satiety or fullness that allows smaller meal portions. Congratulations on the initial success of your 50 lb weight loss. Try stricter attention to your diet and exercise habits to get back on that successful path.
Our practice,Plastic Surgery Specialists, has been placing the balloons since May of this year, and we have seen great success in many patients thus far. It is a great option for our patients who are considering body contour surgery but would be better served to be at an optimal weight first. I feel assisting patients in this regard should be a part of every aesthetic practice. In the Northern California area the cost for Obalon ranges from $8-10,000 depending on incentives offered by the company or individual practices. Success is dependent on a patients willingness to continue the habits learned with balloons in place over the years after they are removed.
Tuberous or constricted breasts is a normal variation of breast development usually characterized by a less than full inferior portion of the breasts. This is sometimes called inferior pole hypoplasia. Often the distance from the nipple to the inframammary crease is less than optimal. Usually placement of an implant with some lowering of the inframammary crease will correct this problem. You also have some asymmetry of breast size that you will wish to address at surgery with differential implants. I think you can look forward to an excellent outcome if these issues are considered.
