Coming Along

WORTH IT$12,000
About 6/7 weeks post op and just had my incision repaired. I had one area just under my belly button that was not closing and healing. M own personal "spring"! I can now appreciate even more why the numbing meds get used. This repair hurts a bit, but it was necessary and I know it will all be worth it. It was kinda gross having to change the bandages so often.
I am so lucky to be working wit Dr. P and all his staff at PSS - I just love them! So compassionate, answers all my questions and keeps me excited for the results. I will post pics soon, but if you are thinking of doing this DO IT!! The recovery is WAY harder than I had in my mind, and a little slower for me because of the open wound issue, but every single day I am glad I make the decision. I even bought a two piece bathing suit for summer for the first time in like 30 years and I am only 46!

Holy shit the swelling hurts!
hyvernApril 22, 2019
Not joking, the pain is so real! I researched and stalked this procedure FOR YEARS but holy hit balls!! The swelling pain is real!
I like to think I am on the healthy, albeit curvy side of the spectrum. I run a construction firm with my husband and have always loced being able to shut the lumber gronies up. I had two babies naturally and have a crazy tolerance for pain.
This pain the last few days is crazy. 10 days post op and apparently doing too much. Tonight I feel like day 3. God bless those who I've read are running, in jeans, etc.. God bless them. But i am so not there. I know it will be good but, Ouch. To bed I go

And we swell...
hyvernApril 18, 2019
Yesterday I was up a lot moving abiut and found my abdomen very tired and back sore. Noticed I was swollen a bit and that was discouraging but a reminder that this is a long process and i am only 8 days post op. My left leg still is super swollen and hurts.
But the good news is that my undies are not rolling down for the first time in forever! Goal achieved!!
Time for a nap.

Congrats on your TT! I've noticed that there's more swelling when we're more active... more time spent on your feet (or even sitting for extended periods of time) equals more swelling. Don't get discouraged! It's a long recovery, but worth it :)
Have you talked to your doctor about the swelling in your thigh? You might want to give him a call and just discuss it with him to make sure it's not a sign of a complication.
