In two weeks today i'll be going in to have my "Hairline Lowering" or "Forehead Reduction" surgery. To say i'm excited is an understatement :)
I've never really been directly bullied about it, but I no people thought it. Friends would always say "why don't you get bangs"... we all know what they really want to say haha!
I first came across this option about 12 months ago when searching for up hair styles for people with large foreheads. As soon as I came across it, I knew this was perfect for me. Something I always wanted and didn't even realise was an option.
I'm not overly self conscious about it, depends on the situation. When going to the gym, walks, working out etc etc i'll wear it fully back in a high pony tail.... yet for work (I work in a professional business), dinners, first dates haha etc etc, I always wear my hair down, or parted with a low plait or something.
Ultimately, as strange as it sounds to people that don't have this issue, I would love to confidently shove my hair up in a pony or bun, for any occasion and confidently wear it :)
I'll keep you updated about my operation and recovery.

Bandage Removal
Harmony2008April 28, 2018
Had the bandage removed yesterday, the day after the operation.
Pain has been on and off but managed with pain relief.... definitely hasn’t been as bad as I thought it would be.
Struggled to sleep the first night, mainly because I couldn’t get comfortable and was conscious of not laying on my side.
Got a straight 8 hour sleep last night and apart from my head feeling tight, there’s very little pain today.
Happy with the progress so far, can’t wait for the stiches to come out on Friday!

All is going great! All my stitches came out 1 week after the operation and I had my 3 week check out yesterday, everything is looking good. What do you mean hairfall? :)

some people expiernce shock loss after forehead reduction or hair transplant. (i think that’s what they were referring to). :) Many people considering these procedures (including me) are afraid of that happening. Have you noticed any hair loss? Also is the scar very noticeable?

I have a large forehead too. How are you liking the results so far?
