A mommy makeover can be a transformative solution for women who have had one or more children and have found that their bodies haven’t bounced back after pregnancy and breastfeeding, despite a healthy diet and lifestyle. At my practice in Akron, Ohio, patients can combine multiple procedures to address their unique concerns.
Typically, a mommy makeover includes a breast augmentation or breast lift (often with implants) and tummy tuck, but some patients also opt for liposuction, a butt lift, arm lift, or nonsurgical facial rejuvenation treatments like dermal fillers. Often these procedures will be performed in one operation with one recovery period, but you can space them out, if you’re having multiple surgeries. During a consultation, we will talk through your primary concerns and goals, to align on the best combination of procedures to help give you back the body you once had—or even improve on it.

Abdominoplasty

When pregnancy or weight loss leave sagging abdominal skin, a tummy tuck can help create a more contoured, toned abdominal area. Also known as abdominoplasty, tummy tucks remove excess skin and fat while tightening the muscles of the abdominal wall, to create a smoother, firmer midsection.
While extremely effective, traditional tummy tucks do require one of the longest recoveries of any type of plastic surgery. Fortunately, we offer a drainless tummy tuck, to dramatically reduce a patient’s recovery time and post-op pain. This innovative method uses a new suturing technique that reduces the chance of fluid buildup following surgery, so no drains are necessary. This allows patients to move more and heal more quickly.
