Never Too Late

WORTH IT
I have been working out for years but still unable to get rid of my big belly. I guess I thought after all these years, this was as good as it was going to get. I looked at reviews and pictures online but could not find someone my age having this done. I scheduled a consultation with Dr, Pederson because he has a great reputation. He assured me that my age was not an issue as I was fit and healthy. Since then, I am positively over the moon, ecstatic with the results. This doctor delivered everything he said he would. I figured it was time someone let others know that it is never too late. Now, I have the body that fits the way I feel.

I so appreciate you posting. I am in your age group and am having a hard time finding relatable stories. I am not ready to look older than I feel! If you don’t mind sharing more I would love to know more about your recovery. I am scheduling mine this month. Excited and nervous.

The picture that I posted was 2 months post-op, so I was still a little puffy and my scar was still very visible. The scar has continued to fade but it is low enough that I am not worried about it. Now I wear short crop tops with leggings to exercise class instead of oversized
T-shirts. To be totally honest, I was sore my first 2 weeks. I had trouble getting in and out of bed at first but went to sleeping in a recliner and that helped tremendously. Getting rest helped make pain improve in leaps and bounds. I was back to work in a little over 2 and a half weeks. Feel free to ask me anything.

I added before and after pics so that you could see what a huge improvement this has made for me.

You look fantastic!! I am so happy for you! Thank you so much for the additional detail. I am expecting the first few weeks to be tough but had two c sections (over 20 years ago) so am thinking it won’t be entirely unfamiliar. I am dreading the drains but assuming the time will pass quickly...as always.

Are they putting in more than one drain? I only had one drain but I was very glad when they removed it.

He says typically two, one removed after about 4 days and then the other several days after that. I hope that part goes fast! Just scheduled my surgery for the 23rd.

Hi was supposed to have my TT at the end of March but due to Covid, I couldn't. Rescheduled for Sept 23, 2021. I am 61 and will be 62 when I have it. Have been thin and worked out my entire life, but in the last couple of years I have gotten a pouch. Nervous but excited. I will have them use Exparel. Any other suggestions.

At 60+ years old, I was afraid I was to old to be considering something like this.

You are never too old to stop caring what you look like. So glad I had this done. I could not find anybody in my age range that had done this. I looked at reviews, before and after pictures but none of them were my age. So glad I scheduled the consult. Now my outer body matches how I feel on the inside.

I'm 63 and am hoping to have the surgery in December. I've had similar thoughts. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing too. Do it. I am.

Can you share your pics? I’m 59 and I had my consult last week. I plan to do mine in early May.

Is Dr. Pederson doing your surgery also? I have a few pics posted from last year in my April 2021 post. Sorry, I did not take many pictures. I tried to, but the angle of my phone seemed to make them look blurry. So glad to see you are doing it soon. This summer you will be even more ecstatic. I wish I had done it sooner. Better late than never. I don't feel old now that I have my new figure. I am really excited that I look as good now as I did over a year ago. Good luck to all.

My tummy tuck journey

Wow, what a difference this made in the way I look, but even more so in how I feel. I am so grateful to Dr. Pederson. He was honest and very kind. Every single person that works with him was very compassionate and professional. Dr. Pedersen came in to make sure I was comfortable and understood exactly what would happen. Anesthesia was gentle and understanding and explained each step. I had Exparel during the surgery and am so glad I did. Kept me very comfortable the first few days which are usually the most difficult. I am very happy with my results and glad that I chose Dr. Pedersen. Absolutely worth it!
