My results are everything I could have imagined! I actually love my body again. Dr. Rhem, Wendy and the entire surgical staff was simply amazing. I am a mom of 2 and my breasts were very saggy, covered in stretch marks, and my nipple pointed down. Dr. Rehm was respectful and listened to what I wanted. He helped me decide what was best for me and was able to do the lift and implants at the same time. It was worth every penny! Updated on 11 Nov 2022: Scars healed up nicely! Details: 350cc Gummy bear implants under the muscle. Mom of 2, 27 years old. I would do it over again and again if I had to. Investing in yourself Is worth it and Dr. Rehm gave me my confidence back!
After getting a mini tummy tuck last year and loosing about 10 pounds, I realized I wanted my body finished. After 2 children, breast feeding and age, I had sad droopy 34B’s. I have always felt unporpotioned with my hip and thigh size. I was always small on top and curvy on the bottom. I could not be happier with my results! I ended up with 400cc implants overfilled to 425 moderate profile saline mentor. Under muscle.
I couldn't have possibly asked for a better overall experience with Dr. Rehm and his staff and am so pleased with my results at only 2 weeks post-op! I am already eagerly awaiting my augmentation with him in a few weeks!
Doctor Rehm was absolutely fantastic! He was knowledgeable and extremely positive. He was the 4th surgeon I had consulted with. He immediately addressed my worries spent a lot of time giving his opinion and listened to what I wanted.
I have researched breast augmentation for 2 years now following the birth of my son and 85 lb weight loss. My breasts are deflated and saggy to say the least. After 3 consultations I am finally scheduled to have my procedure and am so excited but very nervous!! I will be getting a full lift with implants to restore fullness. 450 cc silicone under the muscle. Updated on 8 Sep 2016: I have one week left guys! Is it normal to feel odd about you're natural breast changing forever? I've developed a weird feeling about saying goodbye haha regardless I am still very excited and cannot wait to see my new boooobs!!! Updated on 9 Sep 2016: T minus 5 days!! Talked to my nurse Alice today for a long while. She is hilarious and helped ease a lot of my anxiety! I have to remove all my body jewelry ( lip tongue and earrings) wear lose warm clothes that zip in the front, and not eat after midnight. I will go home afterwards and return the next day to see the Dr. My scheduled surgery time is 7 am Thursday morning....cannot believe this is happening! This will be the slowest week ever!! Updated on 12 Sep 2016: Omg in a couple days I finally get the boobs I wanted all my life! I'm so thrilled and nervous at the same time! Went to buy last minute items needed for post op today (sports bras that zip in the front, wedge pillow, loose fitting clothes to come home in etc) i also purchased Truskin vitamin c serum off amazon. I've heard it's absolutely amazing for scars. I'm so ready for this can't wait to post some after pics!!! Updated on 15 Sep 2016: Today was surgery day! It went so smoothly I could not ask for more! My nurses were so nice to me abs the Dr did was outstanding. Headed back tomorrow for checkup! I was so afraid I had chosen implants that were too big I have to say these are perfect for me. Home on pain meds and antibiotics. I'm so happy I decided to have this done!!! Updated on 16 Sep 2016: Seen the dr this morning to remove bandages and got to see the girls finally! I am very pleased with my results. He did use 400cc instead of 450cc we had planned. I trust his judgement but I do wonder what the end result will be when the swelling goes down. He said i could shower today although I don't believe I will only cause im still in some serious pain today and the percoset make me high as a kite...not a good combo lol have been alternating ice packs on/off for 20 mins. I do have a hematoma above my left nipple. But its expected to go away of course! So happy I made this decision and I finally have the perky boobs ive always wanted!! Updated on 17 Sep 2016: Took a shower this morning. Pics were before I got in. I put on a zip in the front bra that I had bought for post surgery and I believe it was too tight. After wearing it for about 3 hours I had severe swelling on the sides under my armpit. Iced them down after I noticed and switched back to the surgical bra I came home in. It's better now. I will be keeping the surgical bra on a few more days. Breast still feel very tight which I know is normal. I have been on a serious vitamin regimen to help heal hopefully it's working. I'm taking zinc, vitamin c and L-lysine in addition to my antibiotics and pain meds. Also once a day I drink a super foods powder mix that has all my nutrients ....seeing how I'm hardly awake long enough to eat lol percoset kicks my butt haha Updated on 22 Sep 2016: This process has been surprisingly manageable! Pain meds are gone but I can honestly say they haven't been needed much. Still took them babies round the clock though lol i feel like I am healing fast and i am very very pleased with my size and shape!!! I got the green light to use a stationary bike for exercise! Been doin that for 2 days...makes me feel better after all the layin around! I have noticed a tiny lil back pain but I don't know if that's from sleeping position or having bigger boobs? Time will tell. I'm still madly in love with my new girls!!! Updated on 2 Oct 2016: I could not be more pleased!!! I love my new boobs so much! My incisions are healing very quickly! I feel like my doctor did a wonderful job so all the credit goes to him. I do think my vitamin regimen after surgery helped! Get those vitamins ladies!!! lol soreness nearly gone entirely, only if i stretch too far or over do it on activity i can still feel a lil strain...normal im sure! Still wearing tape for about 2 more weeks! Next checkup is oct 17th. Hopefully by then i will be all sealed up! Updated on 13 Nov 2016: I am 8 weeks post op. Incisions completely sealed and healed. All my stitches have dissolved also. All swelling has subsided and i am very pleased with my new boobs! Sometimes i fear i didnt go big enough but they are very proportionate!
So a little about me... Im 30 yrs old and im 5'8" and currently weigh 200lbs. I have had 3 c-sec and my gallbladder removed. My youngest is just 7 months old so needless to say my belly looks terrible! I have wanted plastic surgery since I was a teenager and noticed my breasts were really odd shaped and just didn't look right. My husband and I decided after our 3rd son we were done having babies, so to make myself feel a little better knowing I will never get the little girl I always wanted, I decided to try and get back my pre mommy body! In December of 2012 I went for my consultation with highly recommended PS that my friend had used. My goals were to have a TT and BA. After speaking with my PS he advised me that I needed a lift as well and that he didn't want to do the BA the same time he does my TT, apparently I have too much that needs to be lifted and pulled down at the same time so it would be a hard surgery. I decided to go ahead with the lift and BA first so it would give me a few extra months to try and loose more weight. I am now 8 weeks po and fairly happy with my BA compared to the way they looked before. I wish they were a little bigger and a little more round but definitely a big improvement. At my last checkup my doc told me that my right breast is sagging some so when I go in for my TT he is going to lift it up and sew up the pocket it fell in, this made me feel much better that he's going to fix it for me! So now I wait, I am scheduled to do my TT for April 11th 2013. I have another appointment in March to discuss a little more about what to expect and have him examine my abdomen a little more. I then need to bring up the embarrassing point that I think I will need my mons pubis either lipoed and or lifted. It has been large since I was 12 (and not overweight) and gets bigger with each pregnancy. Im hoping this doesnt cost me too much more than what im already paying! :-/

Tomorrow Sept 25, 2012 I will say goodbye to to my big boobs. I have wanted a breast reduction since middle school when at 8th grade I was already in a full D cup. Now at almost 40, 3 kids, weight gain and now weight loss, I am a saggy 36 f/g, 38 DDD, probably bigger. I am tired of not have bras that fit properly and having half of my boobs falling out or halfway under my arms. I happened to come across this site out of curiosity to see if my insurance would cover the procedure ( tricare ). I was pleasantly surprised that there were a few people here that were approved :-) So I made an appointment with a plastic surgeon and had a consult Aug 20, 2012. I was told was a good candidate for the procedure and the surgeon stated he would like to take 550 from the left and 650 from the right, leaving me with a full C / D cup. I was a little disappointed when he said that, truth be told would rather have had a full B or a small C. But I guess he felt that would be the best outcome without risking blood flow issues by taking out too much tissue. The more I think about it, it makes sense. Heck I wont care compared to what it is now, I would welcome it :-) I was approve form Tricare within a week and was scheduled for Sept 25. I went in for my pre-op bloodwork and a mammogram last week. I am so ready for this. So anyway, tomorrow is when the magic will happen. I am nervous, but excited to move on to the next phase, recovery. I will post again in a couple days with my experiences and new pics to! Updated on 26 Sep 2012: Well it's the morning after my surgery :-). Yesterday went pretty well. I arrived at the hospital at 7:45 am and was prepped and in surgery by 9:30. When I woke up the first thing I notice was an intense burning sensation under my breasts. The nurse was great and gave me a little painkiller via IV. I was wrapped tightly in 6 in ace bandages, even wrapped I could see a significant difference in breast size. I was told that I was to see my doctor the next day and he will remove the bandages. If the swelling wasn't too bad he would transition me to a surgically bra, otherwise I would get wrapped in a ace bandages again to help minimize the swelling. On the bright side, I will get to see the girls today and I can't wait! So anyway, I was given a prescription for a antibiotic and Percocet for pain. The nurse had me take a Percocet before I left the hospital since I live an hour from there. When I got home i didn't do a whole lot, played a video game until I was due my next Percocet, which made me totally drowsy. So I went to bed and had a nice little 3 hr nap. Some burning from the incisions under my breast otherwise not much pain yesterday. I went to bed around 9 pm and only got up once around 1 am for a pain pill. I was up this morning a 6 . The pain is more so this Morning than yesterday, but I expected it would be. Along with the burning, my entire chest is really sore, not sharp pains, more like when you overexercise and your muscles are sore. It probably felt worse because my pain killer was due. I found that holding my chest when I walk seems to make it better. My appointment with the dr is at 2:15 this afternoon. I'll update again later. Updated on 26 Sep 2012: I had my first post op appointment today. My PS took 600 grams from my left and 650 grams from my right breast. I got to see them......omg...I was like "I can't believe those are mine!". They look so small compared to what they were before, I am so happy. I had a fair amount of swelling so my doctor wrapped them back up in an ace bandage until Friday when I will graduate to a surgical bra. I have a feeling I will be staring at them all day Friday. They are so light and perky....really...the last time I had light perky breasts was...never! I will take a few pics this weekend. I hope everyone else that had surgery this week is recovering nicely! Updated on 28 Sep 2012: Here are pics 3 days post op. I am very pleased. My left breast has quite a bit of swelling but I think they will even out very nicely. The best part about today, I was able to take regular tylenol, I barely had any pain this morning :-) Updated on 3 Oct 2012: I had my 1 week post op visit today. Everything is healing nicely, bruising starting to go away, and most of my swelling is gone. They are still pretty tender especially under my arms where the incision ends but the pain is controllable with OTC pain meds. I stopped by Kohl's on my way home from my appointment.....I know I am supposed to wait to put on anything that isn't a front closure....but I couldn't help it...I want to know around what size I am now. My left breast is still swollen but the ps said my right has settled nicely and was a very good indication what the final size will be. Well with that being said I am a comfortable 36 C, my left is more a full C/small D. I am so happy I could just cry! That is a huge difference from the 36 F/G I was lugging around. What a great day! Updated on 11 Oct 2012: I'm into week 2! Woot! This week has had it's ups and downs for sure. One day there is virtually no pain, the next they are sore and tender. I am hate changing the tape. I have one nipple with very little feeling and the other is super duper duper sensitive and removing the tape makes me want to puke lol. I have had no drainage at all until this morning. Just a little under my right breast at the T. My left is still swollen but is going down. I love the way they look though ;-) I was able to take a nice little walk on my treadmill (slowly of course) this morning and it felt good together a little exercise. That has really been the only hard part for me is not exercising. I have cleaned out my drawers and bought a couple bras to last me until my new boobies settle. I'm pretty positive they are/will be 36 C's" I have not switched to a sports bra even though I can at this point. I am still in my surgical bras because they are more comfortable to me, they don't rub on my incisions and they are more supportive at this point. I will post new pics this weekend I hope. The bruising is going away nicely. Updated on 17 Oct 2012: Today was my 3 week visit. Everything looks good, even though I have a very small separation under my left breast. My Dr thinks it will be healed by next week. Good news no more tape! I am to start using mederma on all closed scars. Pain has been pretty minimal, still have swelling in my left breast and I itch like a dickens! My boobs itch so bad I haven't gotten much sleep in the last couple nights. I dont dare itch of course! it is driving me nuts. Dr said to take half of a benedryl at first then maybe a whole one if it doesn't make me too sleepy. Otherwise he thinks rubbing the scars with the cream will also help the itching. I was given the ok to wear whatever bras I want if my wound is healed next week. He said I could even wear underwires! I don't think I will do the underwire thing for at least a couple more weeks, I can't fathom wearing one so soon. My next appointment is in 5 weeks (8 weeks post op). They will be doing the office pics for my chart at that time. Updated on 24 Oct 2012: I am 4 weeks 1 day out and I am feeling pretty darn good! The girls are still tender but the discomfort is pretty minimal. I haven't taken anything at all for the last 3 days!!! I am also glad to report that I am wearing a real bra, not an underwire mind you, but a real bra in a 36C, not a huge 36G like before :-) Everything is healing up really well. The very small opening on the T under my right breast is closed and scabbed. I have no bruising anymore at all, still a bit of swelling in the left. I started using Mederma for my scars today and rubbing it into the scars. It is weird because doing this I could feel little "pops" . I guess its normal and is the sound/feeling of breaking any remaining dissolvable stitches in the scar. One thing I noticed right away when doing this....my bumpy scar smoothed out in those places! I am getting use to seeing my little girls finally. However, its funny because after the surgery I thought they were so small, now they look big to me! Overall I am super happy with my decision to have a reduction. It is hands down one of the very best decisions I have ever made. Updated on 24 Oct 2012: Oh I forgot to add, I can get on the treadmill again! I am so happy to be able to exercise again. I'm not doing anything super intense, but I can walk at a moderate pace. I started doing walking intervals today with no problem! This makes me super happy because I lost the boobs and noticed the belly ;-p Updated on 31 Oct 2012: I posted in the wrong spot lol! I am 5 weeks out. Everything is healed over and looking pretty darn good. I still have swelling in my lefty but has has gone down some. It actually has a little wiggle and jiggle finally. They are settling nicely and I am positive I am a 36C. Today is the first day that I didn't notice my boobs, I mean, there was no pain at all so far. I finally feel like I have turned the corner :-). I also wore an underwires bra today with absolutely no problem. I think it was more comfortable than a sports bra. I still don't have any sensation in my left nipple, however at my last dr appointment, he reassured me that it was normal.
I was so nervous about finding a surgeon to do my breast augmentation. I had heard good things about the plastic surgery group in Chattanooga tn. Dr Jason Rehm did my augmentation and did such a great job. I was so afraid of them being to far apart or to lo and look crazy but he made me feel so much better about everything and did an awesome job.
I’ve had a total of three surgeries with this surgeon. I ended up developing capsular contraction in one of my implants and decided I just wanted them out. Of course I wanted to use Dr. Rehm since I had used him for my previous surgeries so I made a consultation with him. I also saw three other plastic surgeons to get their opinions. After all consultations I decided to use Dr. Rehm once again until I got the price! He was going to charge me more than all of the other three surgeons who didn’t even know me. I have been his patient and he had no compassion for me and this tough decision of removing my implants. Most surgeons work with you when you have complications even the surgeons that I just met felt bad for me in my situation and offered me discounts. I’m just disappointed. He was going to charge me more to remove my implants than it cost me to put them in and that’s including the price of the implants which are expensive! Also the Chattanooga plastic surgery group as a whole needs to step up their hospitality. Now that I’ve been to other plastic surgery offices I realize what I was missing. They have all gone above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and answer all my questions. I still think Dr. Rehm is a good surgeon, but disappointed that he lacked compassion.
That much of an increase may be difficult, however that is contingent on your individual circumstances. Things such as the amount of excess skin related to ptosis, skin elasticity, and wound healing are all factors. It is not impossible, but it ultimately depends on your individual body type. Consulting with your board certified plastic surgeon will give you more insight into what is realistic for you. Good luck!
Botox, in particular, would not give you the desired result. You may achieve a more desirable result from injectable fillers which could potentially help smooth and contour irregularities. If it is the shape you are concerned with, rather than the smoothness, a genioplasty may be needed to help round the chin.
Although age and skin elasticity are taken into account, it is highly likely that you would still need some sort of mastopexy given the significant change in size in order to maintain the most appealing aesthetic outcome.
Great question! And the answer is, it depends. It depends on whether you want silicone or saline, your activity level, desired breast size, preoperative shape of the breasts and ptosis, and several other factors unique to each individual person are all taken into account. Your board certified plastic surgeon should discuss all of this prior to your procedure.
Initially, you will experience decreased sensation in the skin of the breasts and the nipple areola complex. This is the relevant in almost all cases. You may also experience occasional hypersensitivity in this area. It should take around 3 months for the sensations to return to normal, in most cases. If the hypersensitivity persists or there is a severe lack of sensation, consult with your plastic surgeon.
