Amazing Upper Blepharoplasty and Direct Brow Lift Experience

Dr. Elbert Cheng and his staff are incredibly reliable, knowledgable, and easy to work with. I had an upper blepharoplasty on both sides and a direct brow lift on one side to correct sagging eyelid skin and asymmetry. My results are absolutely incredible with minimal scarring (and it has only been 6 months!). I really believe this is the best plastic surgery team in the Bay area. I would not trust anyone else with my face!
Here is a basic run down of my experience, for your reference:
Consultation:
First meeting with Dr. Cheng. I told him my concerns about my eyelids and that I was interested in an upper blepharoplasty. I would recommend that you come to the consultation having already done your own research into what procedure(s) you are interested in, particularly cost, the recovery process, and potential complications. At every appointment from here on out, photos were taken of my face from various angles. Dr. Cheng carefully analyzed my face and offered his professional opinion on what procedures he would recommend to achieve my desired outcome. It was clear to me that Dr. Cheng is very knowledgable due to his experience and training in this field. Dr. Cheng's staff collected information about my medical history to make sure I was healthy enough for the procedure.
1 month pre-op:
This was my opportunity to ask any questions I had about my upcoming procedure and learn more about what I would need to do in the two weeks before and after surgery.
2 weeks pre-op:
This was my final appointment before the procedure. I was given specific instructions regarding the next two weeks, specifically which supplements I needed to stop leading up to the procedure and supplements/dietary changes that would aid in my recovery. I got prescriptions for antibiotics and was advised of what other products I needed to buy for aftercare. Specific aftercare instructions were given at this time.
Surgery and recovery:
Dr. Cheng confirmed with me what procedures he was doing and made the surgery markings. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I felt comfortable and well taken care of, even though I was really nervous. I was swollen after, which I expected, but I was much less swollen than other blepharoplasty patients I have seen pictures of online. I think following the recommendations in the two weeks before surgery made a major difference in my recovery. My stitches were removed 6 days after surgery. After that, I have had post-op appointments at 2 weeks, 1 month, and 3 months, and my 6th month and 1 year appointment are still upcoming.
If you are looking for a blepharoplasty or brow lift with natural looking results, I'd highly recommend coming to Cheng Plastic Surgery. After my experience here, I can't imagine going anywhere else!
