WORTH IT
I can’t say that my results are final, but so far I’m quite satisfied. I’m no longer swollen and not can eat everything, including nuts and open my mouth wide enough for burgers and apple. Btw, I left Korea after 3 weeks. It’s already 5 months after the surgery and I can’t feel happier for the result.
As for the outcome, I think I became a bit more confident. My friends noticed that I’m taking lot of pics lately, never liked to do it. But I think the most important thing for me is that I feel incredibly comfortable with my new face.

I’m 3 Months Post Op, Not Sure About the Result and Yet, Feel Great

Hey everyone, exactly 3 months ago on July 22 I got facial contouring done with few other surgeries at Banobagi. My surgeon for bone shaving was doc Oh Changhyun. I was searching quite a while before choosing him but was lucky enough to make the right decision. Everything was under general anesthesia. I wanted to proceed my operations in the morning, but unfortunately everything was booked and I didn’t want to wait few more days, so my surgery started at around 4pm and finished by almost 8pm.
Operation Day. Waking up from anesthesia was extremely difficult. A nurse kept asking to open my eyes and it was so difficult. My mind was clear enough to understand what happened and where was I. When I fully woke up from anesthesia few nurses helped me to get of from the operation table to the wheelchair and brought me to my recovery room. I was very thirsty as my last meal and drink were almost 12 hrs ago, but I was told that had to wait another 4 hrs (ugh, that was the most difficult).
Hospitalization. At around 12am a nurse brought me some warm water, although it was quite difficult to swallow, my throat was swollen and sore, I tried to drink it all in order to prevent dehydration. They also offered me to drink some soup or pumpkin juice, but to my surprise, I wasn’t hungry and frankly speaking can’t stand pumpkin! At around 1am I could go to the restroom myself, when I felt a bit more pain, I called for a nurse to give me more painkillers. I was told that can’t get more than once in 4 hrs, so most of the time I tried to endure. Also, it was quite difficult to breath as swelling went up and my nose was blocked. I stayed there for 2 nights an on the day of discharge doc Oh came to check up on me. My rehab was on track, so I was set free to go.
Initial Recovery. It was brutal. Swelling became even worse, I couldn’t open my mouth (had to rinse it at least 10 times a day, to keep it clean), ate only chicken soup (was told to eat only water-like liquids with no crumbs). Drains were removed on day 7 and stitches as well as final check up was 2 weeks after the operation. Swelling started to go down after about 3 weeks or so. I was told to apply cold patch in the morning for anti-swelling and warm at night for bruising, hopefully I had nose, so got only cold ones.
My Diet. For around 2 weeks I ate only water-like food, once all stitches were removed, I could switch to blended and very soft foods. After about 5 weeks I started to exercise my mouth and by now I can fully open it. I’m still trying not to eat to solid food like nuts or opening my mouth too wide as for burgers or apple, but so far, can eat almost everything I want.
Result. I was told that my bones will be totally healed in 1 year and that final results I can see only after 6-8 months. It’s been only 3 months, so I hope the result will get better soon.

I'm 2 months and still with very swollen cheeks. My cheeks and around my lips feel really tight. I still can't open my mouth wide or smile properly. Did you experience this?
