After three pregnancies, breastfeeding three babies and significant weight losses of up to 80 pounds with one of the pregnancy’s, my boobs were deflated and 36 Long!!! Dr Miller and his staff were so helpful, answered all of my questions and did an awesome job of making me feel comfortable. They were also able to conquer my goal pics! My consultation was very quick and was scheduled for my surgery within two weeks of consult. Stats: 5’2 and 155 lbs Implant: 445 UHP in the Sientra 106’s. Before: 36C After: 36DD
My procedure lasted 5 hours. My doctor said he was able to remove 13lbs of fat! I am day 5 post op and finally able to move around. I can not even describe to you the pain I felt day 1 & 2. I could not even stand without assistance. I am swollen for sure but based of pre/post measurements my thighs are each down 2 1/2 inches. My hips seem to not be down anything yet but my back is the most swollen. When they say you need someone the first 24 hours what they should say is you need someone to help you stand, hover over the toilet and surround your body with pillows while you try and get comfortable. I am excited to see my results, I am sure it will be worth it :)
My background is that I had gastric bypass 14 years ago, and lost 110 lbs, a tummy tuck 12 years ago, regained 50 lbs and lost the 50 by changing my diet using Ideal Protein (it was a fantastic diet that truly changed the way I eat). Whether a result of the lost weight or hereditary, I have always wanted to have my under eye bags removed. My mom had the same issues and had a full face lift, neck lift and the fat pads removed from under her eyes...so a strong case for these issues running in the family. After 26 years with a company, I was laid off. I was ok with it and honestly excited about new possibilities. I got a good package and with my husband's support, made the decision to get the mini face lift and lower bleph done while I had time off from work. I'm actively looking for a job and was hopeful that the surgery wouldn't slow down my search dramatically and would improve my odds of competing with younger workers. I initially met with Dr Arch Miller (who did my tummy tuck and did a fantastic job!) to find out about fat graphs in tear troughs. I had tried injectables and it worked great but was $1,500 and only lasted a year. And as the injectable went away, I had loose skin and more wrinkles. Really?! I quickly discovered it was cheaper to do a lower bleph. And while I was there asked him about my waggle. So after much discussion with my husband and looking at all the options, I signed up for the mini face lift and the lower bleph. I was excited about the 2 week recovery time. I am writing this several days out so will break it down by day. Updated on 6 Jun 2017: I don't remember a lot about the day. Surgery lasted 6 hours and then a couple of hours in recovery. I was there 9 1/2 hours all together. Swelling didn't really set in until the day after. Updated on 6 Jun 2017: Had the drains removed and was in considerable pain. I wasn't aware of how much my ears would hurt. Pretty swollen and didn't really recognize myself. I slept a lot. Updated on 6 Jun 2017: Had a medical crisis due to drug interactions. I take Viibryd and was given Nucynta for pain. The combo causes breathing issues and I had to use my rescue inhaler and was just at the point of calling 911 because I couldn't breath. Switched to Tylenol. Probably the most swelling I've had so far. My ears hurt more than anything. Updated on 6 Jun 2017: I was a total mess. Cried most of the day. Missed my mom who passed away 11 years ago to the day. Had so many concerns about if was a mistake in the name of vanity. I read other posts that showed this was pretty normal. Still very swollen and uncomfortable also pretty normal. My husband was so wonderful and supportive. I also took my 1st shower and washed my hair with baby shampoo. Updated on 6 Jun 2017: Swelling is better. I'm yellow all over but can see a little bit of my own face coming back. Definitely feeling better. Updated on 6 Jun 2017: I saw Dr Miller and he said things are looking great! Great to get reassurance from an expert! He removed the stitches...well, the external ones anyway. My ears still feel like they don't belong to my head. Morning, leisurely walks are ok but still supposed to take it slow and easy. Pictures are from before stitches were removed. I am starting to see my face Even though my husband and I both call me moon pie. Updated on 7 Jun 2017: Surgery was over and was headed home. It seems like such a long time ago. Here are pictures from today. Every day shows some improvement. The stitches are still very evident but swelling is better. A few more bruises but all is going well! I have a little more discomfort than yesterday but not too bad. Updated on 10 Jun 2017: My recovery is going well and thought I'd show pictures from a different perspective. What a huge change. I'm still swollen around my ears and neck but looking more like myself. Updated on 12 Jun 2017: I went to Sam's on Saturday. I didn't wear any make up and noticed many people looking at me. I didn't realize how bruised I still was so was a little self conscience. I went to church yesterday and used makeup to cover the bruising. I was a little uncomfortable but not too bad. I did swell a bit and had a little bit of pain. I went toTulsa Toigh for a few minutes and posting pick with my wonderful husband, Marty. Updated on 21 Jun 2017: I saw the doctor yesterday and am posting pictures from his office. It shows a lot more bruising then what I see due to the lighting. Things continue to improve. I'm cleared to exercise, drink caffeine, wear earrings and continue with life as usual. Restrictions are no face down activities such as massage or chiropractic and wear my jaw bra at night and after exercise to limit the swelling. I hadn't asked about the actual surgery and Dr Miller said they did liposuction and removed 100cc (I think that's the measurement he gave...it wa 100 of something) and took about 5 inches of extra skin off each side. Wow! My husband has gone from calling me 'moon-pie' to 'Lumpy' but in the most endearing way. The bruising will continue to get better as will the lumps. I'm pretty excited about the huge improvement! I haven't ever had a strong jawline before and I love it! Updated on 27 Jun 2017: Things haven't changed much in the last week. I have lymph nodes under my chin and behind my ears that are sore. I've continued to sleep in my jaw bra but will try not wearing it tonight. I wore earrings for the 1st time and was laughing because I couldn't feel where the hole was in my ear lobe. My left eye has healed well with the scar looking like a line. The right eye has a pucker in it that I'm hopeful it will lay flat as the sutures dissolve.i'm still swollen around my ears and in the morning I have puffy eyes. I'm adding pictures of the back of my head, too. The left side is way behind the right side. I'd be interested in others that have had a mini-lift had the big lumps and nodes under your chin and how long they lasted. Updated on 27 Jun 2017: I missed a picture so adding the back of my head so you can see the incinsion. Updated on 14 Sep 2017: I haven't updated in awhile. I'm pretty happy with the results but now that the swelling is gone, I have a small waggle and dark circles. Still a major improvement. These pics are without makeup. Updated on 14 Sep 2017: Updated on 14 Sep 2017: Updated on 15 Aug 2018: It’s been more than a year. I still have a small waggle and dark circles. Overall, I’m still happy but wish it would have stayed tighter. My right earlobe is partly numb and I have some tingling on the same side. Nothing I can’t live with. Yes, I would do it again.
Dr. Miller and his staff are absolutely wonderful from the beginning to end of postoperative care. I did a tummy tuck and breast lift with implants last year. Last week I went back for a thigh lift and also upper body liposuction. I did not look into real self much before my own surgery and did not take my own before photos. At some point pending my husband's approval I may ask the clinic and put them up. I only wish I could've done my tummy tuck sooner so I could've enjoyed more pool time with my kiddos. Updated on 20 Jun 2015: I forgot to mention the price listed is reflected in the TT and BL from my initial surgery. One of you was asking about the scarring. My thigh lift incisions are 9 days old now. They still look a bit horrifying. I will post a few photos I took this after noon when I got out of the shower. Apparently all the apps I was going to use to filter out the middle of the full photo have [RS bleep] filters. Who knew?! So I ended up using party pro; least you can get the full pic.
I am mid-50s and had sagging breasts. Dr. Miller did an amazing job of giving my breasts the look they had years ago. I cannot say enough about Dr. Miller and his staff. Dr. Miller examined me thoroughly and then discussed all the options. I also met his partner, Dr. Rola Eid, she was very knowledgeable and helpful as well. After much discussion we decided that a Breast Lift was the best course of action. Now I can wear tight shirts and feel confident again!
I had decided after 4 pregnancy that I wanted to get a breast lift, plus me taking steroids for asthma just increased the size of my breast even more. I started at a B cup at 20 yes old after my children were born I was a 40D after years if taking steroids I ended up a 40DDD. To say I was getting tired if the back problems, sagging breast, my breast slapping me in the face during sex was just too much to continue to endure. My breast were extremely large and uncomfortable many factors contributed to my breast size then. Pictures include before photo's, & post op photo's. I am still healing and still swollen and I still have my stitches in. The pain pump and drains were removed 1 week after surgery. No more back pain No more bruising since I had my breast lift. I'm extremely happy and so is my spouse. Updated on 3 Oct 2013: It's been 3 weeks today My breast appear to look better each week I put a mixture of Vitamin E, Aloe Vera and Cortisone Cream on me morning & night for scarring. There is still swelling in my left breast my Dr says but should continue to go away and my stitches were removed on October 1, 13. I do drive with a small pillow in my lap to combat the bumps and humps of the road. And now I'm sleeping on my side and continue to sleep on my back. As far as sex goes I was told no rough sex, gentle to moderate level only and I was told to wear a bra while engaging in that activity. Because you do not want your breast giggling everywhere. :) lol. I'm looking forward to the upcoming weeks and months and the improvements. I will update with pictures later this week I must say I DO NOT wear underwire bras yet. I wear a zip up Yesmina medical bra that gives me a lot of comfortable or a regular sports bra. Happy journey to you all as well Updated on 14 Oct 2013: I has been 1 month today that I had my reduction and lift I am amazed at how I am healing and how good my scar regimen is working. I use a combination of NewGel+ Sheets and a scar pen treatment from Sephora Updated on 8 Jun 2014: Hello everyone in the realself community I just wanted to update you on my breast reduction and lift surgery. I have to have another surgery this month. Unfortunately my breast dropped 6 months after my surgery. Talking about having a fire works attitude and cry session after. It appears that my breast got bigger thats why they dropped I was the cup size I wanted after my first surgery 40D, well now my breast are back up there at 40DD. I lost a little bit of weight but hadn't gained enough to make my breast enlarge again. I had a pre-op appointment on June 3,14 and my Dr confirmed my breast had gotten bigger and that he should of put anchors in me to hold me up more. So I decided to have the procedure performed again but this time I wanted Saline bags put in. My Dr didnt charge me to perform the surgery again, but I had to pay for the Saline bags, etc. So here I am shelling out more money. The first go around was very painful, I am sure I will have some discomfort this time as well. But there is always Beauty after the pain. I am praying and staying positive that I will have a better outcome on this 2nd surgery. I will post before and after pictures Updated on 23 Jun 2014: 6 month after I got my breast with No breast implants. My husband noticed my breast had dropped a sufficient amount. We looked in the mirror and sure and behold they had. I cried because I didnt want to spend lots of money to have them redone. I immediately contacted my Dr, I went in a he confirmed that they were dropped as well, plus my breast had grew. I didnt understand because I had lost weight not gained any. My Dr said that he should of should Anchors to keep my breast up, we spoke in depth about the revision. I was really excited but did not anticipate that the pain would be worse than before. I told my Dr that I wanted saline put in me 450cc. June 20,14 I had the revision done. I really thought with the lift and saline bags behind my breast muscle would leave me looking like Pamela Anderson. My breast look Flat to me compared to my first surgey. Im asking the RealSelfTalk members to give me their honest believes. Please look at my photo's. First picture up was performed Sept 2013 and the 2nd picture is the second surgery. Updated on 23 Jun 2014: Excuse grammar error's Updated on 23 Jun 2014: 2nd photo of surgery that I just had done on June 20,14 Updated on 6 Jul 2014: I had surgery on 6/20/14. This was my 2nd surgery perfomed by Dr Arch Miller. My first surgery was performed on 9/2013. Which was a breast lift, but he didnt put in Anchors. 4 months later my breast dropped. It was not due to me gaining weight either. I went back to the Dr in May 2014 and the Dr stated he would but in Anchors and do another lift but this time a Augmentation with Saline bags. The Surgery was supposed to take 4 hours, while my husband was in the visiting room he asked repeated what was wrong and was everyone. And the nurse said the Dr will be out shortly. 6 hours later the Dr and said everything had went fine. But we found out immediately that was a lie. I had skin missing off my left breast, and hemotoma within 24hrs after the surgery. I started having chest the 3rd day and my husband ended up taking me to the emergency room 2 times. My left breast was and is currently still bleeding. INFECTION has set up and now I have Skin Necrosis. But day 1 after surgery my Dr. Dr Arch Miller told me I was ok everything looked ok. 8 days after surgery I called again and he states thats the way my breast is supposed to look. I stated no I dont think so. I knew something was gravely wrong. I am still sick n in constant pain. Now I am at the beginning of a Malpractice suit. And the ER Dr found me a new Plastic Surgeon to fix this mess. I am n pain this has caused me a extreme amout of mental and emotional problems, and money. Also it has affected my marriage. At this moment I want the dead skin, infection and pain to go away. I dont not feel like Dr Miller cares or accepts responsibility for what he did to me. Updated on 1 Aug 2014: At this point im very concerned about how my breast look. I left the care of the Dr who performed the surgery. After surgery he never once accepted responsibility for how my left breast looked and never admitted I had a problem going on. After trips to the ER I was given a new plastic surgeon who hss been great. He removed the dead skin and I am going to need a skin graft. Pictures are graphic be warned. Im on valiums now to because this has been overwhelming.
I had a tummy tuck performed by Dr. Archibald Miller. It was necrotic within less than 24 hours. I was stuck on one back when I was planning on being at the beach like he said I would be. He performed a second Tummy tuck to correct the errors of the first Tummy tuck And I am left botched. During Covid I missed a lot of appointments I am an RN. I called his office today to see about getting an appointment and he says he doesn’t want to see me as a patient because I missed him many doctors appointments. Which he knows that he was just patronizing me until I got past the two years mark Where I could sue him I just want everybody to be careful and not to use this doctor. I’ll send pictures to prove what is done to me I know many other people in the medical field they have horror stories like mine. And now he just wants to act like he doesn’t want to see me. Each time was just a pat on the shoulder telling me give it some more time it’ll heal in the long run That pat on the shoulder has left me in a position where I can’t even hardly bend over but that I have an a muscle spasm in my stomach to the point where they’re so crippling. I was very active before this I was a runner I don’t know why I did the surgery but he definitely never explained anything to me he just had me sign bunch of documents getting him off the hook. He’ll definitely smile while he knows what he’s done is wrong and during the pandemic of course I didn’t make my appointments we were in a crisis that got him through not being sued. I just want the world to know what kind of person he is. I look horrible as I look back I realized I look better before I let him get a hold of me and cut me up and make me look like a scarred monster. I do not recommend him he gets a zero recommendation. I’m gonna post something every day just to warn people I’m surprised it didn’t kill me.
After long thought I decided after speaking with my husband and Doctor to get Vaginal Repair Labiaplasty I was knew growing up that something was not quite right in my vaginal area only to find out once I was married that at the age of 4 years I was raped by 2 grown men. After going through the roller coaster cycle Emotionally, Mentally, physically I decided it was time to have a procedure done to fix the damage. On December 18,13 My Dr whom is Dr Arch Miller performed my surgery I can not tell you how happy I am with the Results, the over all appearance of the Before and After is a complete miracle I am 6 days Post Op and have experienced Itching, Burning. Burning mostly when I am up walking. I have tried Antibacterial ointment that just appeared to relieve the hard feeling I was experiencing from the incisions being dry. I finally decided to try the Lidocaine which was 100% perfect took the itching and pain away. I didn't want to keep popping pain pills I didn't want to depend on pain pills each time I felt " Lighting" in my vaginal area per say. I believe as time goes on that the swelling and itching will reside. I have dissolvable stitches in. My vagina looks better in person of course. I have attached photo's of what I look like now 6 day Post Op Updated on 30 Dec 2013: It's been 13 days since my procedure As each days goes by things appear to improve Color formation and the feeling in my vaginalplasty area look good I'm not itching as much and when using the bathroom I always use my Cleansing bottle. I tell you that cleansing bottle is a life saver. My Dr performed my surgery with dissolvable suctures, so there is nothing he has to take out once I go back for my check up in a week. I am taking over the counter pain aid instead of the Narcotic I was prescribed. I eat lots of Yogurt and drink lots of water to ensure my digestive works properly. I'm excited about this whole journey I am feeling better emotionally and physically Updated on 30 Dec 2013: I use a cleansing bottle filled with ws water each time I go to the restroom and I use Hibiclens Skin cleanser Updated on 30 Dec 2013: Cleansing Bottle filled with Warm water Updated on 14 Sep 2014: Hello everyone I just wanted to update everyone on my process after my new surgeon repaired my breast after a botched operation that was performed by my former Dr named Arch Miller. Pictures may appear graphic. Thanks to my New Dr I had a graft performed to fix what had been messed up this has been a long and painful process from the beginning of my 2nd breast surgery. My left breast is still swollen from initial surgery which was performed in June 14. I'm on cost less antibiotics and pain pills I know my left breast will Never be the same on top of everything the 1st Dr. Dr Miller did not Center my breast correctly during the 2nd surgery
I have wanted this for so long! I have a husband who supports me and has offered to pay to have my tummy tuck done. I am plus size. 5"11 and 275 pounds. I have had back surgery with bone taken from my hip and fused my l3/4 together. I'm not trying to be a supermodel. My babies were all ten pounds except one. My stomach no matter how much weight I lose will never shrink up but hang further down. My doctor says I will look awesome and approved me. Fingers crossed all will go well and I will be on the flatter side! Updated on 18 Apr 2017: Any last bits of helpful advice? Plus size lady having the inverted T tummy tuck. No lipo. Nervous. Taking all prescribed pre meds and vitamins. Have tons of pillows, comfy clothes. Pre cooked meals for the family in the freezer. I will be going home with a pain pump and spending one night in the hospital. I'm so excited! Updated on 21 Apr 2017: I had a 7 hour surgery. Repaired a hernia, muscle repair, and inverted T tummy tuck. I have never in my life felt pain like this. Very nauseated. I find out later in the evening I was only getting a low grade pain pill like Tylenol. My night nurse got me a nausea patch and a morphine shot in my IV. I now can tolerate it. I think that was very wrong of the nurse! I kept telling her how bad it hurt and she replied it is supposed o hurt you just had surgery. Not ok. Better now. I haven't seen my belly yet. I think later they are going to take of the binder so I will get a pic hopefully. Updated on 21 Apr 2017: Updated on 23 Apr 2017: I have had a rough go so far. I have only seen a little bit of my belly but so far so good. The pain has been overwhelming. I was able to get to the bathroom by myself earlier. I have a pain pump, how ever so think all the meds were out by first day. I could feel a warm sensation over my muscles repeatedly and then nothing. Getting into the truck to come home was horrible. Getting out wasn't bad. Trying to find a comfy spot in the house with all my pillows. Hopeful to get pics maybe later today. I have three drains and the pain pump hanging. Updated on 23 Apr 2017: Really swollen. I'm happy with the results. I weigh a lot and had lots of fat on my hanging apron. I can work with this and makes it smoother! If you look at the before and after it looks great. Updated on 25 Apr 2017: Updated on 26 Apr 2017: I have lost 16 pounds on day six even with the swelling and drains. Updated on 29 Apr 2017: Updated on 29 Apr 2017: I have been running fever on and off for three days. I thought I might have pneumonia as it was getting hard for me to breath. I was sent to the ER by my doctor. Both of my lungs have blood clots. Will be here for a few days. Praying for the best and praying the don't let loose! Updated on 2 May 2017: I got out of the hospital today. I have blood clots all through my legs and both lungs. I am now on blood thinners and shots for at least six months . This sucks so far. Hopeful to get my drains out tomorrow. Glad I got to the hospital when I did! Updated on 2 May 2017: Updated on 13 May 2017: Felt really flat today. Updated on 15 May 2017: First fitted dress ever with no jacket or big scarf! Updated on 28 May 2017: I wasn't really sure about the surgery and was it worth it. My results are great. It the process for me was rough and on going. I can finally almost lay flat while sleeping. I stretch and feel my muscles that were tightened. It is a weird yet great feeling. I wheeze from the clots in my lungs. Other then that everything is healing nicely. I feel great in clothes and that smile in my face reminds me it was worth it. An emotional ride. But I'm happy with how I look. I have lost 32 pounds to date. I won't be able to exercise or do anything strenuous to get my blood flowing until after August. I Don't want to gain weight. I can't drink my vitamin smoothies because of blood thinners I am on. I have to choose what I eat carefully. Will post pics soon of results without drains soon. Still adjusting! Updated on 28 May 2017: Scar is healing nicely. I'm happy to take full pics now!
I decided to have liposuction done on my abdomen and flanks and get some bigger boobs while I was at it. :) I had 500 cc saline high profile implants under the muscle. I just wanted to share my experience as it seems everybody on here has had a pretty easy go of things. When I woke up from surgery, I was in pain and my pectoral muscles felt sooo tight, it was so uncomfortable. I was freaking out a little bit. They gave me a pain pill and got me ready to go home. I live an hour and a half from where I had surgery so I stayed in a hotel so I could go to my post op appointment the next morning. My mom and boyfriend got me settled in at the hotel and I was still in a lot of pain. My pectoral muscles were just so tight and I wanted to take a muscle relaxer but they said I couldn't take one for 24 hours after surgery. I ended up calling the doctor's office because the pain meds were not working and he said I could double up on them. So I did and that didn't seem to work so that evening my mom paged the doctor and he called in something else. That worked ok. My arms also felt tingly like they were about to go to sleep which was very annoying. The next day I went to my post op appointment. The nurse put a band around the top of my boobs to help push the muscles down. I had bruises under my armpits, and my thighs and butt were very very bruised. We went home and I continued to double up on the pain pills for the next 2 days so I was pretty much passed out the whole time. On the 4th day post op I started to come out of my drugged up stupor. Day 4 and 5 were filled with crying and wishing I hadn't done it. I didn't like being uncomfortable, I didn't like not being able to take care of my children, I just wanted to feel back to normal and get a good night's sleep. My arms were still feeling tingly and it was driving me insane!!! I had taken so many pain meds that I was having a hard time getting out of the haze that they cause. But my mom made me feel better and by the end of day 5 I was feeling ok. I put some make-up on and we got out of the house for a bit. Now it is day 6 post op and I'm feeling ok. Still not completely convinced that I made the right decision yet but I feel like the haze from the pain pills has lifted. I woke up feeling pretty sore because I can only sleep on my back. My problem is now I have sharp pains down in the fatty area above my vagina and it hurts! Not sure why as it is Sunday so I can't call the doctor's office. I will continue to update as I heal!
We need more information about the lymph node removal. We need to know how many were removed, why they were removed, and if you have had radiation. Then we can give you an answer.as miller,ms,md,FACS,FAAP
You can have your arm lift about 9 to 12 months post lipo. It will improve skin texture and may even shrink the skin a small amount.
Your fears about the areas of bumps and asymmetry are normal. But for the most part, these are temporary problems and will resolve. The material and the surrounding tissues will meld and incorporate. It may take as long as a year to resolve, but you should be assured that most will improve.
Strattice is called acellular dermal matrix. It should be used to buttress tissues that are needing additional strength and support. If you are thin and have little breast tissue you should place the implant beneath the muscle. Although it is not 100%, most have excellent results. I do this on a routine basis for 100% of saline implants and many gels in thin patients. The results are acceptable in most cases, and we have minimal post op problems. Our biggest issue is if the implant is displaced upward and one is higher than other. In many instances when this happens we have to open the affected side, and take out capsular tissue and drop the implant. Not as traumatic as the first operation, but still another procedure.but, one must realize strattice is absorbed by body and replaced with your own tissue, so removal is difficult at best, and if in for 9 months or more, impossible. Your demarcations may resolve/dissolve over a period of time.
The surgery averages 4 hours and often has several drains. They are removed from 2 to4 weeks. Your healing will take a true 9 months but most of the swelling will resolve by 3 months. Take zinc, vitamin c , vitamin e and arnica Montana. These will assist in healing. Quercetin and bromelain will decrease your swelling.a miller ms md FACS faap
