I have wanted this for so long! I have a husband who supports me and has offered to pay to have my tummy tuck done. I am plus size. 5"11 and 275 pounds. I have had back surgery with bone taken from my hip and fused my l3/4 together. I'm not trying to be a supermodel. My babies were all ten pounds except one. My stomach no matter how much weight I lose will never shrink up but hang further down. My doctor says I will look awesome and approved me. Fingers crossed all will go well and I will be on the flatter side!

Almost Time to Go to the Flat Side !!
Any last bits of helpful advice? Plus size lady having the inverted T tummy tuck. No lipo. Nervous. Taking all prescribed pre meds and vitamins. Have tons of pillows, comfy clothes. Pre cooked meals for the family in the freezer. I will be going home with a pain pump and spending one night in the hospital. I'm so excited!

Good luck with your surgery! I'm excited for you. My surgery is June 12th. I can't even imagine what it's going to be like with this stomach gone.

Tomorrow is your surgery day. You sound fully prepared. I want you to know that I will be thinking of you and praying for you ! I hope everything goes well for you and that you get to go home after your one night in the hospital. Do not push yourself to do anything the first week except walk. You can just get up and walk around the house the first week. Make sure to follow all of the instructions from your ps, and call your doctor if you develop a fever or anything unusual. I will be waiting for your update when you are up to communicating.

Awww thank you! I'm so incredibly excited and nervous! I can't wait to post pics and updates! I'm the caretaker of the family.... they have never had to take care of me.....shall be interesting lol. Thank you for your prayers it means a lot!

I was/am the caretaker also. My husband is not home much.....Total workaholic!!!
Believe me : The dynamics in my home after my surgery were very interesting!! Hopefully, you have some supportive people to help you !

Day of treatment
Out of surgery!
I had a 7 hour surgery. Repaired a hernia, muscle repair, and inverted T tummy tuck. I have never in my life felt pain like this. Very nauseated. I find out later in the evening I was only getting a low grade pain pill like Tylenol. My night nurse got me a nausea patch and a morphine shot in my IV. I now can tolerate it. I think that was very wrong of the nurse! I kept telling her how bad it hurt and she replied it is supposed o hurt you just had surgery. Not ok. Better now. I haven't seen my belly yet. I think later they are going to take of the binder so I will get a pic hopefully.

That doesn't sound right to me that you were in pain & not on something better than Tylenol. Youch! I'm so glad you have your pain under better control now. Wishing you all the best in your recovery

The nurse telling you that you are supposed to be hurting and not doing anything about it deserves losing her job. Please file a complaint.

You might need to order it online, as it is very popular.
You cannot start scar therapy until your scar is completely closed and there are no open places along the suture line....Best to check with your ps before starting it.
