I have active acne since 9 years of age. In my 20's, I did one round of Accutane. It did decrease the cystic acne. My skin is an oily combo. There is scarring from acne. I do Retina daily on my skin. Do hydroquinine over the counter 2% (did 4% with dermatologist two years ago). Priority is to reduce active acne, then melasma and finally improve my skin texture. Medical advice? Thanks in advance!
I am planning to have the dermamelan/cosmelan treatment in a few days. I have been using hydroquinone 4% (epiquin) for 3 months with little effect. I was just wondering if I can continue using the hydroquinone as I also use the cosmelan maintenance cream? thank you
I am Indian and have tried laser, other peels and creams and nothing worked. The only other cream that worked was hydroquinine but that too stopped working after a few months. I used cosmelan 2 without the mask in 2014 and pigment worsened quite a bit. Later did the peel but worsened even further, why did this happen? Can I try just the cream again?
i had ipl done in jan2011 resulting in hyperpigmentation.i have been using hydroquinone 2% &retinol 0.025% at night and morning kojic acid cream.my skin reacts beautifully with hydroquinone but the marks becomes back to where i started once i stop using it. i have a combination of dermal n epidermal hyperpigmentation.have been advised futurtec by one dr , other dr suggested cosmelan n the third one suggested 10% tca peel. which is the most effective n safe
I'm confused on the difference between Cosmelan md and the original. Is there currently only one type? I read it used to have hydroquinone? Where can I find a provider that has the Medical version that is strongest/ has hydroquinone. Any advice or clarification?
