I had a silicone implant removed that was about 10mm long. Ive got pretty intense dimpling on my chin when I close my mouth. I also think my mentalis nerve is messed up. My chin isnt numb but the sensation is different in my lower lip, chin, and lower gums. Is it a big risk if I get another smaller implant to give me back some projection and smooth out the dimples on my chin? Im worried Ill do more damage to my mentalis nerve, make the muscles in this area weaker & not fix the dimples.
Hi! I am interested in getting a chin implant, and have been for awhile. One of the only things holding me off is my cleft chin. I love that feature and wish to keep it, but I want to fix my chin recession and maybe make my dimple appear more symmetrical. Would this be possible? Thanks!
I am 26 and a healthy weight so I dont think thats the cause. I get these weird dimpled lines across my chin that form a horizontal line and cause my chin to stick out and look weird. How can I fix this?
Hello, I am 4 months post op and I have noticed since about 10 days post op Ive had asymmetry on the right side of my chin (no change/improvement) I dont know what could be causing this but its making me regret the implant (especially since I notice very minimal side profile improvement) I also have skin/muscle dimpling when I move my mouth which I need Botox for now. Im more insecure now than before. Could the implant being placed unevenly be causing this asymmetry?
Hi Doctors. I'm about 3 weeks post-op chin implant. Recovery went smooth. The only issue is, I've developed two dimples, one in particular is quite big. I've never had dimples before. Are these likely permanent and if so, is there anything that can be done about them? Does it point to any other potential issues such as mentalis strain that should concern me? I should note, I literally had no chin bone before, as you can see from my pre-op xray, so the implant was quite big. 8mm silastic to be exact.
I have a nice dimple in my chin which is fairly noticeable. However, because I have a recessed chin, I am considering getting a chin implant to improve my profile. But in the process, I do not want to lose the dimple in my chin. So my question is: is it possible to avoid losing your cleft chin when you get an implant?
For the last year I have been wondering if I should get a small chin implant. I feel that in between my actual chin and my lips, that area of the face dips in a little too far creating an odd look from the side profile. Can you put a small implant in that area to bring it out more or does the actual chin need something done to it? Also I have a small dimple on the chin that I want filled permanently to not have to deal with filler. Do they make small chin implants for little dimples like that?
From the side I like my jawline and lower face and feel I have a wonderfully tight and refined lower face. However from the front I look like a round nub of a lower face. Is this because of a weak chin? How can my lower face look better defined and not so round and cherub like from the front? Can a PDO lift help my lower face? I think my chin dimples and looks odd in the front making me think it's weak but from the side it doesn't look weak to me?
