Over the years i have had many boils due to being over weight and probably other reason which i do not know about. I have lost some weight and now get less boils. they have always primarily been on my buttocks, inner thighs, and on the side of my legs. they are very embarrasing and hold me back from feeling free. I want to know before the scars get older what peels (phenol, tca, glycolic) and percentage i can use to help reduce and diminish these scars. They are dark purple. Many are Spotting.
Today I got my 2nd chemical peel @ a reputable location by an experienced aesthetician. About 2 hrs after my peel, I noticed discolouration in the areas (dark purple/brownish colour) where I already had scarring. I called the clinic & she told me this was normal & when I start peeling, the discolouration will go away. I was also told not to wash it off until I wake up next morning. This never happened the first time so I'm worried. I'm not sure what type or % peel she uses. Attached are pics.
Hello, I have already done multiple 40% lactic acid peels successfully with no side affects. But the last time I did it I went over 3 scabs (pimples that were healing). Now there is no more scab but it looks like theres a scab there. The skin is actually flat and a purplish reddish color. Will this be permanent? I've been applying Neosporin and tamanu oil on the marks.
I recently gave a chocolate peel containing salicylic, lactic, glycolic & kojic acid to a friend, she now has discoloration under her nose & above upper lip (red/purple) does this mean that she received a chemical burn in this area? What are the signs of a chemical burn? Will it scar her face if so? I have no picture sorry - just talked with her on the phone yesterday. This peel is not anywhere close to TCA strength.
