I had a breast lift/ reduction to fix uneven breasts. Its been over a year and I dont have any sensation, the bottom half of both breasts are numb and nipples are too. However, I do still have sensation in the spots where my nipples used to be. It feels like my nipples are still in their old spots sometimes. I also have what feels like tissue thickening where my nipples used to be. Is that normal or do I need to speak with a doctor about it?
I am 34 years old female, recently had breast reduction surgery (about 14 months ago). About 3 days ago, I noticed there is puss coming out my nipple stitches (this is supposed to be a dissolveable stitches, but few blue strings still not completely gone). I am having a constant pain around the nipples area, and there is hard lump, about pea size. My question is, is this an infection ? Or something else that are more serious ? And what should I do to treat this ?
I had a breast reduction last year in March. My incisions never healed correctly now my scars look horrible. I've tried steroids shots but it didn't work. So now I'm thinking about getting them cut off. However I'm worried that they will return. Any advice?
I had a breast reduction just over a year ago. Overall I am happy with my result however my scars are redder than I had hoped. I have a previous surgical scar on my knee and from what I remember it took longer than a year to fade to white. When I compare my breast reduction scars to the surgical scar on my knee it seems that they are darker. I find that my scars appear almost white in natural lighting but in all other lightings are still red. Will they fade more even though its over a year?
I'm concerned with the technique used for a breast reduction and lift completed last September. Originally the scar wasn't in the crease and my surgeon revised this a few months later. The technique used extended the anchor scar well into my midline. I don't necessarily want any revision again but is there something that can be done about the scarring? There appears to be a fold and It's very visible from a swimsuit or low cut blouse.
I am a 47 year old very pale white woman and my skin forms keloid when I have a large cut or injury. I had breast reduction surgery 14 months ago and now have 12 long keloids under each breast. For the 14 months since surgery I have used Biocorneum twice daily, had multiple injections of Kenalog, performed daily scar massage, used Embrace active scar defense sheets for 2 weeks solid with no improvement at all. I had scar revision surgery but the keloids reformed. Is there anything else to try?
I had a breast reduction in March 2018. My surgeon didnt insert jp drains in surgery and I believe that is why my incisions opened up a week later and were draining. my surgeon didnt close them back up, instead he recommended aquaphor and to do dressing changes frequently. Now I'm left with these nasty scars 1 year later and my left breast is slightly bigger than the right. I plan on going back to my surgeon.
I had a reduction mammoplasty procedure last year. Age: 59; height: 56; weight: 161 lbs; BMI: 26.79; BSA: 1.83. He removed roughly 750 gms from each side. Im left with such a small amount that I cant even fill an A cup! What are your thoughts? How do I make sense of what he did and why he did it?
I had my breast reduction one year ago last month. I am SUPER happy with the results, but I have been curious about these marks. For the first month of recovery, they weren't very noticeable, but quickly became larger and darker. I figured they would fade, but a year later they are still here. Does anyone know what these dark spots are, and if there is a way to fade them? Thanks!
