Hi. I had an anchor scar Breast lift and buttock implants 3.5 weeks ago. The results have beengreat but on Friday I noticed that the left breast scar had opened slightly. . I asked my doctor and they said manuka honey would be good. It seems to be ok, is slightly sore ( I have to lie on my front for 3 more weeks ) I was on broad scope ciprofloxina for a month but I run out of that on Tuesday this week. I'm hoping that o could get some reassurance that this looks ok. I read that this is normal.
Had my stitches removed after 2 weeks. That evening I had experienced separation. The PS office said to do a wet to dry twice a day. I am following up in the morning with an appt. after starting the wet to dry it appears the wounds are getting bigger. Could they restitch or use steri strips to reclose or reinforce what is closed. Scared that more will open. Had partial nipple necrosis and an infection earlier on. Infection was cleared with antibiotics. Super depressed. Please help.
Im 19 Days PO, my surgeon is not local but I am in contact with his coordinator. He suggests that I return to re-stitch, clean & monitor for a week. I dont want to re-stitch if problem might happen again. I read its better to not re-stitch. I have appointment locally with wound care next week. Treating wound with silver dressing, Dakins & Manuka honey currently. How long should I wait for healing before I consider returning to re-stitch? Id prefer to stay local in (NYC).
Started opening 3 weeks post op silver bandages and wet dressings. Salt water. Been tested for all disease came back clear. So tired of seeing this every day. No stitches ever came to surface. Will it heal and scar revision? Plastic surgeon stumped why its happening.
I had a complex breast lift with reaugmentation a little over 2 weeks ago. On my 2 week follow up it was discovered that the incision separated on the left breast. My PS advised me to do twice a day wound care dressing changes cleansing with Mycrocin spray and Silvasorb gel. I'm not sure if it's working as I think the wound looks bigger now. Can you please look at my pics and tell me if its getting better or worse. Is it infected. I do have pain more of a burning sensation. Thank you in advanced.
