Saved me after a much needed revision

I went to Dr Liotta after another doctor performed my primary rhinoplasty in LA. I was very unhappy with my initial results as they were too upturned, uneven and did not fit my Asian features. After many other doctors on nyc were hesitant to take on a revision I found Dr Liotta through a referral and was so happy I did. She was patient and candid about expectations and the results ended up so natural and like many of her noses you’ll see on her Instagram. Beyond the results that looked amazing right away, she had the most responsive and patient aftercare I have ever experienced. Throughout more paranoid during the healing period she did not get upset and answered all my questions and I’ve seen her since for steroid injections to help with swelling ( Largely bc I had a complicated revision). I have people compliment my nose and have even referred patients to her as well!

Super cute profile that suits my face completely

So happy I found Dr Liotta for my revision rhinoplasty surgery. Revision surgery is an emotional roller coaster - Dr Liotta even says this! She knows. I’d say she’s a miracle worker, but I know it’s a combination of skill, passion and artistry. She knows noses and loves them! She’s also super lovely and caring and yes, gives you her mobile number and email if you have any concerns. A rarity. I waited 30 years (!!) to fix my botched original surgery. I was never happy with it but just felt, I did it to myself so I had to suffer it, you know? I think not helped by my family (step)’s attitude either - they were never really on board with the whole decision. Thankfully attitudes towards plastic surgery have changed a lot since then. I kinda stopped caring about my nose after a while but I disliked it even more after surgery than before! And then, finally one day I thought, you know what? I’m going to do something about it! Why put up with something I’m not and never have been happy with? And it felt the really empowered choice. I researched and emailed a lot of doctors, but as soon as I found Dr Liotta I knew she was the right one. Many doctors won’t even take on revision cases because they know how complex they are. They’re basically flying blind - not just trying to give you a beautiful nose (hopefully) but to correct all the previous mistakes. My nose was crooked, my nostrils were too exposed, one side sloped off completely (Dr L said there was NO cartilage left on that side !), my breathing was always congested - you could see one nostril squished in the photo taken below I sent her. And my profile just looked ugly to me - the one thing I wanted corrected/improved in the original surgery but was made worse. Dr Liotta said “you’ll love your profile after surgery” and she was right. I now have, what I think is, a super cute profile that suits my face completely and an elegant straight nose with smaller nostrils, no longer exposed. It suits my face and its’ proportions so much better. What I will say - it took a year really for the swelling to go down and I still have more to go. Because she added a little to my bridge and one side of my nose, you have to expect more swelling, than if only some taken away. Be prepared. I was not initially prepared for this! She told me before “cast off” I would not have that big reveal moment - and that’s exactly what I was looking forward to! My nose looked huge to me when she took the cast off. I was devastated! She told me everything, how the swelling would go down etc etc but I didn’t really hear any of it. I felt like I’d made the 2nd biggest mistake of my life (1st was original surgery) - see what I mean about an emotional rollercoaster?! But I emailed her the next day - and more times after that - and each time she reassured me and I knew I just needed to be patient. I chose her for a reason and trusted she knew what she was doing. So yes I did wear a mask around for a bit! On the plane home! The extra on my bridge made my eyes look really close together (they’re not) - but that faded quickly - and my nose looked bigger and uglier (to me) than my original nose ever did. And I cried over not feeling strong and confident within myself to never have had surgery in the 1st place. And then slowly it got better. Evenings were always better than mornings. One night in the dimly lit bathroom, shadows were cast on my nose and I caught a glimpse of how my nose was going to be and I was happy. My daughter reassured me and said she could see what was swelling and what wasn’t. I took photos a little obsessively to track it all! And then I relaxed. 3 months was a milestone. 4 months even more so. The profile early on looked great so I was happy for that too. Dr Liotta gave me a photo taken of my new profile on the operating table, so I knew it was going to look even better. The tip still looked bulbous though. But I knew that was just swelling and would go down. And it did. It seemed to race along till 6 months and then 9 months and then regress a little and improve again. Good days and not so good - with swelling. 1 year on I’m super happy. Still evenings my nose looks better than when I wake up - it’s subtle but you still notice everything. Some days it looks better than others. I can’t wait for the 2 year point when all swelling should be completely gone and my nose always looks the same. I feel like Dr Liotta gave me the nose I was always meant to have and I’m exceedingly grateful. If you’re at all undecided, I’d say go for it. If you had previous surgery and aren’t happy with it - life is too short, do something about it! And if you’re in a position to choose Dr Liotta, I’d also say go for it. She’s an amazing doctor and surgeon - truly passionate about her work and giving you the best result possible. And super lovely and caring too. You hardly ever find that combination.

The results were perfect — exactly as she outlined

"I had an incredibly positive experience with Dr. Liotta. From consultation to post-op, Dr. Liotta was approachable, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. She listened to what I hoped to accomplish to repair my broken nose & deviated septum. The results were perfect—exactly as she outlined. Dr. Liotta and her staff provided detailed pre & post-op instructions. And most importantly, the doctor was ALWAYS available for questions and checked in frequently. I was amazed at how smoothly everything went. I couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend Dr. Liotta!"

Best decision of my life - 1.5 years post-op

I have wanted a rhinoplasty for as long as I can remember. I inherited a really big Roman-esque nose and have pondered this decision for decades before I finally found a doctor who was sooooo worth the wait. I am based out of New York City but consulted surgeons in SF, LA, and even London, as well as other reputed nyc surgeons before I found Dr. Liotta. I came across Dr. Liotta's profile when a model friend of mine revealed that she had undergone a rhinoplasty. I was so shocked because it truly looked like God himself had built her nose. It wasn't until my first consult that I noticed that a high school friend of mine was following Dr. Liotta on Instagram, and when I reached out to her to ask about her experience, she revealed that she had undergone a rhinoplasty several years prior. I would never have been able to tell because Dr. Liotta truly builds the most natural, stunning and functional nose. As someone who is one and a half years post-op, I am the most confident I've ever been. I've stopped wearing makeup and the heavy eye liner I used to in order to distract from my nose. I love how natural and beautiful I feel. I went for a consult during Covid and she was so patient with all my questions and concerns, and realistic about what could be achieved given the anatomy of my natural nose. I loved that about her, she really does her best and then holds your hand throughout the healing process. So many surgeons told me exactly what I wanted to hear but she told me what was possible given the vision I had and the limitations of my anatomy. I wanted to preserve my ethnicity, deproject my nose, support my tip with a slight upturn, and have an osteotomy to narrow my nasal bridge. Basically, I wanted her to do everything, and she did! And she did every one of these things so brilliantly that I've fallen in love with my face. I have waited a year and a half post op to write this review so I could write it from a place of authenticity. Honestly, I wish I did this decades sooner. She is worth every penny you spend on your nose, she's truly a master of her craft. If I were to turn the wheels of time, I'd pick her again every single time. A friend of mine is also going to Dr. Liotta after seeing my results. Feel free to DM me if you have any questions. I know what it's like trying to narrow down a surgeon and sift through thousands of reviews. I can confidently recommend her with a clean conscience because I'm overjoyed at my results. Healing from a rhinoplasty is such an emotional journey, the swelling truly does take a year (more if you have thick skin like mine) and Dr. Liotta was available at all hours to address every single concern. Once you pick the right surgeon, the healing process becomes ten times easier. To anyone read in this, Dr. Liotta was the best decision of my life. I was very clear that I wanted to do rhinoplasty only once, and I won't allow anyone else to touch this masterpiece because she's given me a nose that I would have like to be born with.

Dr. Liotta is One in a Million - a True Talent

Dr. Liotta performed my THIRD revision rhinoplasty (4th surgery) and I am in awe of the results. After three failed surgeries, I came to her desperate for answers and hope, and she wildly surpassed my expectations. My original rhinoplasty was done by a well-respected surgeon, but required a revision. My first revision was completed by my original surgeon and she massively over-resected my nasal bridge. I was left with no definition in my bridge at all and every surgeon I saw agreed that the bridge needed to be built up. My second revision was completed by a different surgeon and the bridge of my nose was built up with rib cartilage. Although the bridge was better, it still needed to be built up more, the radix of my nose sat too low and unfortunately that surgeon had changed the entire style of the tip. My nose no longer made the desired triangle shape that I had originally, and was instead shaped like a big “U”. The tip of my nose now had a prominent columella (which my original nose did not). I HATED the tip. I came to Dr. Liotta very distressed and she spent two hours over two different appointments discussing my nose with me in detail and answering all my questions honestly. I chose Dr. Liotta because of her competence, patience and aesthetics. I love all of her noses on her Instagram because they always look natural. I love that about Dr. Liotta’s style. The fee for this last surgery was the best money I ever spent. She built up my nasal bridge using my ear cartilage and I look so natural! People CANNOT believe I’ve had four rhinoplasties. Honestly, my original goal was to have her fix just the bridge because I thought the tip was a lost cause. I was going to therapy to learn to accept my new tip (which looked SO different from my original) because I thought nothing could be done. Dr. Liotta assured me she could make it better (not perfect but better) and I said go for it. I have no idea what she did in there, but somehow my tip looks like my original tip again! I could cry when I think about it. My tip is no longer pinched, I have a triangle shape and I no longer have a prominent columella. My original nose always had a flat base (parallel to the floor). I was so sad that had changed but somehow Dr. Liotta got it to look like my original nose again. I am still confused about how she did it, but she definitely gave it the magic touch. It feels so freeing to let go of this “nose saga” that I have been dealing with for over 6 years. I am so grateful to Dr. Liotta. I think she is one in a million. She is smart, conscientious AND an artist – a true talent and possibly even a descendent of Michaelangelo. My only regret is not having Dr. Liotta perform my original rhinoplasty. If you need a rhinoplasty, she is your girl! My whole experience was very positive, her office staff was great, and I am very appreciative.

Two years later, I'm thrilled with the results

I flew 19 hours to have surgery with Dr. Dara, and it was absolutely worth it. From the get go, I knew she was the one for me—she seemed to read my mind and shared my vision for what made a nose attractive. She's not only incredibly skilled but also very kind and lively. You can tell she genuinely cares about how you feel and how things turn out. During my recovery, she regularly checked in via text, giving advice and support. Her team was fantastic, and her nurse, Julia, went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and calm before the surgery. I stayed in NYC for about nine days and had my cast removed on day 7 with very little discernible swelling. Her surgery suite is in her office at Park Avenue, which made it really convenient, and there was zero wait time at all my appointments. Now, two years later, I'm thrilled with the results. My breathing is amazing—Dr. Dara's expertise in both ENT and facial plastics really made a difference with the septoplasty and fixing a collapsed valve. My otolaryngologist back home said my septum is the straightest he's seen in ages, and my dermatologist called it the best rhinoplasty she's ever seen. Dr. Dara has a real knack for giving you the nose you were always meant to have. Her gift is creating undetectable work. No nose is perfect before or after surgery, but Dr. Dara gets you pretty close to it. She's truly exceptional at what she does, and I can't recommend her highly enough. If you get surgery with her, I highly recommend following everything in the surgery booklet.

I finally love my nose, especially my profile

For most of my life I have felt self conscious about my nose. After having a rhinoplasty with Dr. Liotta I finally love my nose, especially my profile. When I went in for my consultation I told Dr. Liotta exactly what I was looking for. She created renderings and truly delivered exactly what she promised. From my initial appointment to a year and a half post op, Dr. Liotta has been compassionate, approachable, and patient. From day one she was accessible by text message. From daily check ins post op to follow up questions even a year and a half later she responds extremely quickly. When I had a run in with a closed door in the middle of the night I text her and she responded soon after with clinical efficiency and got me into her office ASAP. I have never had such a hands on accessible experience with a doctor before. Her office staff is lovely and efficient. Every part of her office is immaculate. Being able to also have surgery done in the office oppose to a hospital is a total luxury and extremely efficient. No extra waiting to check in or check out and a great level of privacy. Her surgical team was calming and confident and I felt safe in their hands. Dr. Liotta's is so smart and talented and has incredible bedside manner. I never felt nervous or uncomfortable. I LOVE my nose. I would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat.

The Nose of my Dreams is Finally my Reality!

At nearly 40 years old, I finally have the nose I have wanted since my 13th birthday. Everything about the process with Dr. Liotta was seamless and amazing. She and her staff made me feel so comfortable and safe. Dr. Liotta was available, patient, answered all of my questions and has the absolute best bedside manner of any surgeon (this is rare)! She immediately understood my concerns and explained how she would address them. Most importantly the results are exactly what I wanted. My nose looks airbrushed, perfect, but I still look like me. My only regret is waiting so long to have this done. I could not recommend her enough.

Rhinoplasty Queen - One of the Best Decisions of my Life

My review is long overdue, but it feels timely nonetheless as today is exactly two years since I had my primary rhinoplasty with Dr. Liotta. I had wanted to have this surgery for over a decade, but it never felt like the right time or surgeon until I discovered Dr. Liotta's work online. From consultation and pre-op to surgery and every post-op visit, Dr. Liotta and her entire team were so kind and caring. She listened to me, took the time to understand my goals, answered every question I had in a way that was understandable and realistic, and she makes herself available with her personal phone number. I felt assured walking into surgery (along with the fun music playing in the operating room) - I knew I was in the best hands. After my surgery, I had skin that was "sticking" (due to my thin skin and anatomy), and she saw it and addressed it before I could mention it. She performed a quick procedure a few times over several months to fix it. She also gave me steroid injections for some residual swelling on a small area of the bridge of my nose, which again, she noticed immediately without me even asking. All this to say, she is meticulous with her work and did everything necessary to give me the best and most natural result possible. I thought my nose was perfect at one year post-op, but it has gotten even better now after two years. Because of her skill and expertise, my life and my confidence have been changed for the better. My breathing has improved, and I have the nose of my dreams. She is worth the investment, and I simply could not recommend Dr. Liotta more!

2 years past my surgery and so happy with how things turned out

I loved my experience with Dr. Liotta! Dr. Liotta performed a revision rhinoplasty on me in February 2022 - my nose was a mess and she was able to give me a nose that looks very natural. You could pretty much see all the way inside my nostrils due to a drooping columella, and a collapsed septum that made my nose look twisted. My nose is now straight and the inside of my nostrils aren't on display. It's not 100%, but Dr. Liotta was very upfront and honest about what she thought she would be able to do and helped me understand that revisions aren't perfect since she can't go back to a pre-operative time. It definitely helped manage my expectations. I'm just about 2 years past my surgery and am so happy with how things turned out. Dr. Liotta is absolutely lovely, incredibly talented and very responsive (both before and after surgery) - I felt very comfortable with her and would recommend her to anyone. The staff were also lovely and helpful. 10/10 recommend if you're thinking of a primary or revision rhinoplasty.
