Hello, I've have multiple revisions in the past. 2 previous surgeries with a device called pocket protector made of same material as gore-Tex expanded poly tetra Fluor ethylene that was supposed to prevent capsule contracture from recurring. I'm running out of options and was wondering if stattice is a good option for me or would make a significant difference in my chances of recurrence. It's been 8 years since my last surgery which I had a complete capsulectomy and new silicone implants.
I have 10yr saline, under muscle(325ccs)implants. 5'1, 99lbs, AA before surgery. Shortly after surgery they began to move into my armpits and its gotten worse over the yrs. New PS says go with smaller silicone implants and use strattice. Do you all agree? It's quite expensive and I dont want any regrets. How long is drain necessary with strattice? Also, I want a little smaller, but not too much. Is it safe to go close to the original size?
I am a 32DDD with 600cc high pro cohesives. My left pocket has grooves in it (I can feel where slices were cut in capsule and it's left visual grooves) from capsulotomy for cc grade 2/3. My right implant now has at least a grade 2 contracture. This is the second cc of right side; first was a grade 4. 5'9 125 very small frame. What are the average costs of a revision dual capsulectomy with new implants and strattice? Other advice?
I had a ba in 2001 with smooth, saline, over the muscle and developed bilateral cc, worse on right side, within a few months. In 2003 I went to a new ps, I changed to a smaller implants, smooth saline, under the muscle, ps used drains, and I developed cc again in the right side with in a few weeks. In 2005 I removed the implants. I have been reading about the use of strattice for recurrent cc. I was quoted $3K for the strattice. What kind of results have you had with using strattice for cc?
Is there a long term health risk if using strattice or alloderm to do revisionary breast augumentation such as fixing capsular contracture or symmastia? How well can a person body incorporate this foreign tissue? Can it be removed easily? Thank you
