8 years ago I had a breast augmentation, about 6 months ago I started to notice a different sensation in my breasts. They felt sensitive to touch, and they even started to harden. It became extremely uncomfortable. At this point, I was worried and started doing some research on the internet about my situation. I then ran into Dr. Perez-Gurri's link on RealSelf and realized that what I had was a capsular contracture, and started going through his corrections of capsular contracture before/afters and reviews. I was then convinced to make a consultation with him. The receptionist was extremely friendly over the phone and made an appointment that was convenient to my schedule. My consultation was very informative and Dr. Perez-Gurri explained in detail the classes of capsular contractures. Unfortunately, I was a class 4 of 1, which meant it was visible and associated with pain. Between the consultation with the Dr, the surgery center tour, the assistants, and patient coordinators, it didn't take much to convince me that day to book my surgery date! Put it this way... my consult was on a Tuesday, and my surgery was scheduled for that Friday!

The moment I walked into Dr. Perez-Gurri's office, I felt a sense of ease. He made me feel comfortable enough to where I can open up to him about my self-esteem concerning the capsular contracture. He was very understanding and comforting. What I appreciate about him is that he is very upfront and honest. Following my examination, he was very thorough about the procedure and capsular contracture classes. He explained in detail my situation and what needed to be done. I was convinced that he was going to be the doctor to fix my problem!
