In 2005, I had my first breast augmentation (by a different plastic surgeon). I liked my implants but never "loved" them. One child later and also dropping my body fat percentage about 8-10%, I was not happy with how I looked.

I spent HOURS researching several plastic surgeons in Northern Utah. I read all their reviews on several different websites, checked out before and after pictures, and spoke to SEVERAL people. I narrowed it down to 4 doctors from Ogden to Layton. I knew people who had gone to 2 of the 4 doctors.

By my 3rd consultation, I thought I had found the "one". However, I wanted to wait for my 4th consultation (with Dr. Ashby) before making a decision. During my consultation with Dr. Ashby, I knew very quickly I had made the right choice by not jumping into a decision before meeting with him.

Like doctor #3, I liked Dr. Ashby immediately. I thought this was going to create a hard decision for me to make. How am I to choose between the two? However, Dr. Ashby made my decision easier than I had originally thought!

Dr. Ashby took more measurements than any of the other 3 doctors had. The 3rd doctor I met with (the one that I thought was "the one") told me I was going to need a full breast lift, which would have left me with an anchor scar. Obviously, I didnt want those scars, but he convinced me I wouldnt achieve the look I wanted without it the anchor lift. Dr. Ashby didn't agree. He said he would want to do everything he could to avoid those scars.

I was struggling to make a decision on a new implant size, because I already had implants. The other 3 doctors gave me small (100, 150, & 200 CC) teardrop implants to put in my bra to give me an idea of what I would look like with the additional CCs to my already 490 CC implants. Those small implants didn't make me look much different. So i had NO idea what size to go with, because i didnt accurately know what i would look like. Dr. Ashby offered to drain my saline implants a few days before my surgery so I would be 100% sure on my decision of what size to go with.

Another thing that set him apart from the others was that he was the first doctor to explain to me why I was not happy with my currently implants. (one of my complants was my implants had moved toward my armpits). He explained to me that most peoples' ribs/chest are flat but that my ribs/chest is curved, causing my implants to naturally want to navigate to my armpit. He explained how he would close off the capsule on the sides near my armpits to prevent that from happening.

I quickly made me decision to go with Dr. Ashby. I'm so glad I did!

Dr. Ashby wasn't the cheapest doctor, but he did however review the quote I received from doctor #3 and matched his price.

I decided to go ahead and have Dr. Ashby drain my implants 3 days before my surgery. It was a quick, painless procedure. I went with 700 CC high profile silicone gel implants. Before draining my implants, 700 CCs was a big, scary number to me. But after draining my implants, i could see that with my height and body frame (I'm 5'9" and 140 lbs) the 700 CCs didn't look unproportionate to my body.

I also had the internal breast lift done and he made a half-moon incision around the top of my areola to move my nipple up slightly. My scars look a-m-a-z-i-n-g! Today I am 11 days post surgery and I can barely see my scars. I am amazed at how good they look!!! WOW!!!!

My results are better than I ever expected. And I didn't need the anchor lift after all. :) Recently, After discussing my experience with others, I have discovered several other friends/neighbors who also went to Dr. Ashby and I had no idea! All of them had the same great experience that I did.

I couldn't be happier with my results!!!!! Dr. Ashby and his staff are amazing!!!
