I loved my natural looking silicone breast...
I loved my natural looking silicone breast implants from 1979, but in 2005, a doctor squeezed one of them to check the "scar tissue" and ruptured it and the scar tissue. It continued to morph over the years, hardening and changing shape and causing needle sensations and discomfort. Normally, scar tissue keeps implants from leaving the site. Dr. Katzen did an amazing job of removing them both, (which was very laborious) and replacing them. The ruptured one had a lot of calcification crystals (the body sends calcium to injured sites to try and repair the wound) and the silicone was in pieces as was the scar tissue and implant sac. The whole thing was completely unrecognizable. The sac on the other implant was so fragile, like that of tissue paper. He showed the gruesome pictures of what he took out of me and explained the process and what happened. He had to take out more tissue from the breast that had the rupture than the other side, thus having to replace the old ones with two different size silicone implants but making sure they looked equal. His procedure and technique to be this precise was amazing and he showed me each step process and his technique. The new implants are amazingly durable, strong and will never rupture. They are soft and pretty and a great shape. The surgical team was amazing, professional, quiet and considerate, meticulous, and focused!!

Dr. Katzen is amazing with his kind, caring, gentle bed side manner, detailed explanations, patience, and very precise, meticulous work. He is an excellent listener and works with the patient to provide the vision that the patient has in mind, instead of his own vision, like some doctors might do. He was always available for concerns and check ups while healing. I will most definitely have Dr. Katzen as my go to doctor for any other procedures!!
