Question viewed 436 times
I'm from Spain but currently living in New York for the following 5 months. I was thinking on getting a nose job in the States but I want to know first, can I have plastic surgery here if I'm not a resident? I have a business Visa.

Your citizenship shouldn't matter
As long as you have found a doctor who you believe in and are willing to pay in full up front, there is no reason your country of origin or citizenship should matter,

Visa status does not matter for elective plastic surgery

Residency and Surgery are not related
I have many patients who come from all over the world to have their cosmetic surgery here. Although we may not have the perfect health care system in the world, we do some of the best surgery.

Sure. A lot of our patients are from out of the country.
To acruanyes,
Hi! There are certainly no legal or immigration issues. We have a whole system to make cosmetic surgery easier for out of towners (pre and post operative care, nurses, hotels, etc.). But you are not an out of towner, any way. And I speak a couple of other languages. Naci en Buenos Aires.

Non-U.S. Residents Can Have Plastic Surgery in the U.S.
Hi Acruanyes,
Yes you can have rhinoplasty in the United States. Rhinoplasty is not covered by insurance so expect to pay anywhere from $6,000 to $20,000 depending on the surgeon that you choose.
Choose your rhinoplasty surgeon carefully, and don't let the cost be the deciding factor. It is much more expensive to correct poor surgery.
Good luck and be well.
Buenas tardes.
