Retin A NOT a Good Option for Freckles
Hi RP123. We do not suggest Retin A for freckles. To permanently remove them, we would suggest a q-switched Nd:Yg laser. View the pictures below for cases where we have permanently removed freckles. Retin A cannot and will not accomplish this. Good luck.

Retin A Effective for "Sun Spots"
In addition to improving acneiform lesions, topical retinoids such as Retin A do have beneficial effects on photodamage such as "sun spots" and freckles. With continued use over many months combined with photoprotection, many patients note that their freckles do indeed fade.

Retin A is part od the treatment of black heads white heads small cysts. You need a skin care program to control all thse problems, that may also include chemical peels, some times laser if your skin color permits that
