Hello. 6 weeks post op septo-rhino. All swelling externally seems to have gone down but inside its a different matter. My nose feels like its on fire with continious pain, it feels to me like its the septum pushing top and bottom. This was straightened as and I had some tip reduction but my tip is fine There was a small shaving down on the bridge and I am feeling pain on the bridge from time to time. There is no infection as i have been checked a few days ago. How long can the pain last.

Bruising after rhinopasty is almost always uneven, the the closer to the skin the more color in the bruise. The discoloration takes three weeks or longer to fade. You will see just what is up when the splint is removed.
You did not mention how long ago for your surgery, or mention if you could see the nose straighten with firm pressure. I am with you though, a little tape may cover things up, but not much more.
If a patient has a sufficient amount of ear and/or nasal cartilage available, it is possible to use the cartilage rather than a synthetic implant to build up the bridge.
