Is Lowering the Nose Tip Difficult After a Previous Surgery? (photo)

I had a rhinoplasty operation in april 2009, and the surgeon has turned the tip far too high. Also, my nose bridge is very short and wide, with no definition or straightness. It especially tooks strange at the very top, between my eyes. As before i had a high bridge and now its kind of flat and mushy looking. Can anything be done?

Bridge reconstruction

Although it is hard to tell from just one view it appear that you have an over-resected bridge and perhaps even a pollybeak - revision surgery, possible with rib graft, would be needed.

Any secondary rhinoplasty is difficult

Lengthening the Nose

The nose can be lengthened and the bridge augmented with rhinoplasty surgery. Most often, your own cartilage is used to achieve the desired length and definition. In your case see an experienced revision rhinoplasty surgeon.

Short nose can be made longer

The typical rhinoplasty is usually to make a nose smaller and shorter. However, we can also raise the bridged of a nose and lengthen a nose as well. This can be performed in both primary and revision Rhinoplasty. Grafts of your own cartilage are used to make these changes. This is a challenging procedure and I recommend you seek out a Rhinoplasty specialist for nasal lengthening surgery.
