I underwent open rhinoplasty on my nose, which had a bulbous tip, low bridge and wide alar base. During the surgery, an alar base cinch suture was performed among others. I'm still trying to get used to my new nose - it's been over a week. However, the alar base cinch suture has affected my smile. My upper lip is stiff and doesn't move when I smile, so my upper teeth doesn't show. Can the alar base cinch sutures be removed or cut to fix my smile? How soon can this be done?
