After my Lip Lift, Will my Upper Lip Still Continue to Rise or is This It? I'm at Day 11. (photo)

My lip looks shorter right after surgery, and now it just appears that it's continuing to drop. My doctor told me that most people's lips will rise as the swelling goes down, but mine appears to be doing the opposite. Is it that after the initial swelling, the lip drops, and then as time goes on the skin tightens and it rises? Am I jumping the gun?

11 days post-op lip lift expectations

At 11 days after a lip lift, the swelling may appear to lengthen the lip. Once the swelling has subsided, you will get a better idea of the final result. Swelling in the upper lip can take a little longer than some areas, because, as you know, water flows downhill, and it gets caught in the lip and has to move laterally to dissipate.
